A million thoughts ran through my mind as her words echoed in my head. My heart slammed against my rib cage, and it became hard to swallow as Seth's eyes bore into mine, waiting for my reaction.

I blinked back the tears threatening to pool into my eyes, I couldn't let them both see how wrecked they made me, especially Brittany. It's expected of her.

But Seth? His beautiful eyes held guilt as he looked away from me, the damage already done as I could feel my head pounding.

"You-you are going to be the lady of honour?" I asked, my voice strained as I tried but failed to keep my emotions locked.

Brittany's grin widened, her eyes showing victory. "Yes, aren't you happy for me?"
