“Where are they?” I frantically look around as a whimper escapes me, feeling the strongest urge to hold my pups and never let them go.
“Right here, I have them right here for you,” Dad’s voice comes from behind Embry, making my mates move apart.
“Thank the Goddess,” I sob, rushing to grab my pups from him, pulling Roan and Gunnar into my chest feeling like they can’t get close enough.
“They’re perfectly fine, Phoenix protected them well,” my father’s voice softens as he does his best to reassure me, watching my mates holding our pups and me.
“I’m so sorry this happened, I know it is because of Dagon’s fear of me. If Phoenix hadn’t been with our pups they’d be gone,” I cry into Jonathan’s shoulder as my body shudders in exhaustion. My mate pulls me deep into his arms, holding the three of us close using the bond to the help soothe my frayed nerves.
“Shhh, you have no reason to be sorry Rakas. None of this is your fault,” Jonathan speaks softly, rocking me in his comforting embrace. I feel Osric’s forehead rest against the back of mine, and Embry’s hand rubbing up and down my side.
“He tried to kill me! He nearly killed our pups!” Feeling overwhelmed and angry I nearly scream at my mates. I sob and whimper feeling their distress, yet still feel like they don’t understand this is being done because of me.
“Raven, look at me! This is not your fault, not one God damn bit of it is your fault, do you hear me?! You never asked to be an Alpha, a Luna, a Queen, or a Goddess. You were born with the power to lead your people and protect them, it is not your fault a power-hungry man is crazy enough to hurt or come after you through your family in an attempt to steal your power, a power he’ll never be able to take, let alone control,” Osric growls, while firmly grabbing my face between his fingers, making me look up into his angry eyes.
“You didn’t do this, you are mine. My Luna, and I failed to protect you from someone who betrayed all of us, if you must blame someone, blame me,” Osric’s voice comes out harsh when he presses his forehead to mine and takes deep breaths.
“How can you say that, this is in no way your fault, Sieluni.” Osric shakes his head cutting of my words as I feel his anger through the bond.
“No, Dagon should be dead. I thought I killed him, but he survived, I am the one who failed to put him down,” Osric argues, when I feel his head pull away making me look up to I see Jonathan pulling Osric’s head up with a fist full of hair.
“Stop! Enough blaming yourselves, Dagon was dead, his witches preserved his life by blocking his soul from moving on. They brought him back and he is the one chasing a power he cannot obtain; Jacoby and Valery were traitors to their kind, and betrayed all of us. Grab your pups and your mate, let’s get to the Blood Moon pack house where we will be safe and can rest for the night, then we will make a plan tomorrow,” Mummo heatedly snaps at us with a clear tone of frustration making everyone move away from her.
We kneel, listening to her words carefully, feeling her calming aura slip over all of us helping us relax, despite feeling her frustration as well.
“Thank you, Addy,” Jonathan thanks Mummo; Vaari walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her.
“Just take care of my cub, she needs you three,” Mummo warns my mate with a firm nod when Embry takes Gunnar, and Osric takes Roan from my sides.
I attempt to protest when Jonathan picks me up, I rest my head on his shoulder and wrap my arms around his neck, when one of his arms hooks under my legs while the other supports my back.
“We’ve got you, let us get you and our pups to our room at the pack house,” Embry softly speaks in a concerned tone before kissing my temple and moving to kiss Jonathan who nods. It is clear my mates are worried about me, but I can also feel their tumultuous feelings through the bond, clear as day. They were terrified of the explosion and what it nearly cost us.
“We can get the twins taken care of, then shower,” Jonathan suggests, following Osric who reaches out and places his hand on Jonathan’s back trying to soothe his nerves. I give him a sad smile then nod, hating how upset my mates are.
“That sounds like a good plan, I might need help cleaning up my hands,” I admit, letting go of Jonathan’s neck to inspect the splinters still stuck in my hands.
“We’ll take care of you, there should be some good tweezers in the bathroom to remove the ones that don’t push out. I can’t believe you walked straight into that fire; you scared the hell out of us,” Osric sighs while glancing over at me, I whimper when I look up into his worried gaze hating feeling his worry, and guilt.
