"You fell, hit your head, and you’ve been in a coma for about three days. I have no idea why you can’t speak, though." Iris’s voice dripped with false concern as she walked over to a desk, calmly pouring water into a glass. She handed it to Autumn with a patronizing smile. "You must be thirsty, here..."

Without hesitation, Autumn slapped the glass from Iris’s hand, sending it crashing to the floor where it shattered into countless pieces. The water splattered across the tiles, the sound sharp in the sterile silence of the hospital room.

Iris looked down at the broken glass, then back at Autumn, her expression shifting from surprise to fury.

"Watch it, you whore," Iris hissed, her voice low and venomous. "You can’t talk, so I can put you in a hell of a lot of trouble."

Autumn’s gaze snapped to the door as Dexter walked in, her heart sinking at the sight of the two devils now sharing the room with her.

"Dexter..." Iris pouted, running to him with exaggerated distress. Dexter caught he

"What the hell are you doing?" Derek’s voice sliced through the tension in the room like a knife, causing both Dexter and Autumn to drift their focus towards him. He stood in the doorway, his tall frame rigid with barely contained fury. Dexter’s manic expression shifted abruptly into a cold, impassive mask. His eyes flicked to Autumn, and the silent warning in his gaze was unmistakable, urging her to play along. But Autumn’s gaze didn’t waver. Her eyes locked onto Dexter’s, defiant and unyielding, silently telling him she wasn’t going to cooperate.Dexter chuckled, the sound dark and mirthless. He reached out, tilting Autumn’s chin with the back of his hand, his touch lingering in a mockery of tenderness. “I was just giving her a check-up,” he said, his voice smooth, though he could feel the slight tremor in his hands. He dropped his grip and took a step back, adjusting his belt surreptitiously, hoping it wouldn’t betray him by letting his pants slip.Derek’s expression hardened. “T

Derek's eyes scanned the sterile hospital hallway, the faint scent of antiseptic lingering in the air as he made his way towards Autumn's room. The permit in his pocket was still warm, and the memory of his recent work call buzzed faintly in the back of his mind. He clutched a small bouquet of flowers—a vibrant hibiscus—its petals soft under his fingers, intending to offer it to her as a small gesture. His mind wandered to the last time he visited. He had managed to get Autumn her phone, the only thing that kept them connected when his work pulled him away. But he could still hear Charlie's playful jab, teasing him about always showing up empty-handed. The words hadn’t stung, but then, he felt a twinge of guilt. He could not forget Autumn's almond-shaped eyes, wide and bright despite her condition, catching his gaze like a beacon. In that instant, he wished he could fill the room with flowers, a sea of color that might make her smile just a little brighter. Derek hadn't known what fl

It was a miserable sight. Ivan rushed to Iris’s side, dismissing Derek's perspective entirely. His nephew’s eyes burned with contempt, a silent challenge simmering in the air as if Ivan needed to reassert his dominance. Derek remained unfazed, his expression cold and detached. Without a word, he turned to leave, his intention clear—he would head to Autumn’s ward. But Ivan moved swiftly, stepping into Derek’s path, blocking his way. The tension between them crackled like a live wire."You've been spending way too much time with my wife, don't you think?" Ivan’s voice was low, laced with a dangerous edge. Derek’s gaze flickered to Iris, who lay feigning sleep, her breathing uneven and unconvincing."Isn't that better?" Derek’s voice, deep and smooth, carried a hint of mockery. He tilted his head slightly, eyes narrowing. "You can have your mistress, and your wife doesn’t have to worry about your affair. Everyone’s happy, aren’t they?" Ivan's grip on Iris tightened involuntarily, his kn

The mortified look on Iris's face was unmistakable. She froze in her spot, her expression blank and stiff, but her eyes betrayed a storm of emotions. Her face contorted into a trembling mask of disbelief, her lips quivered as if struggling to form words, and her tongue felt heavy, locked within her mouth, unable to utter a single syllable. In that moment, if it wasn't already known, one could have mistaken Iris for the mute one, not Autumn.A nervous, almost humorless scoff escaped Iris's lips, a hollow sound that carried no mirth. Her gaze, sharp and frantic, was fixed on Ivan. "T-That's not the entire thing. S-She's lying to your face, Ivan," she stammered, her voice wavering as her lips quivered, curling into a desperate pout.Autumn, with a calmness that only fueled Iris's growing panic, played the audio once more. The room filled with the damning evidence. Iris's rage erupted. In a frantic, unthinking motion, she lunged at Autumn, desperate to seize the phone and silence the dam

