Braxton-

Izariah, Izariah, Izariah. I replayed the name in my head as I pinched the identification card I held in my hand. I wanted to engrain the name in my head so I could focus all my energy on the one that made me look like a fool.

Where did she get off thinking she could talk to me like that? She must have a death wish. Never in my life have I ever been insulted by anyone. Not to mention she had the audacity to attack me and did not think I would retaliate.

At first, I hadn’t made a move because I had been both pissed off and shocked by her actions. It had taken everything I possessed to not let my wolf unleash his fury on her. Now, I think I should have just let him out.

I had to admit that she did intrigue me though, with her ability to not obey my command. She couldn’t be more than a low-level wolf, barely worth my time. When I interacted with her, I hardly sensed her wolf, which was probably because her wolf was weak.

Unable to figure out how she could withstand an Alpha command, I decided to let it go for now. As I looked at her picture, I couldn’t help but think she had a beautiful smile. Overall, she was beautiful, with her honey-brown hair and deep blue eyes. Yet, my hatred of her wouldn’t allow me to look at her any other way other than as an enemy that I needed to destroy.

I only needed to figure out how to get her under my control so I could make her regret getting involved with something that didn’t concern her. If she thought she could get away with it, she was sorely mistaken. Leaning against the back of my chair, I flipped the small card between my fingers repeatedly.

“Have you found anything yet?” I asked Sebastian, who was known as a genius and expert strategist.

There were four of us, me, Jace, Sebastian, and Lexus. Each of us was known as the Four Alpha Princes, but not because we were royalty technically, even though many recognized us as such. It was because we belonged to four of the largest packs in the world.

Our bloodline was strong enough to rival that of the Alpha King himself. Our families had a lot of power in the werewolf community. As far as my bloodline is concerned, I was connected to the Alpha King.

My father was the Alpha King’s cousin by marriage, although our families weren’t closely bonded with each other. That meant that I could become the Alpha King in the future if something were to happen. I had no interest in becoming Alpha King though.

In all reality, I wasn’t interested in anything other than living my life without all the politics involved. I would accept my role as next in line as Alpha of my pack because I could easily just pass the politics of everything to the Beta.

It wasn’t something I needed to worry about though, at least not right now. For now, I just had to get through the next two years of college and make Izariah suffer. Just thinking about it put a smile on my face.

“She is enrolled at the WSU, Woodland state university on the other side of the city. Her grades are remarkable, and she is at the top of her freshman class. She comes from a small pack a few hours away, but I can’t find much about them.” Sebastian clicked a few buttons on his computer and stopped talking.

Each of us had our own personality and we had our own strengths that made our group as impressive as it was. If we could create our own pack, I am sure that we could be the strongest pack in the world. Around campus, we were known as the Ace of Clubs, and we had our own private sector on the school grounds where we took care of club-related matters.

It might sound lame, but it started in high school. We hadn’t attended our pack high school like everyone else, we were sent to a boarding school so we could study and train to become Alphas. We immediately became friends and started hanging out with each other.

A random person had made a comment that we were all like an ace card. We might be different, but each of us excelled in our own way. Since then, we created a club and called it the Ace of Clubs.

None of us had expected it to become as popular as it is now. Carried on from high school, our reputation proceeded. We even found out that we had our own fan club.

Ace of Clubs was an exclusive club, meant only for us four members. We didn’t hold any official club activities, but we were still treated like any other club on campus. Mainly because we did contribute to the school in some way or another.

Sebastian was known as the emotionless whiz kid who had the ability to analyze any situation. He could remain calm under even the most intense situations, which made him a formidable opponent. He was also one of the strongest strategists I knew who could come up with a plan for nearly everything, as well as two or three backup plans.

Then there was Jace, who was my closest friend but my opposite. He kept quiet most of the time, but mostly because he was very observant. I knew he didn’t like the things I did, but he always had my back no matter what.

He would make a better Alpha than me, yet he wanted nothing to do with leading a pack. His interests rested on his art. Due to his loyalty to his friends and family, he refused to go against his father’s wishes.

Out of all four of us, he had the kindest and purest heart. Personally, I believed he needed to have more of a backbone. He would become an excellent Alpha, but his personality was more like a loyal beta wolf.

