A very long day
Jerika went to see Daulat. He was lying on couch with his eyes closed. Jerika sat on an adjacent seat. Brian was nowhere to see. He might have retired for the night. Jerika was tired too. She needed sleep but difficulty was she could not. She could not forget about the response from Brian she got few minutes earlier. She did not get it. She needed to get it out of her system. She needed to talk about what happened so that she could make out something from it. She was hoping she could speak to Daulat about it but he was resting.
“You are thinking a lot” Daulat said making Jerika jump out of her thoughts.
“You are not sleeping!” Jerika said in amazement.
“Are you?” Daulat said.
“I thought you were asleep” Jerika whispered.
“Why are you here then?” Daulat said.
“You should not sleep here. Go, sleep in the guest room” Jerika said.
“Then where will you make Brian sleep?” Daulat asked looking at the roof.

***** FEW HOURS BACK ***** Daulat was making few phone calls whereas Jerika was getting ready to leave for Zion as per the plan. Jerika was worried but she could hardly do anything about all that. It took nearly one hour to reach the city and further half an hour to the office. Jerika was getting late. Daulat did not bring his car and it was still parked in the hospital as he along with Jerika and the insolent, demagogue Brian. Daulat decided to take Jerika’s car whereas Jerika decided to take taxi. Jerika left first. After Jerika left, Daulat was ready to leave after half an hour Jerika left. He grabbed car keys and walked to the garage so that he can leave in the car at that instant. As he was ready to drive away, he noticed something weird.