The feeling was new, or it felt new. Sitting in silence in the car as Ivan drove the both of them. Her face glued to the window screen of the car, her phone buzzing from receiving texts from Charlie.Autumn managed to look at her phone as Charlie showed her multiple pictures of her birthday dress, food and venue for her party. She had her maid pick up Charlie's gift. The little money she owned she hired a jewler to make the Red scarlet necklace. Although it's very expensive but it wasn't what Charlie fawned about during her visits.Charlie had been talking about having the blue heritage necklace in her possession, it was almost worth 200 million dollars.Well she couldn't blame Charlie for having that kind of necklace in her possession she was a Fraser. Although she couldn't afford it she couldn't just show up without a gift, hence she settled for the red scarlet."Who are you texting?" Ivan asked, Jolting Autumn back into reality. She immediately opened Ivan's chat and texted him. "T

A wide smile plastered itself on Elliot's lips, a blend of amusement and something more primal flickering in his eyes. His amusement was mirrored by a stirring excitement that settled in the third member between his legs. His gaze lingered, tracing every delicate movement of the maid as she approached, her graceful steps almost mesmerizing. As she poured a glass of rich, dark wine into his goblet, Elliot's eyes followed her every gesture—every tilt of the wrist, every shift of her hips. The deep red liquid swirled in the glass, but his attention was far from the drink. When she moved to fill Ivan’s glass, Elliot’s gaze remained locked on her, captivated by the gentle sway of her form, the soft rustle of her uniform. He shook his head slightly, a wry smile tugging at his lips. If only the women in his manor possessed the same allure as those who served Ivan. A thought struck him—he was genuinely surprised Ivan hadn’t boasted about bedding a maid or two by now. All Ivan ever seemed to

Cool, warm breath morphed into a faint mist each time she gasped, the frigid air biting at her skin. Iris felt the numbness creeping into her limbs, the cold seeping deep into her bones. Her head snapped around, eyes wide with fear as she scanned the area, desperate to make sure no one had witnessed what she had just done. Panic clawed at her chest, her breath coming in short, ragged bursts, her neck stinging as though unseen hands were choking her.Her gaze darted back to the pool, where tiny bubbles surfaced—Autumn’s final breaths. A hiss of disdain escaped Iris's lips as she glared at the water. Maybe Autumn had been right; maybe she was drunk. She hadn't meant to assault Autumn, not at first. Her plan had been simple: shatter the bottle on the floor, grab a jagged piece, and stab herself. Then, in front of everyone, she’d blame Autumn for the attack. But anger had taken control, and instead, she smashed the bottle against Autumn's head."No matter," Iris muttered, gripping the sha

Ivan's hand quaked under the butt of the gun. His eyes reddened, simmering in a heat of hatred. He didn’t know what he hated more—his stupid uncle or the way every single person looked up to him in admiration. He hated it to the fucking core, the same admiration his uncle had gotten when he publicly disowned him and his brothers. He lowered his gaze, and the sight of her pissed him off even more. It wasn’t bad enough that she was the main reason his father tortured him day and night, but she just had to fuck the one person he hated most. "Is this who you left me for? My uncle? After everything I did for you!" Ivan raised his voice, his index finger laced around the trigger. He turned his attention back to his uncle. "And you," he seethed. "What do you think you’re going to gain? Do you really think everyone believes you’re some fucking hero just because you put on some shitty chivalry? You’re a fucking asshole." Ivan spat the words, but Derek didn’t flinch one bit. His eyes lock

Ivan could no longer maintain his composure as he slammed the documents onto the table, his glare drilling into the now-nervous executives. The tension in the room was thick. Just before they could finalize the deal, news broke that Derek and Autumn were on their way to oversee the negotiations. The news spread like wildfire, leaving the company’s employees buzzing with indistinct chatter.Ivan’s eyes darted toward Judas, then to his phone. Twenty-five minutes was left. Judas, however, was seething beneath his calm exterior. Ivan’s outburst had shattered their carefully constructed facade, making them appear inexperienced and unfit to lead the company. Worse still, Derek’s insistence that no meeting should proceed without him complicated matters further. Winning over the executives now would be a fucking uphill battle. If Judas had foreseen his uncle meddling with his plans, he might have considered a more drastic solution, he should have killed him from the beginning."Ivan," Judas