“I know you’ll always take care of me. I’m sorry I scared you so much, I had to find them. I knew being a goddess I wouldn’t burn, or at least I hoped I wouldn’t. I wasn’t really thinking of anything other than getting to Roan and Gunnar,” I confess then take a deep breath of Jonathan’s scent, letting the tingles dance across my skin, and his scent relax me.
“Addy told us to trust you, she knew your instincts were pushing you, and we couldn’t stop you. It took everything in me to keep myself from running into that fire after our pups,” Osric confesses as he tries looking away avoiding eye contact. I cautiously reach out, pulling his gaze to mine giving him a sad smile, knowing he would do whatever it took to protect us.
“Ruby knew Phoenix couldn’t hold the fire back forever, I still can’t believe she saved them,” I stare out into the forest, feeling a bit dazed as I try to process the turn of this evening’s events.
Jonathan carries me as the three of us talk on our way to Blood Moon’s pack house, that is already prepared for our arrival.
Liliana and her mates, Benjamin and his family, Kitty and Nikki, and the rest of our family fill all the guest rooms.
I take the twins straight to our bed and protectively curl up around them, tending to their needs, changing and nursing them.
Once the twins are asleep in the middle of the bed, Embry sits me on the bathroom counter and begins to remove all the splinters stuck in my hands.
“Raven… Raven did you hear me?” Osric questions while pulling my chin up, pulling me out of the trance I was in from staring vacantly at the black tile floor.
“Huh?” I look up at him feeling confused, since I got lost in my head. He looks down at me with his eyebrow raised, and concern in his eyes before brushing his thumb across my jaw soothing both of us.
“I’m going to undress you so we can rinse off before meeting with everyone in my office. Eya is going to keep an eye on Phoenix, Gunnar, and Roan while they sleep in here,” Osric explains, I notice his hands shake when he grabs me by my hips and pulls me to my feet before unlacing my tailcoat.
“Hey I’m ok, our pups are ok. I know it’s hard,” I turn looking into his sad gaze and he nods. “I know, I just can’t stand the thought of losing you or our pups, it would kill me.” He presses his forehead to mine and takes a deep breath, steadying himself before beginning to undress me again.
“It’s a good idea to keep Phoenix close to Gunnar right now, I’m sure she’s probably overwhelmed by what happened. I remember being so afraid after what I did to Benji, and worried everyone would be terrified of me, and not wanting me around,” I admit then hold my arms out, letting Osric slowly peel the layers off me. With each layer he removes, I feel like I can breathe, and I can relax with each bit of contact Osric makes, sending calming tingles and warmth through me.
“It’s good to keep them close, she needs to feel the comfort of having him nearby. We’ll make sure she knows no one is afraid of her, and that we love her,” Osric’s voice is hoarse as he agrees while looking over to see Jonathan starting the shower, as Embry begins to undress.
“I…” “Don’t think about it Bunny, I know you’re feeling lost and overwhelmed about everything. Let your mind rest for now and let us wash you,” Osric stops me from letting my thoughts run wild, and I nod knowing he is right.“Thank you, I love you,” I softly speak while wrapping my arms around his broad muscular shoulders after he pulls my chemise off, leaving me naked in front of him. I take in a deep breath, closing my eyes letting his warmth seep into my body as I let my body instinctively mold around his hard muscles.“I love you too, we’re going to be ok,” Osric whispers against my neck, he presses his lips to my shoulder while soothing me with the trail of tingles his hand leaves behind, as he rubs my back.“And I love both of you too,” I softly speak after stepping out of Osric’s warm embrace. I step into the hot shower where Jonathan and Embry are standing back-to-back, bracing themselves against the shower walls letting the water flow over them beneath the flow from two showe
My allies, friends, family, and I, sit around a meeting table as we wait for Mum to lay Phoenix down.“Osric, help Mum,” Embry raises an eye brow and scolds our mate, making me giggle watching Mum come into the office carrying a tray of tea.“Did she go down easy?” Ares questions, getting up he is quick to help Mum pass out the tea, she smiles at him and nods.“Right away, Phoenix adores that boy, she curled up around Gunnar and Roan and passed right out, she’s exhausted,” Mum answers while patting Benjamin’s back, as she passes behind him.“She should be, the amount of energy she must have exhausted was incredible,” Benjamin chuckles, then shakes his head, and stares down at the table in disbelief. We look up, when tension begins to grow, as Thane and Michelle enter the room to stand guard behind Ryder and Liliana.“She used an enormous amount of energy, I haven’t seen a witch with magic like hers in centuries,” Mum admits, with a slight bit of worry coming though in her voice. She s