Lastly, there was Lexus, although he preferred to be called Lex. He was mostly into fast cars and fast women. He took after his father in that aspect. Lex viewed everything as a game and that everything could be bought with money.

His personality was the closest one to mine, other than he was just always happy, while I had a temper. I agreed that everything could be bought with money, but I also believed that I could get anything done because of my position in the werewolf community. Having a powerful family allowed me certain advantages.

Take the fact that I was attending the most prestigious university that was founded by my mother. It didn’t matter what I did in school, no one could do anything about it. Even the Dean of Admissions didn’t have power over me.

Granted, any time there was a problem that he believed needed to be dealt with, he would get my mother involved. She wasn’t someone that anyone wanted to mess with. My father might be the Alpha, but everyone knows that she holds the power in their relationship.

If I didn’t embarrass the family too much or do anything that could jeopardize the pack, she didn’t care what I did. My parents haven’t ever paid much attention to me. They only cared about money and power.

It was for that reason that I had the determination to destroy Izariah and force her to submit to me. I wanted to show her that she wasn’t as strong as she believed she was. A smile spread over my lips as I imagined what her face would look like when she was on her knees begging me to forgive her.

“Either she is part of some secret society, or she has kept a low profile over the years, I can’t find anything else about her from before she started college. I see she is on a scholarship and works two jobs but doesn’t receive any financial help.” Sebastian said after a while of him searching his computer.

“In other words, she is a nobody.” I chuckled.

Leaning forward, I was struck with an idea. “Are her grades adequate enough to be accepted here?”

“The education level here is more advanced, but from what I can tell, her academic level might be better than a lot of the students here. There is no way she could get in though because her financial situation wouldn’t qualify. She is an Omega wolf, which won’t be enough to get admission.” Sebastian responded.

“Let me worry about the rest. Get her transcripts and email them to me.” As jumped up from my chair and started towards the door.

With my plan formulating in my head, I left the clubhouse to make my way to the Dean’s office. Getting her into school wasn’t going to be difficult. Since the Dean was a member of my pack, I could force him to get her transferred to this school.

Once she was here, I could begin making her life a living hell.

Izariah-Finally, today was the day we would be getting the results back from our exam, that we took a week ago. Staring at my phone, I was growing impatient as I waited. My roommate had already received hers, but I was still waiting. The longer it took to receive my results, the more I started to worry. I felt that I did good, but maybe I had messed up because I had been in a rush to get out of there. My anxiety was at an all-time high right now, which was obvious as I bounced my leg up and down.“Try refreshing it. It could be possible that it is taking a while because everyone is receiving them around the same time. It could just be the system is overwhelmed.” My roommate suggested.Tapping on the refresh button, I waited for the page to load. When I didn’t think I could take it any longer, the screen changed, and my results now appeared. I let out a squeal as I jumped off the small couch that was in our dorm room.“I passed!” I yelled.“You act like this is a surprise. Obviously,

Izariah-Monday morning couldn’t come soon enough. I was already settled in my new dorm room, which I currently had to myself. I was told that my roommate had gone home for a family emergency and wouldn’t be back until later today. The only downside I have noticed about this school so far is how large it is. It was five times the size of my last school and the buildings looked like an older historical castle. Everything was modern and extravagant, but it had a creepy haunted house vibe.It wasn’t just one building, there were six main buildings, which were all similar in size and structure, along with many smaller buildings that looked like extensions of the main buildings. They all had their own unique charm to them; I just couldn’t get over the spookiness.I imagined it was going to take some time to adjust to the atmosphere here. Maybe the vibes I was getting were nothing more than just me feeling completely underqualified to be here. Since my arrival Saturday afternoon, I haven’t

Izariah-My morning class went by without a hitch. The other students didn’t bother me, and I liked the professor. I even managed to not worry about what Braxton had in store for me. However, I quickly learned that it was just temporary. The moment I stepped out of class, Braxton was standing out in the hall with the three guys I saw with him the first time. I didn’t know their names, but I had a feeling I was soon going to find out. Before I made it three feet outside of the classroom, they swarmed me like vultures.“Iza, what a coincidence to have run into you.” Braxton said with a gleam in his eyes and a smirk tilted on his lips.“You call this a coincidence? I have a feeling that you planned this. What do you want?” I in a snarky tone.“Just to walk you to your next class. We all take the same Masterclass.” He gave me a smile that I could tell was bogus. He did look good when he smiled, but I would much rather have him scowling at me. At least then I would not be tempted to think

