“Did they go down easy?” Embry asks after following his scent and finding him in the office, after getting Gunnar and Roan to sleep. My brow furrows seeing him dressed down in only pajama pants, standing at the edge of the desk looking over a few papers.

“They did, what are you doing in here? Come on let’s go to our room so you can help me get out of this,” I groan, trying to unbuckle the side of my armor, despite not being able to reach.

“I’m just checking out our new home and making sure we have nothing pressing to attend to. Come here, I’ll help you, you’re not meant to reach that,” Embry chuckles with a shake of the head. I look up at his beautifully freckled face gazing down at me, butterflies start building in my stomach from the way he looks at me.