“Back to the matter at hand, Mummo or Mum, do Phoenix’s abilities pose any threat to us?” I ask, shifting over to Embry’s warm lap and pull his arms around me, needing to feel his body against mine. Relaxing into his arms I am reminded of the comfort he gave me after my mother’s death.“She’s a very powerful threat to her enemies, but she’ll ever be a threat to us so long as no one betrays Raven, or Gunnar. Her bond to him is very strong, and she knows these packs are her family, she’ll do anything to protect that,” Mummo answers, after taking a sip of her tea, and I nod in understanding. It makes sense Gunnar would be Phoenix’s biggest trigger since she knows he’s her mate, her instinct to protect him is very strong.“What if she loses control?” Ares asks nervously, he holds Benjamin’s hand between his and rests his chin on their clasped hands with his elbows resting on the table.“Her magic is different to a Lycan Alpha, she won’t lose control in the same way. Yes, she can get overw
“Everything ok?” Freya’s voice is laced with concern and I nod with a slight shrug knowing things aren’t ok, but they will be eventually. “She’s afraid of hurting them and being rejected and having to go back to being a rogue,” I answer while sitting in Jonathan’s lap.“She’s had a rough life, hasn’t she?” Freya whimpers a little before taking a deep breath, as Liliana holds her hand hoping to calm her mate.“She has, but she’ll be ok. Ares and Benjamin are exactly what she needs,” I reassure with a slight smile, I’m glad to see the concern she has for her niece.“She seems to fit in perfectly with them. I can’t imagine having that kind of power, let alone being afraid of it,” Freya looks over at Liliana who has a grim expression as she nods to me knowing that’s how most of my upbringing has been.“Phoenix has had it hard, but it will get easier than I had it in some ways because she has people who know about her abilities and can help her learn. I always grew up scared because no one
Osric’s POV “Did you sleep?” Embry sits up against the headboard and yawns as I glance out the window to see the sun beginning to rise. “No,” I shake my head and take a deep breath as I watch Raven sleep protectively curled up around Gunnar and Roan, who are sleeping on my chest. I have spent the entire night stuck in my head watching them, afraid to close my eyes thinking I will wake up to find out they’re gone and this is just a dream. “You need to sleep,” Embry stretches making me smirk seeing the thick muscles on his arms flex, he runs his fingers through his brilliant red hair brushing it out of his face and blushes noticing my gaze. “I know, I just couldn’t stop watching them… we almost lost everything,” I do my best to remain calm despite how angry I really feel that my family is in danger again. What kills me the most about the whole situation with Dagon being alive, somehow, after I killed him. Somehow, this motherfucker came back to not only haunt me, but he is now hell
“I’m sorry you felt it, I can’t imagine how helpless you must have felt not being able to stop it, or be there. I’m guessing that’s why you came to Wolf Creek right away, to check on me?” Raven whispers, as her body shudders before she releases a soft sob, making me nod.“Thankfully Angel was there to help the warriors restrain me, to keep them from getting hurt worse, I nearly killed one of them. Yeah, I started traveling to Wolf Creek once I heard you crossed the boarders,” I admit while pressing my lips to her forehead, hoping hearing all of this doesn’t cause her to have flashbacks or nightmares.“I love you Sieluni, I’m so lucky to have you, Embry, Jonathan, and our pups,” Raven whimpers before nuzzling her face into the crook of my neck.“I love you too Bunny.” I brush my nose through her hair, and take in her sweet scent of roses and vanilla, her scent quickly eases the tension in my muscles.“We’ll figure it all out as things happen. I’m just so thankful you and our pups are o
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Embry questions, when he finds Raven crying I my arms, I shake my head feeling terrible she feels sad.“Talking about how to prepare, she doesn’t want to fail us again,” I quietly growl, hating that’s how Raven feels, knowing damn well she hasn’t failed us. Embry’s eyes widen as he shakes his head, I can see how broken up he feels feeling his pain and guilt through our bond.“Raven, you’ve never failed us,” Embry comforts, he moves from his seat in front of us, as Jonathan sits beside him looking equally upset.“How have I not? I lost our pup,” Raven looks up with the most heartbroken expression, through the bond it feels like being stabbed in the chest with a silver knife coated in wolfsbane.“Rave, you didn’t fail us, or our pup. What happened to you was never your fault,” Jonathan states firmly, reaching out and grabbing Raven’s hand trying to comfort her as she finishes nursing our twins whilst fighting her feelings.“Someone poisoned you with the intention of
