Next to the entrance, Marcus turned around and saw Mindy, still frozen in place where Selene once stood. She stood alone, her eyes socket sank deeply into her skin, giving her the resemblance of a sewer rat.

"You ugly troll! You were bullying my mommy at the door just now, why are you still here? Aren't you sisters with that other troll? She is already gone, why aren't you gone too?" Aino confronted her sharply within her great-grandfather's arms.

Mindy couldn't respond in any way. She simply looked at Marcus with an unspoken plea in her eyes. Marcus, on the other hand, stared back fiercely. The judgment and contempt was undeniable in his eyes. Mindy's heart sank into despair at the realization that her cousin had lost any form of sympathy for her.

"Cousin Marcus..." she tried again.
