Kayson's POV

I strode through the dimly lit corridors of the east wing, my heart heavy with a mix of emotions. I was about to face the one person who had betrayed me in the worst possible way, Reese.

I stopped in front of his room, my hand on the door handle. "Reese," I growled, my voice low and even.

The door creaked open, and I stepped inside. Reese looked up from his seat on the narrow bed, a sly smile spreading across his face.

"Kayson," he said, his voice dripping with false sincerity. "I'm glad you finally came to see me, thought for sec that you'd forgotten me"

I snarled, my eyes narrowing. "Don't play games with me, Reese. I know what you're playing at. Begging for forgiveness, only to start gathering people against me behind my back, just how deep does your treachery run?."

Reese's expression turned innocent. "I don't know what you're talking about, Kayson. I've been loyal to you and the pack.”

I laughed, a harsh sound. "Loyal? secretly gathering support against me, is that

Kayson's POV As I pushed open the door to April's chambers, my heart raced with anticipation and a hint of nervousness. I had been torn between anger and doubt, but now I just wanted to see April, to talk to her, to see if she was alright and understand what was going on.Her blue eyes met mine, looking tired and a bit scared, but also relieved to see me. "Kayson," she whispered, her voice barely audible.I approached her slowly, sitting down beside her on the bed. "Hey," I said softly, taking her hand in mine. "We need to talk."April nodded, her eyes never leaving mine. "I know. I'm sorry, Kayson. I didn't mean to not tell any of you."I squeezed her hand gently, feeling a pang of regret for doubting her. "I know, April, but I just...I don't understand what's going on, I need to understand. You're… were… a wolfless omega, and then suddenly you shift...it doesn't make sense."April took a deep breath, her eyes dropping to our entwined hands. "I know it sounds crazy, Kayson. But I s

Reese's POV As I gazed into Luciana's eyes, I knew I had her right where I wanted her. She was vulnerable, desperate for attention and affection, her emotional defenses were worn down and I was more than happy to give it to her, as long as it served my purposes and furthered my own agenda. I pulled her close, my lips brushing against hers in a tender, calculated kiss. She hesitated for a moment, her uncertainty palpable, but I could feel her resolve weakening, her guard dropping. She was putty in my hands, pliable and soft, and I knew exactly how to mold her, shape her to my will.As I undressed Luciana, I was struck by her beauty. Her brown skin was smooth and flawless, and her curves were subtle yet captivating. Her breasts were full and round, and her hips flared out from her narrow waist. Her legs were long and lean, ending in delicate feet.I stood there for a moment, taking in the sight of her naked body. I had never really noticed how beautiful she was before, but now I couldn

I knew Reese thought he was using me, but little did he know, I had my own agenda, and it started with getting rid of April.I stood outside April's chambers, taking a deep breath before plastering a fake smile on my face, time to put on a show. As I entered her chambers, I was met with the familiar sight of April's smug face. She looked up from her seat, her eyes red rimmed and puffy… Pathetic. She thought she was so superior, with Kayson's love and devotion wrapped around her finger. But I knew the truth. She was weak, and I was the one who had been holding Kayson and this pack together all these years."Luci, thank you for coming," she said, her voice weak. "I was hoping you could give me an update on the pack. I've been... out of the loop lately."“Luci?! How dare she call me that? What? Does she think we're girlfriends now or what?!”I took a seat next to her, my mind racing with ways to

Kayson's POV I sat in my chambers, my mind consumed by thoughts of April, when Thane limped in, his wounds still fresh from the kidnapping. To April?"Kayson, April's been taken!" he exclaimed, out of breath. As Thane approached, I could see the hesitation in his eyes. He didn't want to tell me, but he knew he had to. "Kayson, April's been taken," he said again, his voice barely above a whisper “Forgive me”My expression turned grave, my heart sinking like a stone. I could hear the distant howls of the Landside pack, but I knew I had a head start.I followed the river, using its winding path to guide me towards the Rogue Park. My mind was focused on one thing, getting April out alive teaching that fucker Winston a damn good lesson."We need to get April out of there," I said, my voice low and urgent. "Winston's pack is getting more aggressive by the day. If we don't act soon, we risk losing her forever."Ronan nodded, his jaw clenched in agreement. "I've been scouting their den for days, looking for any weakness in their defenses. And I think I've found it."I felt a surge of hope, but I pushed it down. We couldn't afford to get ahead of ourselves. Not yet.Ryder's eyes narrowed, his interest piqued. "What is it?"Ronan pulled out a rough map of the den, spread it out on the ground, and pointed to a small X marked on the east side. "There's a small entrance hidden behind a waterfall. Ryder growled, his voice low and menacing. I shook my head, my mind racing. This couldn't be happening, we'd been so sure. We'd scouted the den, knew the guards' rotations, and had planned our attack to perfection. But now, April was nowhere to be found.I took a deep breath, trying to think clearly. We couldn't give up now. We had to find her. "Search the den," I ordered, my voice firm. "She has to be here somewhere." Ronan and Ryder nodded, their faces set in determination.