Maturity Warning: Sex, BL, MMMF, Bondage“And what do you want us to do Bunny?” I groan, watching Raven moving her hips back against my cock.“I want you to put a pup in me,” Raven softly speaks, grabbing my hand she pulls it higher over her breast biting her lip while I squeeze and gently knead her tender breast. My breath hitches when the scent of her arousal fills the room. My erection strains against my pants as my grip on her breast tightens.“Whatever you desire Rakas,” Jonathan playfully growls, crawling up over her, kissing her stomach over the top of my hand and up to her breast.“Is this what you really want?” I cautiously ask, brushing my thumb across her bottom lip, grabbing her throat so she is looking up into my eyes. I want to give Raven everything, but I need to be sure that she doesn’t feel she has to give us more pups before she’s ready.“Yes, I want more pups, my mates, and everything you can give me,” she begs, reaching up and pulling my hair until her lips crash a
Raven's POV 17 years later "Rhys, Draig, it is great to see you, I'm glad you came when I sent word," I greet Rhys and his father at our front gate. "I came as soon as I got word of what happened to Roan, how the hell did something like this happen under your nose?" Rhys demands in a deep threatening tone. "Rhys," Draig hisses at his son's lack of respect. "No, it's quite alright Draig, he is her mate and I would rather see him protective of my daughter than not care at all. My mates and I wondered the same thing; Jonathan tore apart the young man's mind, then killed him after finding he raped her to shame her for being a better warrior. He was hoping to break her, thinking she was a threat to his position among the guard. He got Roan alone when she was expected to be out riding," I explain while leading our way through the stone corridors towards our chambers where Roans quarters are. "Who was meant to be with her?" Rhys growls when we reach the stairs that lead to our chambers. "
Osric's POV Once Raven is face to face with Dagon, I slam my sword into the ground creating a barrier around them keeping everyone out, and more importantly, them in. "No, you have no choice but to face your past," Bane forces his way forward and speaks through me. It has been a very long time we have waited to watch Dagon face his proper punishment. "Once Dagon is gone, there will be no more fighting, if you wish to continue to threaten our world be prepared to live in a dark cell for the rest of your short life before you are executed! This war has been going on for far too long, and it ends now!" Liliana calls out above everyone, who slowly stops fighting to watch Raven and Dagon, to see how this battle will truly end. "Lower your weapons if you wish to survive past this battle! Now!" Ryder orders, stepping up behind his mate. "Lace your hands together behind your heads and kneel for my people to take you in," Ingvar adds, before motioning for his soldiers to cuff those who surre
Raven's POV "Ready?" Osric asks, once he has tightened the last buckle on my new, black dragon scaled, armor that Draig brought me as a gift. "I think so, this armor is incredibly light and flexible," I mention while twisting and turning to test how comfortable I am in it. "Good, it's been spelled to move with your body, to shrink and stretch with your shift. Lycan form, wolf form or human, you will stay in your armor it'll adjust to your body; Draig recruited mine and Phoenix's help," Osric confesses, I turn to face him and wrap my arms around his uncovered torso that shows of his beautiful tribal tattoos. "You are incredible," I whisper before standing on my tip toes and kissing him. "Is everyone ready?" I watch Embry walk in as he adjusts his kilt while tucking in his white tunic. "Yes, Eya and Bjorn have the little ones in the safe room, where Thane, and an entire company of guards will be stationed to protect them," Jonathan answers, adjusting his cuff links when he appears beh
Ryder's POV The vampires were easy to convince to host the summit, once they realized Liliana and I were fair to their people. They quickly learned that we wanted to lead them with respect and kindness and in return gave us the same respect. Yeah, there were a few rebellious types but we dealt with them when the time came. Ulric and Gregor agreed to share the position as my second in command and have helped me navigate being king. Without them I would have floundered finding my footing, but once I earned the respect of the kingdom things came naturally. Learning that Freya didn't plan to rule with the same iron fist and fear as her father helped, it gave voices back to those who had kept silent for centuries. Shortly after getting our kingdom in order, I recruited Ares and Phoenix's help to find the hybrids and their leaders. We found small pockets of hybrids among packs, covens, in rogue communities and among humans. They were afraid when found but eventually came around, thanks to
