Joshua shifted his gaze from Luna onto the boy in front of him. He crouched down and said, “Well, I’m your Daddy. You don’t have to thank me.”

“That’s right, but I still wanted to thank you.” Suddenly, Neil seemed to recall something. He glanced at Joshua and said, “The people who kidnapped us didn’t want to kill us, nor did they want to hold us for ransom. It seemed like the only reason they kidnapped us was to beat us up in revenge. Did you happen to offend anyone lately?”
