“Lily, I’ll be ok don’t fight him,” Freya begs me through the link as she struggles against Dagon’s grip. “No Freya, this is not ok. You are pregnant it is my job to protect you,” I link back while shaking my head staring Dagon in the eye hoping he will back down for once.

My heart races when the corners of his lips curl into a smile at my growl, when he flips Freya over, so they are face to face.

“Hmm what should I do with you?” Dagon pins her wrists above her head and stares down at my mate like she is a blank canvas ready for him to do whatever he wishes with.

“Do you want to tell me what you’re hiding?” Dagon questions, standing at the edge of the bed holding her down by her throat.

“I won’t tell you anything that will give you leverage on my mate or any other kingdom, you’re a monster that will never gain power again.” Freya spits in his face, which only him chuckle as he wipes the spit away then back hands her, making me thrash in James’ ti