Autumn held her stomach, exhaling a puff of warm air as her stylist tightened the corset further. She had been feeling self-conscious about her figure, and when the stylist suggested a corset, it seemed like a good idea. Now, as the laces pulled taut, she wished she could breathe with ease. After what felt like an eternity, the stylist helped her into a red midi dress—a tailored, structured piece with a V-neckline and a wrap-style bodice. The fabric hugged her frame, cinched at the waist with a matching belt that enhanced her silhouette. Autumn gulped, a forced smile tugging at her lips. "Is the belt really necessary?" she asked with a nervous chuckle. The stylist simply nodded, patting her gently on the back as she adjusted the final touches on the belt. A mirror had been brought over, nestled close to the table near the hospital bed, reflecting Autumn’s image back at her. Her hands fiddled awkwardly as she stared at the woman in the mirror. For a moment, she could barely recogn

The line went dead, and the silence that followed was almost suffocating. Autumn’s hand trembled, her face twisting into a worried pout. She glanced at Evette, then at Derek. “I’m sorry,” she murmured, her voice quivering as she turned to Derek. “They’re going to take everything,” Autumn hissed, her voice rising in panic. “And it’s all my fault.” Before her knees could buckle, Derek caught her mid-fall, pulling her gently back up and guiding her onto the bed. “It’s okay,” he whispered, his voice steady as he wiped the tears streaming down her face. Autumn shook her head bitterly. “It’s not okay. I didn’t think this through. I left the company practically in Judas’s grasp. I was so scared of Iris that I forced Evette to watch over me instead of keeping an eye on him. I handed the company to your nephews on a silver platter,” she sobbed, her voice fragile and broken, like splintered glass. “I let you down.” A pout formed on her lips as Derek continued to dry her tears, liste

Derek could feel the world closing on him. It was ridiculous he was looking for someone and didn't even know how they looked like. But he felt if he just saw this person, things would feel better, the pounding headache he was feeling every second would simmer. He dragged his feed forcibly across the cold tile of the hospital. The walls around him began to spin and immediately he figured out if he should just give up."Derek!!!" Derek paused. That had to be his name, the nurse called him Mr Derek earlier. He couldn't force his body to turn, so he just stood there. The sound of footsteps coming closer could be heard till the figure appeared before him.His eyes widened open to get a closer look of the woman."You're awake." Ivan rose from his cell, his gaze locking with the wardens as they escorted him out. News had spread like wildfire: Iris and her father were dead in what was being labeled a double suicide. Ivan felt no sorrow, no grief—only disappointment. Iris had taken the easy way out, leaving him alone to bear the weight of their ruined legacy. The wardens led him to the visitation room. A faint smirk tugged at his lips. The only person who would bother to see him was Autumn—it was obvious to him that she was still obsessed with him. But to his surprise, the person waiting for him wasn’t Autumn. It was his brother. Ivan’s face immediately fell into a scowl, his disappointment unmistakable. The look was so clear that even someone miles away could have caught it. He sat down across from Judas, his fury bubbling just beneath the surface. Ivan had never forgiven his brother for betraying him and their father, all to grovel at Autumn’s feet. “What are you doing here?” Ivan snapped, his eyes narro

Derek slowly opened his eyes. The scene before him felt eerily familiar, yet he couldn’t place where he was. Everything around him was white—the bed, the sheets, the pillows, the walls, even the clothes he wore. “Did I die?” he murmured, a wave of nausea washing over him. His face turned ashen, and he was certain it was the only color breaking the monotony of white. Then, his ears caught a faint sound, muffled at first. Children. Were they crying? No, they were laughing. His gaze shifted toward the white door, curiosity tugging at him, urging him to investigate. “Don’t open that door.” Derek froze at a woman’s command, for some reason he did not get a weird surge of panic that a woman was in his room. He slowly turned, his eyes basking at a woman in white, she looked familiar, her skin was as pale as a ghost, her hair shiny and long. She wore a red lipstick that only seemed to be the only interesting contrast on her face.“Stay with me Derek, don’t leave me for her.” The woman warn

Autumn’s eyes remained fixed on the screen, watching the footage of Ivan and Iris’s arrest. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as a wave of relief washed over her—both of them were finally caught, and the rumors tarnishing her name were beginning to fade. The headlines dominating the tabloids were a whirlwind: Elliot’s death, Ivan and Iris’s arrest, and speculation about the whereabouts of the real Charlie Fraser. At last, people were starting to accept the truth about Iris’s plastic surgery, thanks to the damning recording. Turning off the TV, Autumn shifted her focus to her son. She gazed down at him with a soft smile, the corners of her lips curving with a mix of affection and protectiveness.“No one is going to hurt you now, Lucas. Mommy will make sure of that,” Autumn whispered softly to the little one cradled in her arms. If it were possible, she would have held him even tighter, her fear of losing him looming over her like a shadow. She refused to let the nurses take him back to t
