Elijah's eyes grew wider as he stared at the corpse. The way they killed the hunter was similar to how Alexander found his mother two years ago.
"Does it mean that her killer was with us tonight?"
Alexander nodded. "I think so," he answered in a quiet voice, almost like a whisper.
Alexander's POV:Right after I got in the car, I felt my stomach knot and my legs tremble with nervousness. I didn't know what I was most afraid of, not finding my mother's killer or finding him sooner than expected. In both cases, my mind won't be quiet.
Alexander's POV:My hands couldn't stop trembling during the entire ride. I couldn't stop thinking about the zigzagging scars, the Five Brothers' nervousness, and the necklace.
"Can we go inside?" Alexander asked, looking at the white wooden door."Sure," Elijah smiled. "It's your home now."They walked to the door, and Elijah took the key from his pocket before he opened the door.
"Welcome back!" Alexander waited for Leo in front of the mansion. He helped him walk inside and sit on the couch. "How do you feel?" he sat next to him."Very good now that I'm back home," Leo smiled. "Where is the master? I should thank him for paying the hospital fees.""Oh, please," Alexander rolled his eyes. "You are a member of his pack. It's his pleasure to take care of it."
Alexander had to close his eyes and open the car window to smell the fresh air in order not to throw up again. He was feeling uneasy and tired, and he just wanted to lie down and rest."How are you feeling, love?" Elijah squeezed his thigh."I feel sick," Alexander mumbled. "I'm dizzy."Elijah stared at him with a worried face, "We're here, love. Justin will give you medication." He helped his mate walk inside the hospital. The nurse asked them to sit in the waiting room as the doctor had another patient.Elijah stared at Alexander whose face got paler, and his eyes were half-closed because of sleep. He put his arm around him, "Rest your head on my shoulder." he whispered to him.Alexander did as told, and he closed his eyes to sleep for a little while the doctor was still busy. Elijah kissed his head and kept observing the people around them. He saw some mothers carrying their little pups who were crying, and he saw how patient they we
Alexander's POV:The ray of sunshine woke me up, and I caught a strong scent. It wasn't only Elijah's, but it was also a scent of roses. I sat and realized that red roses surrounded me.Elijah? They were on the bedsides, the nightstands, on the desk, and the floor. The red colour looked amazing, shining under the sunlight and surrounded by the beautiful scenery outside."
It was finally Alexander's third month, and the doctor said that he might give birth in five or seven days."Alexander, I told you to rest, please. I will prepare dinner, so rest, okay?" Elijah was worried about his mate, and he wanted to make sure he rested well.During the last months, he cooked his meals, helped him wash up, and bought everything he craved. Sometimes when he was busy with work or had an urgent meeting, he would call Matthew and Levi to stay with Alexander at home.Elijah thought it was difficult as Alexander kept changing moods. He didn't accept his pregnancy easily, and he didn't leave home for weeks, afraid of what others would say about him. His friends visited him from time to time with his brother, and they managed to convince him that it was alright for a male to carry a baby. They even told him that he and Elijah were lucky."I want hamburgers," Alexander said, stroking his big belly.Elijah chuckled and ruffled his hair,
It was late at night, and Elijah was sitting on the couch, reading some articles on the next week's elections. Every ten years, the packs would vote for five wolves to become the new committee members.Since he was a child, everyone always voted for the Five Brothers, and they trusted them for making the packs' lives better. He remembered how his father always did everything to convince people
