I had won this round but I was really getting tired of plotting and planning. I wish Magnus would find a permanent solution to all this soon. Who knows what she was going to do next?

I mentally gave myself a pat on the back. By witlessly announcing my pregnancy, she just gave me an edge without announcing it.

By pack laws, the Alpha could make the mother of his first child Luna regardless of anything else.

When I asked Mane about this law, he found it unreasonable but I knew it was the perfect thing.

“What are you planning to do with that information?“ Mane asked suspiciously.

“Nothing.“ I said cheerfully.

“I don't believe you.“

“Oh.“ I faked a pout. “Can't a girl learn about the laws of her land? Don't you trust me?“

“Alright alright.“ He relented. “I trust you.“

I could feel his burning gaze on me now. I'm sure he's pieced everything together.

I looked up at him and winked. He shook his head, barely covering his laughter.

“Good job.“ He mouthed. I simply raised my glass
