CHAPTER 2

CRYSTAL

Alpha Leo smirked at the confused expression on my face and he raised my chin up with his fingers.

"Can you not feel the bond, Crystal?" He muttered.

His voice was low and raspy, and his coffee brown eyes didn't leave my face for a second.

"I - I - I can," I stammered. "But - "

"No buts, Crystal," He hushed me.

He was so close to me already. His body brushed lightly against mine; and his lips were barely a few inches away from mine.

I swallowed hard as he inched closer and closer to me. My heart clenched tight in my chest and my wolf purred in my head. What I had been praying for my whole life was barely inches away from me, but I was scared. Would Alpha Leo, the soon to be Alpha of one of the biggest packs in the world claim me, a mere Omega as his mate?

Alpha Leo took my hand in his, and our fingers intertwined.

"Follow me, Crystal," He said with a smirk. "I have something to show you."

He didn't give me a chance to decide, because the next minute, he was already walking in the direction I had come, my hand firmly in his grip.

The experience was thrilling. Alpha Leo was proving to be a man of surprises. What was he going to do next? Was he taking me to see his mum and the rest of the Royal family? Did he want to introduce me to everyone as his mate already? But he had not claimed me yet.

Different thoughts went through my head all at once, and I found myself daydreaming once again. How was life as a Luna going to be? Was Alpha Leo going to love me, just the way I was?

My thoughts were interrupted when he stopped at a door and motioned for me to keep shut.

I looked up at the golden door and then, I gasped in shock. It was the room of his father, before he died, and as the custom of our pack demanded, it was to be sealed, never to be opened again.

"You know where this place is, Crystal?" He asked, arching a brow at me.

I nodded slowly as I gazed at the huge doors.

"Sorry but I'm not meant to be here, Alpha Leo."

I turned on my heels but he grabbed me by the waist and drew me into his warmth.

And then, he kissed me.

It was my first kiss, on my eighteenth birthday, and from arguably, the hottest guy in the pack who also doubled as my mate and the Alpha of the pack. I had no reason to shy away from it.

His lips were warm, soft, inviting, and when he pulled away from mine, a soft moan escaped my lips. Nala was already growling, threatening to tear me apart if I didn't allow the handsome Alpha standing before me claim me on that spot.

"We can't do that in the open," He said, glancing around quickly. "Someone might be watching."

Someone? Who cared if anyone wanted to watch? He was my mate and we had the freedom to do whatever we wanted as mates. Why was he concerned about someone watching?

I was about to point it out to him when the door to his father's room creaked open. He took my hand, leading me in and as soon as we were inside, he shut the door behind us, locking it as well.

Before I could breathe a word in protest, Leo was all over me. His kisses were hot, passionate, desperate, and I found myself struggling to keep up with his pace. Eventually, I gave in, allowing him take full control.

He grabbed my hair from behind to expose my neck as he attached his lips to my exposed skin just below my ear. I gasped as soon as his lips touched my neck. His left hand remained on my hair, pulling it from the ends while his right danced around my waist just under the rim of my shirt gripping my hip. His lips detached from my neck and he stared me down with his coffee brown eyes.

"Are you fine, Luna?"

Luna? My heart skipped two beats at that word. Was I really going to be his Luna? Was he going to claim me as his mate?

"Y - yes, I am," I stammered.

"Good," Leo smiled.

He slipped his right hand down my laps and his palm curved over my butt and down the back of my thigh. I squealed in surprise when he suddenly jacked me up and voluntarily, I wrapped my legs around his waist.

Leo placed me gently on the bed, and without warning, he parted my legs wide. My panties were soaked already, and he grinned when he noticed.

He tugged at the rope of my work apron and it came off easily. His hands found their way to my bra next and after a minute of struggling with the straps, he ripped it apart, frustrated.

I chuckled at the crazed expression on his face. Was that how much he wanted me? That he couldn't even wait to gently unstrap my bra?

"I'm not a patient man, Luna," He said in a low whisper, as he planted kisses down my neck.

His lips trailed down from my neck to my breasts and I found myself moaning in pleasure as his tongue circled my nipples.

The feeling of being with him was overwhelming and I had literally forgotten every thing going on in my life - my friend, Emily, the fact that it was my birthday, the cleaning of the grand hall for the ball tonight -

Fuck! The senior maids would be searching for me by now!

"Alpha Leo!" I sighed. "I have work to do."

"Work?" He mumbled, as he feasted on my breasts. "More important than being with your mate?"

"Your mother and some of the senior maids would be searching for me now," I added. "Remember, tonight is the grand ball."

