SHES TAKEN

Kayson's POV

I sat in my chambers, my mind consumed by thoughts of April, when Thane limped in, his wounds still fresh from the kidnapping. I could see the pain etched on his face, and my gut twisted with anger. What had they done to him? To April?

"Kayson, April's been taken!" he exclaimed, out of breath.

As Thane approached, I could see the hesitation in his eyes. He didn't want to tell me, but he knew he had to. "Kayson, April's been taken," he said again, his voice barely above a whisper “Forgive me”

My expression turned grave, my heart sinking like a stone. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, all the air knocked out of me. "Tell me everything," I growled, my voice low and menacing.

Thane recounted the events, and with each word, my anger grew. How could they take her from me? From us? I could feel my wolf rising, urging me to hunt, to find my woman.

As Thane finished, I turned to him, my eyes narrowing. "Who took her?" I demanded, my voice firm but controlled.
