Xander’s Pov

Richard's eyes soften with understanding, a sense of admiration shining in his gaze. “Whatever she wants, we need to figure out how she got to miles and why she decided to go through with him.”

Richard pats me on the shoulder as he realizes the memories are making me uncomfortable. “You're stronger than you think, Xander,” he says quietly, his words a silent acknowledgment of the struggles I've faced. “And we'll make sure she doesn't get the chance to hurt anyone else.”
