“Suta,” Marco whispered as he opened the door wider for Tamara to come into the house.

Her eyes burned from equal amounts of pain and gratitude as Marco opened up his arms and just hugged her.

Out there, a mere few away from his front porch, Marco hugged her and just let her cry. Tamara broke down again just from his kindness and he held her.

He stood with his arms wrapped around her, slowly rubbing her back as she bawled in his arms.

No questions were asked about where she had been or why she was so broken.

It was one of her favorite things about Marco. He had the ability to just let her exist.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Tamara sobered up and drew back slowly.

“Thank you,” she whispered, love, swelling in her heart for Marco.

“Come,” Marco gently guided Tamara inside the house.

She remained silent as he took her to his room, excused himself to run a hot bath in the bathroom, and then came back for her.
