Elora’s POV.Thinking about it, if Killian wanted me dead, he wouldn't want anyone to find me, but seeing that Bryce did so really dumbstruck me, and I couldn't help but ask. “How did you find me, Bryce?” I questioned him, and immediately, I could see the fright that was written all over his face. I wasn't sure why he was shocked, but one thing I knew was that it was impossible for anyone at all to find me on the pack's borders. The Blackwood pack and the Ocean pack were two packs that would never agree or progress together. “Well… I … I noticed that they were searching for you, so I had to find you myself.” He explained briefly, making me have doubts. “That doesn't tell why you could find me here, Bryce... How did you know I was at the pack’s border?" I raised a question again, my gaze steadily fixed on him as I awaited a response from him. “Come on, Elora... What's going on in your head?” Bryce asked as he crouched down to where I was sitting on the ground. “You don't think I
Elora's POV.“Stay calm, Elora... He might not really want the pack, you know?” Bryce urged me to try to calm my nerves down. “You said it yourself, Bryce... He was trying to take my pack just a few hours after I went missing.” I remarked, turning to glance at him. “Do you have any idea that I would have been killed if you didn't come to my rescue?” I added, rolling my eyes before I averted my gaze away from him.“But you…” Bryce was going to say as he walked closer to me, but then the sudden appearance of Killian before the door halted him in his tracks. “Elora!” Killian enunciated with joy in his tone as he ran towards me. He was definitely going to hug me, but then I stopped him. “Don't you dare come closer to me, Killian!” I warned with my eyes, glaring at him. “I… I don't understand, Elora… Is something wrong? I am happy that you are back safely so why are you acting this way?” He asked, looking confused, but I knew he was just acting up. “You are what is wrong, Killian! I
Killian's POV. “You did it; you are never innocent!” Elora's words reverberated right inside of me as I made my way out of her room. My insides simmered with so much fury at this point. If there was something I was expecting, it definitely wasn't the fact that Elora would blame or accuse me of trying to hurt her; that was never right, and that was never the plan. Rage kept boiling right inside me, and I couldn't stop it. I couldn't control myself, no matter how I wished to. At this juncture, I recalled her words about the crest of the Blackwood pack. One thing I knew was that the crest of my pack was either given by me or my family members, but as it stands, there was no way I'd give our crest to someone who had intentions of hurting my Luna. “Stella!” Her name escaped my lips the second the realisation dawned on me. She was obviously the one doing this. She loved me so much and would do just about anything to have me, even if it meant killing the one person I desired so much.
Killian's POV. “No one hurts my Luna, and take off unrestricted! Find him and make sure you bring him here! Is that clear?” I commanded with a deep voice, and because Beta Dayton wouldn't want to get on my bad side, he swiftly bowed his head. Reluctantly, he left the room and headed right towards the exit of the mansion. I understood that he didn't want me to be in harm's way; he cared for me so much and wouldn't want anything to happen to me, but at this point, I didn't care. At this point, just one thing meant so much to me, and that was to find out who did it to Elora and prove to her that I was innocent and that I wasn't the kind of Alpha that she presumes me to be. She has always blamed me for killing her father, but little did she know that I had tried to save her father and was almost killed too. “I guess she won't listen to me until I prove it to her! And I must do that sooner! I need to make her see me as her Alpha and her mate!” My fist clenched as I said to myself, my
Elora's POV. I kept on struggling with the fact that Killian had kidnapped me. I was sure that I saw it clearly. I walked into my father's room, and the second I got in, I shut the door right behind me. The scent of him still hung in the room, and I wished for nothing but to have him embrace me tightly, for him to look into my eyes and say he loved me. I sat down at the edge of his bed, grabbing his bedsheet. I couldn't help but begin to sob softly. “I miss you so much, father; I really do!” I let out, with tears filling my eyes at this point. I looked around the room one more time, and my thoughts just focused on seeing him. The sweet memories we had together before his death kept coming into my head, and I wished to stop them, but who was I kidding? It wouldn't stop, not when I still missed him so much. My fist clenched on the dress I was wearing as I stood up from the bed. I walked over to the table in his room. I was going to open it and take a look at what was in his drawer
Elora's POV. “He has a traumatic past, and he can't control himself during the full moon! We have to do something! We must save him!” Stella cried as she pulled herself out of my grip and started again to try to break down the door. She kept on hitting it with her body, which was definitely going to cause harm to her body. She wasn't willing to stop, and it made me feel a sudden guilt on the inside of me. All this time, I was thinking about my painful past, but as it stood, it was certain that Alpha Killian was the one with a tragic past. For an Alpha, as strong as he was to have a traumatic experience, it wasn't just anything that had happened to him. He was pained, and he still blamed himself for what had transpired in the past. “If only I knew, would I not have blamed him or accused him of trying to take my pack away from me?” I pondered, as I couldn't help but hear the growling sound he made right inside the room. I bet werewolves, those who were close by would know that the
Elora's POV. With my claws meandering out and my focus fixed on Killian, I didn't hesitate to walk step by step closer to him. I tried to be cautious because, as it stood, he was dangerous, and getting closer to him wasn't the best option, but at this moment it was my only choice. “I'm not sure why my father selected you to be my husband, and I'm not sure why the moon goddess would make you my mate, Killian...” I paused, still moving with care and precision. “But one thing I know is this: I can't let you kill yourself or die in my pack!” I declared, and with swift action, I rushed towards him. I was going to break through his attack and embrace him, but the second I got pretty close, ready to pass through his hit, Alpha Killian swung his claws, and immediately, they slashed me right on my hand, making me fall to the ground. “Elora… Get out of there right now! Come out! He isn't himself!” Chief Grayson warned as he yelled at the top of his voice, but I still didn't listen. I had
Elora's POV. I felt bad seeing Alpha Killian look so weak and vulnerable. I couldn't stop thinking about how he had glared at me too the second I tried getting closer to where he was standing. “It's all over now, Alpha Killian... It's over, truly!” I muttered as I patted him on the back like he was a child. I knew he couldn't hear what I was saying, but I was certain that his inner wolf was still there and awake. “Elora? Are you okay?” Chief Grayson asked as he and Stella ran into the room. It was obvious that he must have been scared to death, and he wished I had listened to him too. “Elora?” He called out, his hand reaching for my hair, as he thanked the goddess for saving my life before his eyes. He was certain that he had seen me end my own life too. “Can you quit your Thanksgiving and help me out here?” I complained as Killian's weight was becoming too much for me to bear and handle. He was a man, and I was a woman. Even if we were of the same rank, an Alpha, there was no wa
