5. Not Yet

“Raven? Are you ok?” Liliana questions, after knocking and opening the door making me smile at my sister.

“Define ok?” I look up at her, making her roll her eyes at me.

“Come on, you know what I mean. I can feel something is wrong,” Liliana leans against the doorway and watches me in concern.

“I don’t know.” I shrug my shoulders feeling a bit uneasy.

“I’m serious Raven, are you ok?” Liliana asks me again, as I watch her place her hand over her belly then blush.

“I just don’t feel like being surrounded by people right now. Not after finding out about Mum’s family.  And I know everyone wants to know how I controlled the vampires, but I have no clue how I did it, let alone how I knew they were there before seeing them. I could smell Jonathan, and I recognized Orin’s scent.” I admit to her, while pulling Osric’s pillow close, letting his scent comfort me. Liliana walks over and sits on the bed  by my feet.

“We’re not our blood, you and I learned that from Daddy and our grandparents. You’re so strong just like Vaari, you have his morals and desire to protect. Just like I get my desire and ability to help and heal people inside and out from Mummo. We learned from them, not mum and her family. Besides no one should bother you about your abilities, Helena explained what happened and how each Lycan’s abilities are different,” Liliana pauses for a moment watching me.

“How did you manage to take Jonathan?” Liliana asks, rubbing my side relaxing me.

“I didn’t give Orin a choice, either run and leave him or die, I couldn’t let Jonathan get away with how much he hurt you.” I admit, looking up at my sister staring into her light blue eyes, wondering how she is so strong.

“What do you plan on doing with Jonathan?” Liliana looks over her shoulder as Embry walks into the room looking for me.

“I’m not sure, I was going to leave it up to you.” I shrug my shoulders as I want to tear him to pieces. But at the same time, I want to give Liliana the choice and closure she deserves.

“Use him, make him spy to protect his son, I do need to talk to you about Jonathan when we’re home.” Liliana speaks plainly, like she has been thinking about this a lot, Embry looks at her in with a raised eyebrow.

“That’s not a bad idea, he could be useful. He might do it for you, I’ll see him when I get home. I want him in a cell under Angels watch since he can resist Jonathan’s compulsion.” I agree, watching Embry pull his shirt off before crawling into bed behind me.

“How do you know?” Liliana questions, shaking her head at Embry’s arms snaking around me with his hand resting over our pups.

“His aura, I can tell he’s a warden like Embry and Daddy, making him immune. He should be able to resist an alpha command as well.” I answer her, shrugging. I can see things I didn’t notice before, things others can’t see or don’t notice.

“Little Luna, Ryder is waiting downstairs. Everyone’s ready to leave,” Osric smiles at Lilliana, walking into the room making her blush, and shake her head.

“I’m not little, nor a Luna. I love you Raven, I’m just a car ride away if you need me.” Liliana laughs to herself, shaking her head at Osric then hugs me goodbye.

“I love you too Lily, I’ll link you if I need anything. I should be home soon, I just need rest and time with my mates.” I reassure her, kissing Liliana’s cheek making her nod with a sweet smile.

“Then rest and enjoy being pampered,” Liliana giggles, getting up and nudging Osric as he stands next to her.

“Not yet, but you’ll always be little to me.” Osric teases Liliana, nudging her back playfully making me smile glad to see them getting along.

“Ryder’s not an Alpha.” Liliana cackles, pushing Osric onto the bed then makes a run for it laughing harder.

“Not yet?” I ask, cradling Osric’s head that is near my chest.

“Not yet, I can see he has potential like Gideon, I have no doubt he’ll be an Alpha someday. I’m sure you can see the same, and being a hybrid will only make him better.” Osric answers, resting his face against my palm making me blush.

“I noticed he was different the day I met him, and I’m not just talking about him being a hybrid. He has a very strong heart and will be a strong leader someday.” I admit, pulling at my dress, feeling warm from the fire in the room.

“You’ve always seen people for who and what they are. You always knew something was off with Rebecca, and you can see the potential that Ryder has. Heck, you knew Liliana would be strong when the rest of us underestimated her.” Embry mentions, holding the bottom of my belly where one of the twins kick repeatedly.

“I didn’t see Jonathan for what he was.” I correct him, looking down feeling bad for not being able to see what he was doing to my sister.

“You were manipulated into forgetting a lot, trust me you do see more than you realize.” Osric comforts me, with his hand resting over Embry’s as a blush spread across my cheeks.

“I hope you’re right; I know I see a lot of potential in Ryder. He’s strong and loyal.” I take a deep breath and let their scents relax me as I begin to feel uncomfortable and overheated.

“He’s strong even for a hybrid, then again, he would have to be for him to be mated to Liliana, considering she’s powerful like you. That purple light she used to help Siggi heal her mate bond, letting her find a second chance mate, apparently, she did the same with Nikki when he rejected Laura, I asked Mum about it.” Embry adds, looking down at me incredulously as I pull my dress off as it becomes uncomfortable.
