Xander’s Pov

As I chatted with Richard, the weight of the situation settled heavy on my shoulders. We needed to hear Allegra's perspective to untangle the web of mystery surrounding those letters. Richard's concern mirrored my own, but as much as we need information, I really don't want to put Allegra in harm's way.

As he walked me outside, I couldn't help but feel a mix of determination and apprehension swirling within me.