"And the purpose of the grand ball is for the Alpha to find his mate," Leo replied, a smile forming across his handsome face. "And I've found that mate - "

His hand trailed down from my chest to my thighs and his fingers danced around my thighs, making me moan. Without warning, he slipped a finger through my panties and I moaned in pleasure when I felt it inside me.

"Isn't this better than cleaning the damn hall?" He hissed.

Of course it was! Who said I wanted to live the rest of my life as an Omega? All my prayers over the years had been that my mate would save me from the misery of being an Omega in the pack, and now, it was coming true, in ways better than I had ever imagined.

Leo's fingers went in and out of me, slowly and steadily, and as much as I wanted him to increase the pace, I couldn't say a word. I bit my lips hard to prevent another lust filled moan from escaping my lips and my thighs vibrated.

"Don't hold back with me, Luna," Leo warned.

I nodded at his words and parted my legs wider for him to take control. At that moment, I was lost. He had successfully unlocked a hidden passion, and now, I wanted him so desperately. I wanted his hands pulling my hair as he rammed his full length into me. His erection was obvious beneath his navy green pants, and from what I could see, it was going to be a damn long morning.

Suddenly, his phone rang on the table. Leo slipped his finger out of me almost immediately and wiped it clean on my bare body before picking up the call.

"Hello?" He grunted. "Alicia?"

My heart began pounding as I heard the name. Alicia was the queen bee in high school - the exchange student from High Valley, and also, the daughter of the Alpha of the High Valley pack.

Alicia had made life miserable for me every single day. She never failed to remind me and a few others of our lowly positions as Omegas.

I wondered how she would react when she found out that I was actually Leo's mate. She would surely begin to respect me more.

"Are you fucking serious right now?" Leo fumed. "Do you know what you made me do?"

He paced about the room for a few more seconds as he listened to her over the phone.

"Yeah," He nodded and walked up to the door.

He turned the key in the lock and the door clicked open. Alicia walked in gingerly and when she saw me lying pants down on his bed, her mouth dropped open.

She turned to Leo. "What the hell is this?"

"What you fucking caused!" He snarled. "You told me you were not coming! And then I had to get this - "

He turned his attention to me.

I was lost, confused, embarrassed, and still damn horny. He had left me half sated before the call and now, I didn't even know what was going on.

Alicia slipped her phone out of her bag and before I could realize what was happening, she took a few pictures of me on the bed.

"You could have called Charlotte if you were so damn horny," She taunted Leo.

"Your friend?" He creased his brows at her. "You'd kill me if I stared at her for too long."

"Of course I would," Alicia smiled. "But any other girl would have been fine. Not this dumb Omega here."

My heart twisted in my chest as I heard her words. I really didn't understand what was going on.

Leo rolled his eyes. "You know what's funny? That thing is my mate!"

"Your mate?" Alicia chuckled.

"Yeah," Leo nodded. "The moon goddess definitely has a crazy sense of humor."

He stared at me, the hatred in his eyes evident and then he said the words I dreaded the most in my life.

"I, Alpha Leo Fernandez of the Blood Moon Pack, rejects you, Crystal Thorne as my mate."

His words tore through my very being, leaving my wolf shattered, but there was nothing I could do.

"Now, accept the damn rejection and get lost," He growled.

I shook my head in the negative. I had heard so much about the pain that came after a rejection and I didn't want to go through that.

"Are you out of your mind?" He grabbed me by the throat and squeezed hard. "You would die like a pauper here and no one would even bother to search for your remains."

Yes, he was right. If I died there, the only person who would probably search for me was Emily, and if she even found out that Alpha Leo killed me, she would be forced to keep shut. That was how unimportant I was.

"Accept the rejection," Alicia said. "Or I'll send these disgusting nude pictures of you to every single soul in that school."

I rose to my feet at once, and covered my body with a piece of cloth on the bed.

"I accept the rejection," I muttered.

"Now get out," She ordered. "Let me cleanse my Alpha of your diseased touch."

I watched as she trailed her claws down his chest and a teardrop rolled down my cheek. Why did the moon goddess decide to toy with my emotions? It would have been far better if I never found my mate.

I dressed up quickly, and took one last glance at the both of them before leaving. His fists were tight on her bun while she sucked his cock.

Tears rolled down my eyes as I pushed the door open and made my way out of the room, but I was in for an even bigger surprise.

Luna Rachel was standing just outside the door. Her face was twisted in shock and her brown eyes were fixed on me.

"What the hell are you doing in my late husband's room?"
