The students were intensely bombarded with classes upon classes; assignments upon assignments, to the point that football activities ceased to only Sundays and Saturdays. The convent games started on Monday, with all the schools arriving on Sunday. Each school was given a hostel, some hostels were on the host school premises while some schools were taken to the church Conference hostels. A total of 21 schools were present. The football along with other games was going on simultaneously. The Annunciation convent topped the medal table with 15 gold medals and 5 silver in addition to the 6 bronze they won on the first day. On the Wednesday evening of the week, the semi-final matches were played, in the first semi-final game, the Annunciation convent won the St Anthony memorial girls while in the second semi-final game, the Morning Stars convent defeated the All saints convent too. Around 6 pm that Wednesday, all outdoor games were stopped for the indoor games. The boys after the morning prayers were already washing up. The junior boys and the senior boys were involved in all manner of clean-ups. The functionaries were fully involved knowing fully it was one of their last assignments. However, Shola and his men were already on the move to go for the visiting day of the convent girls. They were also involved in the cleaning up and it was Shola who took the junior students to the principal's house for proper cleaning of the house and environment. The young receptionist was rushed to the police hospital very close to her building. She was on the treatment bed when the police began another round of investigation and it was noticed that the cameras close to the direction from which the bullet came were broken. After two days of futile efforts, it was reported back to the lady if any possible solution can come to get close to this devilish act. The lady who was in pain directed them to a hidden camera on the roof and advised them to drop the case if the camera on the roof didn't capture the scene. It's already a new week, the seminary games are already on with the general welcome ceremony. The seminary schools landed at the venue on Saturday. The hostels, the pitches, and the outdoor games and indoor games venues were ready of course before the arrival of the boys. The opening ceremony witnessed the recitation and singing of all the anthems of each school represented at the games. Each team captain will raise the flag of his school while their anthem goes on. The sports masters also submitted a 50-man list of the squad he entered the games with and all the boys were re-weighed with the few who were slightly above the required kilograms for the junior boys sent to the senior team.Daniel also went to the games after his request to be dropped didn't work out. “Daniel, you dare not expect us to lose both you and your brother for such a critical game, I do in detail understand what you meant by emotional weakness, but I can't drop you”. Daniel along with the new functionaries began the work excellently. The school was quite enjoyable and the junior boys were at peace with the new set of functionaries. Daniel's classmates were more focused than Shola. Academically too, the boys are much better. Daniel within days of assuming the office has become the favorite of the students. The junior boys are free with him and can open up issues to him. Those that are suffering academically, he puts them through and offers them much help. He also gives food to those that don't have it and ensures no one cheats on the place of food. The principal immediately saw himself loving the functionaries. He even does have time with them more than he did with the former.
