My throat bobbed as I swallowed, my hand shaking slightly under her gaze as she pinned me with her unwavering stare, her eyes hiding all the emotions she was feeling, if she was feeling any.

She was scarier than she thought, and right now she looked every bit of an elegant queen and I was nothing but a mere Knight with a crush.

I may not be wearing an armour but why is it so damn hot in here?

"Well uh," I started, my voice wavering as it reached my ears.

Naimi rose a brow, waiting for me to complete my sentence, but a sigh left my lips and I dropped the offerings I came bearing on the couch, and moved closer to her.

Her gaze faltered as I moved closer to her. I brought out a hand and caressed her face, and to my surprise she never pulled away, but her eyes never left mine.

"I came here to apologise, but I don't know where to start. Aubrey and Hazel helped me with the presents, but here I am, making a fool of their kindness. I'm sure Aubrey wouldn't let me hear the end." I chuckle
