Alpha Kayson's pov

Alpha Ronan stunned us all, his sudden transformation into a gold-colored wolf catching us off guard. I was still speaking, my voice raised in anger, when he launched himself at Alpha Ryder. The two Alphas clashed, and tore at each other. The sound of their growls and snarls filled the air, their battle intense and ferocious.

For a moment, I considered intervening, to stop the fight before it spiraled out of control. But then I hesitated, realizing that this confrontation had been a long time coming. Alpha Ryder and Alpha Ronan had been at odds for far too long, their rivalry simmering just below the surface and just maybe this might be in my favor.

So I made a split-second decision, my eyes fixed on April's limp form. I transformed into my half-wolf form. In one swift motion, I scooped up April, cradling her in my arms as I turned to flee the scene. I didn't look back from the chaos, April's safety was my only concern.

I was consumed by rage and b
