With a heavy sigh, Maya's father turned to face the rest of the pack. "The challenge has been won," he announced, his voice commanding and authoritative. "Maya has made her choice, and we must respect it."

There was a stunned silence in the room as the other werewolves looked at Maya, unsure of how to react.
