D.O.N Corps felt as if Derek had never left. Although his memories were gone, Derek returned as the ruthless CEO everyone knew and feared. The moment his presence graced the scene, indistinct chatter echoed through the halls like ripples in water. On his first day back, he wasted no time, calling back-to-back board meetings. Yet, to his surprise, the company wasn’t in disarray. Every issue he planned to address had already been resolved—Autumn had taken care of it all.

For once, there was little for him to do. This unusual reprieve left the employees of D.O.N Corps grateful to Autumn, despite the grueling meetings she had subjected them to in his absence. As they filed out of the latest board meeting, whispers of appreciation filled the air.

Evette, however, hurried to her office, keen to avoid Derek’s scrutiny.

“Miss Evette,” Derek’s voice cut through the chatter. His stride, usually commanding, carried a hint of hesitation.

Evette froze, her bag half-slung over her shoulder.

Derek took the manual from Autumn, carefully examining the safety latch instructions. Without hesitation, he began rolling up his sleeves. Then, in one smooth motion, he folded his shirt and placed it neatly on a nearby chair. Autumn coughed awkwardly, her gaze darting to the far end of the room. Heat crept up her neck as she felt her face flush. She quickly backed away, giving him space. “I’m going to make lunch,” she mumbled, fleeing before Derek could reply. As she entered the kitchen, her heart pounded in her chest. She leaned on the counter, trying to calm herself. “He’s just here to help with the crib. Get a hold of yourself, Autumn,” she muttered under her breath. Determined to distract herself, she busied herself preparing lunch. Soon, the kitchen filled with the warm aroma of broth. Humming softly, Autumn ladled the soup into two bowls, placing them on a tray. A small frown crossed her face as she glanced at the portions. Will this be enough? she wondered, recalli

Autumn froze at Derek's question. Her mind raced for an answer, but nothing coherent came to her. "We should take this inside, Autumn," Ethan suggested gently, watching the tension in her posture. Autumn shook her head, her resolve hardening. "No. Derek needs to hear this," she muttered with quiet determination, glancing at Derek, whose concerned gaze lingered on her. His expression wavered, confused and uneasy. "If I tell you the truth, Derek," Autumn began hesitantly, her voice low but steady, "you might hate me. Or worse, you'll think I'm crazy." Derek stepped closer, his brow furrowed deeply. "Will the truth make me hate you?" Autumn hesitated, uncertainty flickering in her eyes before her expression turned cold. "That depends on you," she replied flatly. Derek took a steadying breath, the weight of her words settling uncomfortably in his chest. "So... who’s back?" "Charlie Fraser," she answered bluntly. Derek blinked, his brows knitting together. "The Charlie Fras

Autumn's throat went dry. She hadn’t expected her sister to catch on to her, but that didn’t matter. What mattered now was how much Iris knew. Her gaze swept over Iris, studying her from head to toe. It was uncanny—almost disorienting—how much Iris resembled Charlie. But there was always something unsettling about Iris, an eerie presence that lingered whenever she was nearby. That’s why Autumn had never fully accepted the idea that Iris was dead. Something about it had never felt right.“It’s been a while now,” Autumn said, her voice calm but laced with an edge. “Do you know you can go to jail for identity theft? Well, if it’s still called that, considering what you did is... rather extreme.” Iris chuckled, a sharp, scornful sound. Her lips curved into a mocking smile, her glare slicing through Autumn like a blade. “It’s not theft if it was handed to me by Elliot,” Iris retorted. “Besides, I’m just helping Charlie. You know, until she gets back—if she gets back.” Autumn’s eyes wid

Derek's footsteps echoed loudly in the polished hallway of Fraser Media Company, each step firm with determination. The sound seemed to reverberate in his mind, stirring fragments of memories he couldn't fully grasp. One of Charlie's bodyguards, tall and expressionless, escorted him without a word, leading him to her office with a precision that made the encounter feel almost ceremonial. By the time they reached the heavy oak door, Derek's emotions were a chaotic mix: disgust, confusion, and a simmering annoyance. Charlie's recent behavior gnawed at him. If her claims were true, she could have simply filed for divorce. Yet she’d clung to him, claiming to love him for years, making it nearly impossible for Derek to sever their twisted bond. The bodyguard opened the door with a professional nod, stepping aside as Derek entered. His eyes immediately landed on Charlie's back, her silhouette framed by the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the bustling city. She turned slowly, he

Evette was close to losing her mind. Twelve hours had passed, and there still wasn’t a single sign of Derek. Autumn’s desperate screams filled the air as she called his name, her trembling hands clutching the phone tightly, but the line was dead—no response, no promise of a returned call. Pacing frantically in the corridor, Evette could hear Autumn’s cries echoing from inside the labor room. The weight in her chest tightened like an invisible chain pulling her heart. Without thinking, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. Autumn lay on the bed, her face drenched in a mixture of tears and sweat, her body trembling with exhaustion. The midwife stood by her side, her voice firm but encouraging. “Come on, just push!” the midwife urged, but Autumn weakly shook her head, her lips quivering. “I can’t do it. I can’t…” Her voice was barely a whisper, choked with pain and despair. She instinctively tried to close her legs, but the nurse quickly moved to help the midwife, holding

