I find this story to be suspicious. I also feel Jacob's mother isn't being truthful in explaining what happened regarding her motivation. If she didn't believe Rachael's claims she should have allowed and pushed for an investigation. She deprived Adrian of a chance to take his rightful title .

one thing we're not looking at is Jessica and Jacob weren't trained like Adrian and those officers. and they had no investigative skill or anything but they still tried because Adrian is family but when a princess gets fated to him they want to make it as if Jacob and Jessica set him up. I see them
