Ava walked out of the room hurriedly, walking in no particular direction as she just walked where her legs could carry her. “How dare he come back to meet me in my office and continue the abuse on me?” She asked herself as she continued to walk, fighting the tears that threatened to escape her eyes. She became tired of fighting it, and then she freely let the tears pour. “Even when I thought hiding it would give me peace, he still found out and now this is what I get?” She asked herself as she could no longer think straight while she walked.

“Call Mika.” Her mind suddenly told her, but she checked her pocket but could not find her phone. She halted her rapid steps immediately, tilting to look at the back as she calculated the distance that she had covered. She contemplated on whether to go back to the office to pick up her phone or not. Her heart raced slightly faster than normal and placed her hand on her stomach and rubbed gently before she made the decision to go back to the office
