Albern stepped outside, but a nurse called him.

"Sir, wait!" the nurse called him.

Albern immediately stopped in his tracks and looked at the nurse who called him.

"What is it?!" Albern asked curtly and coldly.

"Sorry, Sir. You were called by the doctor who is treating your wife," said the nurse.

The nun thought that Albern was Harnum's husband. Albern frowned at the nurse's words.

"That woman is not my—" Albern was cut off.

"Sorry, Sir. Please go to the doctor immediately because this is an emergency," said the nurse, interrupting Albern's words.

Albern did not continue his words. He followed the nurse from behind. They went straight into the emergency room.

"Doc, this is the patient's husband," said the nurse.

"Okay, thank you," said the doctor.

"What is it?!" Albern asked curtly.

"Sorry, Sir. Your wife's condition is very critical. The patient has lost a lot of blood, and the condition of the fetus in her womb is very critical," said the doctor.

"So?" Albert asking.

"Your wife must be operated on immediately to save her life and the life of her baby."

"I don't care. She will die with the baby in her womb, that's none of my business! So, it's up to you what you do with her!"

The doctor was very shocked to hear Albern's words. He felt surprised and strange, why a husband would have the heart to say such things to his wife and child who were critical and dying. That was what was in the doctor's mind because he thought that Albern was Harnum's husband.

After saying that, Albern walked away. He immediately left the emergency room.

'I should have just killed that damn woman. He's just giving me trouble, huh! But... if I kill her then I won't be able to torture her. Aahh... if it's like this, that means that damn woman has to stay alive,' thought Albern.

Albern suddenly turned around. He returned to the emergency room.

"Doc, do what's best for her!" Albern said firmly.

The doctor named Rehan was surprised to hear Albern's words, who suddenly changed his mind. However, he felt happy, at least that cruel husband still had a conscience. That's what was in the doctor's mind.

"Yes, Sir. We will immediately perform a caesarean section. Because that is the only way," said the doctor.

"Hmm...." Albern just cleared his throat.

Doctor Rehan immediately prepared the equipment to perform a caesarean section. Albern was asked to sign a letter agreeing to the caesarean section because he was considered Harnum's husband.

Albern immediately added his signature. After that, he immediately left the room, while Doctor Rehan and his team immediately prepared equipment for a caesarean section.

Harnum's body was immediately taken to the operating room because her condition and her womb were very critical. So the medical team accelerated the operation process while Albern stood watching Harnum leave who was taken to the operating room. Without realizing it, his feet followed the medical team.

"Sir, please come in to accompany your wife's operation," said Doctor Rehan.

Albern didn't answer, but he followed Doctor Rehan. He watched everything the male doctors did. He frowned when he saw that the doctors who would perform the caesarean section were all male doctors.

"Wait...!" Albern shouted.

"Yes, Sir, what's wrong?" asked Doctor Rehan.

"Why are all the doctors who will perform this operation male doctors?" Albern asked.

Doctor Rehan and the other doctors looked at each other. Them were surprised because this was the first time they had been protested by the patient's family.

"Yes, Sir. Because we are all doctors of choice for performing caesarean sections. Moreover, this is an emergency. So, we don't have much time left," Doctor Rehan explained.

"No! I don't allow male doctors to perform operations on women. I allow only female doctors to handle her! Your brains are perverted, wanting to examine female patients because you can freely look at their vital organs, isn't that right?!" Albern said sarcastically.

Albern's words of course really shocked the doctors. Because this is the first time they have been accused like that by someone else.

"Sorry, Sir, but our medical team or doctors don't think like that. Because we have an oath. We don't want to look for opportunities in adversity. We carry out our duties according to procedures. We—" said Doctor Rehan, but his words were directly cut by Albern.

"Enough! I don't want to hear self-defense from you or any of you. I'll just let a female doctor handle it. If not, it's better not to have surgery!" Albern said firmly.

Doctor Rehan and the other doctors were again shocked by Albern's words. Finally, them relented for the safety of Harnum and her baby.

Doctor Rehan immediately contacted female doctors to replace his duties and those of other male doctors. After that, the male doctors left and were replaced by female doctors.

The female doctors immediately rushed to perform a caesarean section on Harnum, while Albern just stood next to Harnum's head with his arms crossed.

Occasionally his eyes paid attention to Harnum's face, and occasionally he also noticed the doctors who were busy carrying out surgery on Harnum's stomach.

Not long after, the caesarean section was completed. A female nurse who was holding the tiny baby immediately approached Doctor Helda, the doctor who was in full charge of the operation process.

"Doc, the baby—" said the nurse.

Doctor Helda immediately looked at the tiny and very beautiful baby girl. Doctor Helda's eyes filled with tears looking at the baby.

"Sir, your baby died. Your baby experienced stillbirth, which is the death of a fetus in the womb whose gestational age is more than 37 weeks, and this happened to your baby. Because your wife experienced heavy bleeding, and your wife experienced long contractions, but no immediate medical action was taken."

Doctor Helda took a deep breath for a moment, then continued her words.

"So heavy bleeding that occurs in the final trimester results in the fetus dying in the womb. This all happens because the placenta has begun to separate or decay from the uterus before entering labor. This condition is called placental abruption," she continued explaining to Albern.

Albern was unmoved. His eyes only stared at the tiny baby who didn't move an inch. Albern's eyes suddenly condensed. He closed his eyes and took a breath that felt tight.

"Do your best with this woman and her baby. I'll leave everything to you, Doc! Later, someone on my behalf will be here to take care of everything because I'll be leaving in a while."

After saying that, Albern walked away from the operating room. Harnum, who was still unconscious, did not yet know what had happened to her baby.

'It would be good if the baby died, to replace my nephew's life,' thought Albern.