Maturity Warning: Sex, BLBenjamin's POVHelping King Osric has been an honor, and for the most part, easy. The lycans and werewolves are happy to follow their kings' and queen's position on fighting Dagon. King Silas, king of the rogues, was the hardest to find and convince out of all the wolves. I don't blame him either, he's watching over many of our people who have been born outside packs, and aren’t welcome because of prejudice. In all honesty, the witches have been the hardest to convince, even with Helena and Phoenix helping smooth the way. It was only when Osric joined us, revealing Odin, that the leaders of the covens began to trust us. Phoenix enjoyed being around the witches and made friends with everyone she met.Nine months later; July 15th, the day before the summit."Daddy, wake up!" I hear yelled as I roll over in bed, hearing Ares still snoring beside me. "Papa! Make Daddy get up, we need to go to breakfast, the witches are coming!" Phoenix climbs onto our bed and beg
Ingvar's POVNine months I was given to gather the support of the human realm and that is the time it took to convince my government that the lycans, werewolves, vampires, dragons, witches and hybrids were real, and not a threat. In the beginning, my leaders thought it was a joke. I was bounced around from superior to superior to plead my case, it took me bringing in King Draig, Alpha Benjamin, his pup Phoenix and Lord Gregor to meet the Finnish Prime Minister and President with me, for them to finally believe the reality of our situation.Once I was able to properly plead my case, not only did I get the full support of my nation, but all surrounding nations who were aware of Dagon’s broadcast. During their own investigations of the supernatural species, they discovered many were peaceful and few were aggressive. Other nations were already aware of supernatural species and live in peace with them. They were thrilled to help garner permanent peace and end the threat many of them were w
Draig's POV Trying to gather the clans together to fight Dagon, has been a monumental task to say the least. The dragons aren't afraid of him, but they should be, they didn't see the magic his followers wielded or the control he has over them. Honestly, I'm not sure I would have believed it if I hadn’t seen it firsthand, I still can't believe the smug look on his face when he faced Osric. It didn't matter how I explained the danger to each clan, they still had a hard time believing me. It wasn't until I captured one of his sycophants, with the help of Alpha Benjamin and Ingvar, that they finally believed the power Dagon possessed and took the treat seriously. Even with proof, my people were still reluctant to participate in the summit, they thought we should stick to our own but eventually gave in, sending people form each clan to the summit with a reserve of warriors. The plan Ingvar suggested to Kings Osric, Embry, Jonathan and Ryder was for the dragons to be on the outside, trap
Liliana's POVWalking out onto the landing at the top of the stairs that lead to the courtyard, with Anarchy nestled in my arms, I can hear cheering. Peering out I see warriors surrounding the center mat where I see Ryder duck under a woman's foot when she tries striking him with a round house kick."Look, Daddy's showing his warriors what kind of man he is," I speak proudly. Pulling Anarchy higher up, I face her towards the training grounds and let her back and head rest against my chest and shoulder. "And he is doing well." Freya walks up behind me with Aiden in her arms as Alana stands behind on her other side."Watch how they both move, she's very well trained," I comment, pointing out how graceful both Ryder and this woman’s moves are; it's like watching a dance. "Rayna has been trained by Gregor since she was a girl, she's the only woman here who is properly trained, she can beat any man here except Gregor, Ulric and Christian," Alana explains, as I continue to watch Ryder shift
Ryder's POV "Gregor, I had planned to talk to you later but now seems like a perfect time. I plan to overhaul the training program, I want to open training to women, children and everyone without a title, everyone will train. I also wish to break down daily training, mornings will be for children as the first part of the school day, afternoons will be introductory training for women and those who have had no access to training, evenings will be for intermediate adults, and there will be a second group in the evenings for elite skilled warriors who will now be called Deltas," I explain, Gregor and the trainers who have gathered all nod as they take in the changes. "I will not have anyone in this castle defenseless nor will things be separated by status. Eventually we will be integrating hybrids into the kingdom and we will fight to defend them." I earn disgruntled chatter among some of the warriors at my mention of hybrids. This time I let Christian stand to face me when he speaks ou
