Odessa didn't have the time to talk to Agatha, but she watched her all through the night. She wanted to know why the Female Alpha stood up for her when no one else did.

One time, their gaze met, and Agatha gave her a slight nod in greeting.

“Is everything okay? You've been watching her ever since you came back here.” Sunitra pointed out, staring at her in concern, “Does her presence bother you?”

Odessa was quick to shake her head, “No, no. It's not that. It's just that she stood up for me and openly insulted Victor. I'm intrigued, and I want to know who she is. Not many can insult Victor and get away with it. There's also the fact that the King used the word ‘please’ for her publicly. I know my mate, and he's the most arrogant man I have ever met. Which can only mean one thing: that she's special.”
