Alexis frowned quite deeply, with a strange feeling all over her body right now. Alexis tried to slowly open her eyelids there. She was dazzled by the sunlight hitting her face. “Shhh… gosh, my head is so dizzy.” Alexis muttered as she raised her right hand there to gently massage her forehead.

Alexis opened her eyes and looked confusedly at her current surroundings. Alexis blinked a few times, and tried to focus on her gaze right now and there. But after Alexis regained consciousness, she immediately sat up on the bed in a panic. “Oh my gosh, where am I? W-what happened? I…” Alexis mumbled for a moment before finally falling silent.

Alexis lowered her head and began to recall the events that happened last night. Where she meets Adrian who turns out to be a vampire. And unfortunately, Adrian drank her blood so badly. That flash of memory instantly made Alexis frantically touch the left side of her neck which was bitten by Adrian last night. And sure enough, there was an excruciating pain that she felt when she touched the side of her neck there. Frantically, Alexis looked around her unfamiliar surroundings. It wasn't a dorm room on her campus. It is a room dominated by vintage pastel colors. Full of old stuff.

Alexis quickly got up from the bed and looked for her bag. What she found her bag, it was on the small table that was by the bed there. Then, Alexis took the bag and dug into its contents. Looking for a cell phone. “Shit...” Alexis mumbled from the panic she couldn't help but feel right now. And when in the end, Alexis got her phone, she immediately opened it. However, a second later, Alexis sighed in annoyance. “There was no signal...” She gripped the phone tightly in the palm of his right hand.

Out of curiosity, Alexis turned on the camera on her cell phone and pointed it near her neck. Then take a picture. Alexis also saw the photos she took on her neck. And sure enough, there were two small, wide gaping holes, and a red color to the wound and its surroundings. It looks awful and painful. Alexis turned off her cell phone and fell silent in disbelief. “Wait, does that mean I'm still alive now? A-am I okay?” Alexis started patting her face a few times and tried to wake herself up.

"Don't hit yourself in the face, Alexis."

The voice that was heard speaking from behind Alexis instantly made Alexis drop the bag and cell phone in her hands onto the floor, then turned her body towards the back. Alexis widened her eyes. Right in front of her right now stood Adrian, dressed in black casual clothes. His hair is neatly arranged which Alexis believes used pomade to style it. Alexis subconsciously noticed Adrian, starting from the color of his skin that looked very pale, his blue eyes returned, there was no metallic color like she saw last night, and red lips that somehow made Alexis feel a little nauseous.

"Have you had enough of watching me, Alexis?" Adrian asked in a mocking tone of voice.

Alexis stammered nervously, then immediately averted her gaze. “What do you want from me, Adrian? Don't forget that I already know the truth about who you really are…” Alexis mumbled. She tried to stay brave, though she couldn't shake off the fear that was starting to creep into his feelings.

Adrian didn't immediately answer Alexis' question, and instead started walking closer to Alexis. Seeing that, Alexis frantically walked backwards, trying to get away from there Adrian. But not long after that, Alexis fell sitting right on the bed. She forgot the fact that right behind her was a bed. Alexis gripped the blanket on the bed with her palms, and looked at Adrian with fear. Before long, Adrian stopped walking right in front of Alexis.

“You ask what I want? If I answer it will you give it to me?” Adrian turned to ask Alexis in a cold tone.

“Y-yes… as long as you let me go and let me get out of here.” Alexis answered haltingly there.

“Unfortunately… all I want is for you to be mine, Alexis.” Adrian reached out his right palm towards Alexis and stroked the side of Alexis' neck that he had bitten last night. Alexis tried to dodge, slightly away from Adrian's touch there. “That means I will never let go or even let you walk away from me, Alexis.” Adrian continued.

"But why should I? I promise, I won't tell anyone the truth about who you are. I will not tell anyone that you are a vampire. So please let me go.” Alexis looked directly into Adrian's eyes there. Increasingly trying to muster up the remaining courage within her at this very moment.

Adrian pushed his palms away and smirked, revealing his two canines inside those lips. It made Alexis' breath catch on for a moment. "I know. You will never say anything to anyone. But sadly, you were mine from the first time you saw me prey on someone. Do you remember that, Alexis?”

Alexis blinked a few times her eyelids. That means the vampire I saw the first time was indeed Adrian. He is the same vampire. Alexis' mind spoke. Then Alexis began to return a sharp glare from Adrian there. "I am not yours. I don't belong to anyone. So don't disturb my life. Let me live in peace. Let's just say that we have never met before. And I've never seen you kill anyone." Alexis said loudly. Trying to give as little threat as he could to Adrian right there right now.

But the threat said by Alexis, instantly made Adrian look angry and annoyed. Then with a quick movement, Adrian grabbed Alexis by the neck and lifted her up. Alexis grabbed Adrian's right hand which was strangling her in there using both of her palms. She was starting to have trouble breathing. Alexis even started to cough. With her two feet now no longer even on the floor of the room. Adrian lifted her quite high with only one hand.

“L-let go… let go of me…” Alexis tried to free herself.

“I've been kind enough not to kill you, Alexis. Because your blood is my addiction. It's as if the blood that flows in your body was created for me. And just for me only. You were born only for me. I've been waiting for this day to come for ages. And when I find and smell your blood, then that means you are mine forever. Only mine. I won't let you get away from me in the slightest, Alexis." Adrien's words full of promise were heard by Alexis before finally the darkness began to swallow her consciousness.

Adrian looked at Alexis who was still unconscious. It's been almost two hours. But Adrian never stopped looking at Alexis with his sharp eyes. Every now and then Adrian looked at his bite scar on Alexis' neck with his unfocused gaze. It was as if he felt hypnotized just by staring at Alexis' neck. And Adrian swallowed his saliva with a thirst for Alexis' blood. For Adrian, Alexis' blood is sweet with a distinctive copper scent. Once again it made him feel hungry just thinking about how Alexis' blood had tasted in his throat last night.

“I won't be able to let you get away from me after all, Alexis. Your blood is the blood most sought after by our people. Vampires. But judging by the way you reacted, it seems like you didn't even know that at all. That the truth is that you are a vampire hunter. For centuries, I have searched for humans who have the blood of vampire hunters. But I never managed to find it.”

Adrian paused. Then he got up from his chair and walked over to Alexis' bed. Sitting beside Alexis who was lying down, and gently caressing Alexis' face there. “When I smelled your blood that night, I knew that you were different. And I lost my control not to drink your blood. Because I feel curious about who you really are. But it's true, you are that human, Alexis. You are a human who has the blood of a vampire hunter. Blood that can help a vampire like me to return to life as a human or remain a stronger vampire. It all depends on you, Alexis.”

Adrian took his palms away, and gripped them tightly. "But somehow I can't do it. I don't think I can be selfish by drinking your blood to the point of killing you. I don't understand why after drinking some of your blood, I feel something is bound. So I can't do it."
