26. Changes

Osric’s POV

‘Bane what happened?!’ I demand, gazing down at my mate who is limp and bleeding.

I stare up at Bane, hoping he has answers like he always had when guiding me through my abilities, and the abuse I’ve suffered. Like Ruby, Bane showed up for me when I needed him most, when I was copping my father’s rage trying to protect my mother and brother.

‘I don’t know, this shouldn’t be happening, she’s the Goddess of Death and one of the Twin of Creation. The supernatural realm hasn’t seen the Twin Goddesses since their great grandmother and her twin,’ Bane paces around us while running his fingers through is black hair, pulling it out of his face.

‘Bane, you’re supposed to know this shit! You’re supposed to know how to protect her if I can’t!’ I snap at him, when I feel Jonathan’s hand on my shoulder pulling my attention away from Bane. I look up at him. feeling guilty and angry that I didn’t know how to protect our mate from this, and I can’t help her.
