“I was looking around and dropped my earring,” Tamara lied smoothly as she gave the camera one last push to ensure it was properly secured and discreetly slipped off her left earring.

“Found it!” She stood to her feet with a smile.

David gave her a nod and turned back to his desk. “And about our conversation?”

“What conversation?” Tamar wore her earring back, wiped her hands on her black pants, and strode back to David’s desk until she was directly in front of him.

David’s eyes dropped to Tamara’s lips briefly and he looked back up, but she had noticed and allowed a smirk to grace her lips.

“Eh-” David shook his head and stepped back a bit.

“About my wife. She’s uncomfortable with the way you treat her,”

“I have no problems with your wife, David,” Tamara replied drily.

“Then you’ll have no objections to dinner,” David replied brightly.
