45. Elder Council

“Come, we don’t want to be late and Gideon is waiting for us,” Osric pulls me away from Eya, Kitty, and Liliana who begin to talk as they sit with the kids.

“Don’t worry about the Elders, their opinion doesn’t matter. My word is final and I won’t let them hurt or chase you out,” his deep voice soothes most of my worries.

We walk around to the front of the house headed towards the Pack Center.

“I know you’ll protect me, just try to let me handle it myself first. I need to prove myself as your mate and their Luna, it's the only way I’ll gain their respect,” I yawn, lacing my fingers with his as we continue to walk, with my father close behind us.

“You’ll do great, do your best to ignore Sasha, I know she’ll try to start drama about Eya no longer being next in line,” Osric warns, looking down at me and I smile gently.

“I have a feeling Mum will take care of her. As long as no one starts anything about Embry being gone, I should be ok,” I reassure, knowing Helena and I both really enjoy e
