Raven felt extremely bored that morning. She had woken up at the super early time of three in the morning, as there was absolutely nothing to keep her occupied.

So, she decided to explore the entire house, which was so gigantic that it seemed like it was built for a whole bunch of people, even though only a few actually lived there.

To her understanding, Uncle Ben, Jansen, Achim, and the rest of the staff were supposed to reside in the house, and maybe Nolan. But strangely enough, she couldn't find any of them anywhere.

It's quite puzzling because they are Night Watchers, a group of people who should be wide awake during the night, protecting everyone from the creatures of the dark.

However, it seems like this particular group preferred to snooze through the very same night they should be out there battling those vampires.
