Tonight I am having dinner with my family. Dad told me in advance that George and his family was invited. That only meant Henley and her boyfriend were going to attend. I expect everyone except Aaron and I to have someone on their hand. That is why I decided to invite Della to be my date for tonight. She was skeptical at first but agreed when I convinced her. I assured Della that her by my side was to make Henley feel jealous. She warmed up to the idea eventually which explains why I am outside her door at seven. She opens the door after my knock. I smile when I realise how incredibly beautiful she looks tonight. Purple dress that accentuates her figure. She has me staring for a minute before I embrace her. I haven't seen her in two days but it feels like so many days. Her hair is curled for tonight making her look more flawless. "Are those mine?" she asks looking at the flowers in my hand. I had forgotten for a second I had them."Yep. Do you like them?" I give them to her."I love
When I returned home last night, I couldn't find sleep. When we said farewell to everyone and I drove Della home, she didn't talk to me the whole journey. When I tried to apologize, she told me she was tired and we would talk next time. She must be pissed for the way I talked to her. I am to blame. I let my emotions get into my head. When my intercom buzzes, I answer immediately."Mr. Armstrong. Ms Henley is here to see you." Kristy, my secretary announces."I don't want to see her." I mutter immediately. "Ms..stop. He says he doesn't want to see you. She is coming." Kristy informs.I sigh when I hang up. Immediately my door opens to reveal a scowling Henley."What was that Crescent?" she says angrily."Just the person I didn't want to see." I glare. I don't bother hiding the annoyance in my voice.Henley walks further taking a seat without my permission."What do you want Henley?" I ask impatiently."I was from lunch with your father and I passed by to say hey. I didn't expect this b
I don't know why I agreed to let Della drive my car. I can think of two reasons and they are all so lame. First, she convinced me that since she invited me to this dinner, she should be the one driving. Second is because she convinced me she is really a good driver. In bed, yes but on the road, I don't know if I might see tomorrow."I swear to God if you dent my car Della, you are so dead." I complain for the umpteenth time. She breaks up in a wider grin."Relax your tities Armstrong. It is fun." she mocks. It maybe for her but not for me. Okay maybe that is not entirely true but the way she is driving my car is driving me insane."Where did you learn to drive like freaking formula one missy?" I question."I guess I didn't tell you about my lack of career motivation when I was still in high school. I tried everything fun." she replies."Not convincing.""Alright, then this will."She steps on the gas again. At this rate, we are going to get a speeding ticket."Freaking hell Della. Remi
The whole ride to the airport has been super chill and quiet except for the soft music playing on the radio. Della has been busy reading something on her phone while texting away. She told me it was something about some patient.I on the other hand have been divulging into my head like a freaking cave man. Since the other night Della took me to dinner, I haven't been myself. That day, I realised something I hadn't taken time to notice. It is something that scares me. It sounds so pathetic but it is the truth.Could this have become more than sex and I hadn't realised?Heck no! It can't. Della sees me as her fuck buddy nothing else. At least she has made it clear everytime we speak about it were she stood with all this. For fuck sake she convinced me to embark on our agreement after her parent's visit when I wanted to end it.Perhaps I am losing my mind over something small. I know how my heart pounded that night. I know how empty I felt when she left for her house. I realised the feeli
"We have a problem." Della's eyes widen in horror when she lifts her gaze. A feeling of panic rises through me when I notice her tensed posture suddenly. She just received a phone call from Ryan and whatever he told her has her distressed."What is the matter Della?" I ask worried."A model cancelled at the last minute. Mom is freaking out." she explains panickly. Shit! Susan has organized her show to perfection. It has taken her months for everything to be in place so a model cancelling affects everything."I need to find her now." Della rushes through the crowd over to the back, me following behind. I hate when she is distracted. Her mom is sitting by a chair with Ryan and Natalie holding a glass of water when we find them."Mom." Della calls when she reaches her."Della love, what am I going to do?" Susan sighs weary."I will do it."Della announces confidently."I mean think about it. I know how these things work and for Christ sake we don't have any other option. Our hands are ti
Della and I can't stop laughing about whatever just happened back there in that room and then with her mom. The look of disgust on her face when I opened the door almost made me want to cringe in guilt."Mom,"Susan's curt look cut Della off. "Did you two have sex in there because I swear...""We didn't." I cut her quick. Susan's nose scrunched further in disgust as she assessed us."So you were about to?" she raises a brow."If you hadn't interrupted, yes." Della fought back a smile that threatened to escape from her lips."You two are disgusting. At least you should first take my dress off. I don't want it smelling like wild sex."I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "What the hell is wrong with this generation?" she muttered as she walked away."And please no sex before the party ends. I don't want my daughter ending up in a nudist column "Her comment made us up break out in giggles. After the cock block from Susan, we decided to mingle for sometime at the party before we bot
I am a second away from murdering the woman in front of me or so God help me."Are you serious right now Henley?" I glare."I know how stupid it sounds Crescent but the rumor wasn't true. The girl in the photo was a crazy fun who stalked him to his room." It sounds ridiculous hearing it again. "Jesus Henley! Can't you see the kind of person he is. He doesn't deserve you." I spit. She frowns."And you do?" Henley raises a brow at me."Sorry but maybe I do." I roar."You are ridiculous Crescent. Brad is innocent and I am not going to pin your insecurities on him." she retorts. I could punch a hole in a wall right this instant. Three fucking days I have spent with Henley and no phone calls from the bastard. He does one small thing as a public pity apology and she is ready to take him back. It angers me even thinking about it "I hate to say this Henley but he doesn't deserve you and when he hurts you again, don't say I didn't tell you." I mutter calmy."Thanks Crescenf for letting me
Della is in love with me.I still get goosebumps when I think about it. How long had she been harboring it inside? When did she realise this was more than just sex to her? Thinking about the whole thing just drives me insane. I didn't know I craved to hear those words coming out of her until she said them. Now they are like an engraving on my mind. I can't stop fawning over the fact that she said that."Crescent." Mom's sharp tone cuts through my ears. Shit!"Are you okay?" she asks lowly. I nod. It is a lie. I think she knows it but doesn't push it. I am far from okay in my head. It is honest to say I am mentally fucked up.Like I haven't had enough for the last few days, Aaron decides to open his mouth. "Speaking of which, where is your girlfriend tonight?" Aaron smirks.I could punch that smirk off his face if I was in the right state of mind."Della, where is she? Don't tell me you didn't invite her?" Dad mutters. It takes so much will power to form a believable answer."She coul
"I think you have a visitor."I feel all the hope banish inside me. She has moved on. I am too late. That is all I can think of as I stare dumbfounded at the green eyed stranger."Who is..."Della stops mid sentence as soon as she notices me. She doesn't seem surprised or angry to see me. Her face masks with a hard nonchalant stare as she takes in my presence on her doorstep."I am sorry if...""You were leaving Henry, weren't you?" Della interrupts in a clipped tone. Green eyes frowns before he splutters. I guess he has a name and it is Henry. "Yes. I mean if...""Just go." she mouthes. Green eyes' or rather Henry's frown deepens but he excuses himself nonetheless."Call me if you change your mind." he winks. "I will."I can't believe she is considering his offer. Ain't no way I am leaving her doorstep without changing her mind. I am not letting another man touch my Della. My Della. When Henry is out of sight, I turn back to find Della's glare."Don't tell me you fucked him Della.
