Ryan’s Pov

I slowly open my eyes, squinting against the soft glow of the room. The persistent headache throbs, a constant reminder of the unsettling situation I find myself in. The room, contrary to my expectations, is warm and inviting, unlike the cold iron enclosure I remember. Plush pillows and soft blankets surround me on the king-sized bed, making me question if I've entered some strange dreamscape.

Examining the room, I notice the meticulous attention to detail. The walls were painted a soothing shade of milk, and the bed was adorned with a coffee-brown cover, creating a comforting ambiance. Whoever orchestrated this space had a particular individual in mind—me. The realization sparks confusion and a twinge of anxiety. Why would someone go to such lengths for me?

A sudden recollection jolts me back to the not-so-distant past. The attempt to escape, the clash with Emily's powers—it replays in my mind like a haunting echo. As I attempt to reach out to my mom through the mind link,

Kylie’s PovGosh, my feet are killing me; if I have to stand any longer, I'm going to fall. I can't remember the last time I wore heels. We're currently at the welcome party Arnold's mother is hosting for us, and is it boring? The only thing remotely interesting about this place is the wine. The people are so stiff and strict in relating to each other.Everyone has a standard to meet or a reputation to uphold. I miss when my father was here. He would've made sure everyone was having fun and letting loose, not at this party where everyone is judging each other by the amount of jewelry they have. There is nothing about family in this party; it's all propaganda.Speaking of parents, I spot Arnold and his mother talking tersely in a corner, and I walk gingerly to meet them. After all, I am the soon-to-be Luna of the pack, so I should be involved in whatever they're talking about, especially if it concerns the pack. I laugh to myself because I know whatever it is that is making Arnold's mo

Arnold’s PovAs I twirl around on the dance floor with Kylie in my arms, I can't help but admire her flawless beauty and the way her eyes light up when she is genuinely having fun. She's so beautiful, it makes my heart hurt just thinking about what I'd do to myself if she ever left me again. I can clearly see why Karl won't stop chasing after. She's not just beautiful on the outside; her soul is so pure, good, and kind that it's like she's an angel or something.I honestly wonder why my mother doesn't consider her a better match to be my Luna than Sarah. In a couple of days, I have felt more love to grow for her than I have ever felt for Sarah in ten years.I don't know if it's the mate bond, but I'm madly in love with her.The funniest thing is that if someone had asked me a few months ago what I'd have done to Kylie if I ever saw her again, I'd have told them that I would run a knife through her heart.Yet look at me now, dancing with her in my arms, and I have never felt better th

Surprisingly, I find myself handling the challenges more efficiently than my son ever could. Lost in my work, I'm interrupted by a knock on my door. “Come in,” I call, and to my surprise, Bob enters. He's been Arnold's closest friend and beta for years, and I welcome him with a warm hug. “Bob, you're back. Let's go see my son,” I suggest, eager to check on Arnold's progress. As we head to Arnold's house, Bob informs me that the alpha is hosting a gathering for his men. Camilla’s PovI go back to the pack house and plan to throw a proper, classy welcome party for the alpha and his team. The pack doesn't even know why their alpha left the pack so abruptly. I would love to tell them it's because he went to chase after a conquest, but we have to put up a united front or else the pack will start to lose respect for Arnold, and if that happens, the whole pack will fall apart. After planning out everything, putting everything in place, and then sending out invitationsThe night of the party arrives, and the entire hall is filled. Half of the people here aren't even concerned about the alpha; they just want to make new connections and grow their businesses.I know that, but it is only proper to have these things. Arnold's expression hardens, and he pulls his hands away from mine. “Mother, you don't understand. I can't deny the connection I have with Kylie. She's the one, and I won't let her go again.”I exhale, trying to maintain composure. “Arnold, I appreciate the strength of the mate bond, but the pack's stability is at stake. You can't disregard the consequences of your choices.”He interrupts, frustration evident in his voice. “Mother, I've made my decision. Kylie is the Luna I chose, and I won't let anyone question it.”As I bring up the importance of prioritizing the pack's well-being, Arnold's response strikes me with a conviction that seems unyielding. “Mother, Kylie is my first mate. What better way to ensure the pack's well-being than by being mated to my first and true mate? It'll make me more powerful and the pack more feared.”Attempting to appeal to reason, I grasp his hands, pleading, “What about Sarah? Who will take her in? Will you be so heartless to a woman who was there for

Camilla’s POVMy heart broke at the realization that Bernard had been having a love affair with me and another lady. I cried like I had just lost a loved one. I tried to console myself that maybe it was a mistake, that perhaps he still loved me, and that I was just trapped in this marriage due to duty. But I had no way to be sure if he was in the marriage just for duty until we were invited to his wedding. My heart broke when we got the invitation. The alpha's family had been invited to their beta's wedding, so of course I had to go, being a part of the alpha's family. I took it as a chance to get Bernard alone and talk to him. I managed to slip away from my guards, and I caught Bernard in his room before he got ready to go out and walk the island. I grabbed him and kissed him, but he pulled away. And that's when I saw it in his eyes. He was in love with the girl he had impregnated. Tears filled my eyes, and I asked him if he ever even loved me, but he couldn't answer. My heart shatt

As I'm brushing my hair, Arnold enters the room. I look at him through the mirror, and he looks troubled. I sigh, wondering what his mother must've told him now.