Ivan's hand quaked under the butt of the gun. His eyes reddened, simmering in a heat of hatred. He didn’t know what he hated more—his stupid uncle or the way every single person looked up to him in admiration. He hated it to the fucking core, the same admiration his uncle had gotten when he publicly disowned him and his brothers. He lowered his gaze, and the sight of her pissed him off even more. It wasn’t bad enough that she was the main reason his father tortured him day and night, but she just had to fuck the one person he hated most. "Is this who you left me for? My uncle? After everything I did for you!" Ivan raised his voice, his index finger laced around the trigger. He turned his attention back to his uncle. "And you," he seethed. "What do you think you’re going to gain? Do you really think everyone believes you’re some fucking hero just because you put on some shitty chivalry? You’re a fucking asshole." Ivan spat the words, but Derek didn’t flinch one bit. His eyes lock

Ivan could no longer maintain his composure as he slammed the documents onto the table, his glare drilling into the now-nervous executives. The tension in the room was thick. Just before they could finalize the deal, news broke that Derek and Autumn were on their way to oversee the negotiations. The news spread like wildfire, leaving the company’s employees buzzing with indistinct chatter.Ivan’s eyes darted toward Judas, then to his phone. Twenty-five minutes was left. Judas, however, was seething beneath his calm exterior. Ivan’s outburst had shattered their carefully constructed facade, making them appear inexperienced and unfit to lead the company. Worse still, Derek’s insistence that no meeting should proceed without him complicated matters further. Winning over the executives now would be a fucking uphill battle. If Judas had foreseen his uncle meddling with his plans, he might have considered a more drastic solution, he should have killed him from the beginning."Ivan," Judas

Autumn held her stomach, exhaling a puff of warm air as her stylist tightened the corset further. She had been feeling self-conscious about her figure, and when the stylist suggested a corset, it seemed like a good idea. Now, as the laces pulled taut, she wished she could breathe with ease. After what felt like an eternity, the stylist helped her into a red midi dress—a tailored, structured piece with a V-neckline and a wrap-style bodice. The fabric hugged her frame, cinched at the waist with a matching belt that enhanced her silhouette. Autumn gulped, a forced smile tugging at her lips. "Is the belt really necessary?" she asked with a nervous chuckle. The stylist simply nodded, patting her gently on the back as she adjusted the final touches on the belt. A mirror had been brought over, nestled close to the table near the hospital bed, reflecting Autumn’s image back at her. Her hands fiddled awkwardly as she stared at the woman in the mirror. For a moment, she could barely recogn

The line went dead, and the silence that followed was almost suffocating. Autumn’s hand trembled, her face twisting into a worried pout. She glanced at Evette, then at Derek. “I’m sorry,” she murmured, her voice quivering as she turned to Derek. “They’re going to take everything,” Autumn hissed, her voice rising in panic. “And it’s all my fault.” Before her knees could buckle, Derek caught her mid-fall, pulling her gently back up and guiding her onto the bed. “It’s okay,” he whispered, his voice steady as he wiped the tears streaming down her face. Autumn shook her head bitterly. “It’s not okay. I didn’t think this through. I left the company practically in Judas’s grasp. I was so scared of Iris that I forced Evette to watch over me instead of keeping an eye on him. I handed the company to your nephews on a silver platter,” she sobbed, her voice fragile and broken, like splintered glass. “I let you down.” A pout formed on her lips as Derek continued to dry her tears, liste

Ivan rose from his cell, his gaze locking with the wardens as they escorted him out. News had spread like wildfire: Iris and her father were dead in what was being labeled a double suicide. Ivan felt no sorrow, no grief—only disappointment. Iris had taken the easy way out, leaving him alone to bear the weight of their ruined legacy. The wardens led him to the visitation room. A faint smirk tugged at his lips. The only person who would bother to see him was Autumn—it was obvious to him that she was still obsessed with him. But to his surprise, the person waiting for him wasn’t Autumn. It was his brother. Ivan’s face immediately fell into a scowl, his disappointment unmistakable. The look was so clear that even someone miles away could have caught it. He sat down across from Judas, his fury bubbling just beneath the surface. Derek slowly opened his eyes. The scene before him felt eerily familiar, yet he couldn’t place where he was. Everything around him was white—the bed, the sheets, the pillows, the walls, even the clothes he wore. “Did I die?” he murmured, a wave of nausea washing over him. His face turned ashen, and he was certain it was the only color breaking the monotony of white. Then, his ears caught a faint sound, muffled at first. Children. Were they crying? No, they were laughing. His gaze shifted toward the white door, curiosity tugging at him, urging him to investigate. “Don’t open that door.” Derek froze at a woman’s command, for some reason he did not get a weird surge of panic that a woman was in his room. He slowly turned, his eyes basking at a woman in white, she looked familiar, her skin was as pale as a ghost, her hair shiny and long. She wore a red lipstick that only seemed to be the only interesting contrast on her face.“Stay with me Derek, don’t leave me for her.” The woman warn

The headlines dominating the tabloids were a whirlwind: Elliot’s death, Ivan and Iris’s arrest, and speculation about the whereabouts of the real Charlie Fraser. At last, people were starting to accept the truth about Iris’s plastic surgery, thanks to the damning recording. Turning off the TV, Autumn shifted her focus to her son. She gazed down at him with a soft smile, the corners of her lips curving with a mix of affection and protectiveness.“No one is going to hurt you now, Lucas.