Izariah-All throughout the class, I managed to ignore Braxton, even though he tried endlessly to get my attention. When class was dismissed, they were the first to leave. I thought it was strange how easily he gave up, but I didn’t let it bother me.With nothing else to do and no homework to worry about, I decided to head to the gym to get a workout in before heading to my dorm. I always tried to get as much exercise in as I could, being that I didn’t have my wolf to help protect me. If I was going to be able to stand up to bullies like Braxton, I had to keep my strength in.Tomorrow I would be able to start training with everyone, which I was looking forward to. Luckily, there was a gym near my dorm so I could grab a change of clothes I could work out in and my hygiene supplies. It took me a while to get there, being that my dorm and the gym were on the far side of campus. When I arrived, I was surprised that I was the only one there. When I entered the locker room, I found an empty

Braxton-I couldn’t stop laughing at seeing Izariah covered in red paint. If only I had stuck around long enough to see her reaction. Next time I think I might use blood, that way I can watch her freak out.Normally I didn’t pick on girls, but this one got under my skin, and I didn’t like it at all. It was time I stepped up my game. She needed to learn I wasn’t someone she could escape from. I give her one week and she will be on her knees asking me for forgiveness and begging me to stop.“I wish I could have seen it!” One of the three freshmen I recruited laughed.Normally I would have the other members of Ace of Clubs help, but they were currently busy with other things now. I also tended to recruit others to do my dirty work so I can sit back and watch. Some things I did on my own, while other times I wanted a front-row seat to watch the action. These three standing in front of me were some of the most idiotic werewolves I have met. They came from good families, but to me, they wer

Izariah-I woke up with a splitting headache, but that didn’t stop me from getting up and ready for my first class. Grabbing the coat that I got from Jace, I stuffed it inside a bag and headed out the door. Since I didn’t have an afternoon class, I would have a little bit of time to take his coat to get it cleaned.I had stayed up most of the night trying to get the red paint off it but failed. I was still annoyed about what happened yesterday, yet I woke up in a good mood, despite feeling like crap. While I had been trying to clean the coat, I found myself thinking that Jace wasn’t a bad guy, perhaps someone I could even be friends with.I only had to remind myself a hundred times that he was friends with the one person I hated the most. The more I thought about it, the more I became annoyed with Braxton. Who did he think he was?Not wanting to think about Braxton, I cleared my head and focused on getting to class. As I walked down the sidewalk that would lead me to class, I noticed

Braxton-“You went too far this time Braxton!” Jace shouted as he shoved open the door to our Clubhouse. Not bothering to ask what the hell he was talking about, I checked the time on my watch. I still had another hour before my first class, but I knew he was supposed to be in class right now. As I was still finishing getting ready, I returned to tying the laces on my shoes.“Why aren’t you in class?” I asked.“Do you have any idea what I just walked in on?” Jace continued to yell at me, even though I didn’t know what the hell crawled up his ass and died.“No, but I am sure you are going to enlighten me.” Not looking up from my shoes, I turned my attention to tying my other shoe.“Those little thugs you sent after Izariah, were about to rape her!” Jace stomped into the room, planting himself directly in front of me.That had my attention. My eyes snapped up and I was filled with anger. Even my wolf was on the verge of pushing through to force me to shift. Restraining my wolf, I stood

Braxton- “What are you doing home from school?" My mother’s tone was cold, but her eyes were colder. “The question is why are you here?” I asked as I walked past her and into the house. I didn’t have a good relationship with my mother, mostly because the only thing she cared about was her image. This is assumably the only reason she is scolding me right now. I would bet money on it. “Don’t try to change the subject and don’t walk away from me while I am talking to you.” Rolling my eyes as I kept walking, I slung my bag off my shoulder and tossed it to the butler that was standing near a small table in the middle of the foyer. I ignored her because I knew it annoyed her. Walking down the hall to the grand kitchen, I passed by the cook that was busy cooking. Since I didn’t alert the staff that I would be coming in today, it was likely my mother, that had the staff come in. Unless someone was present in the house, the only staff we kept available at all times was a maid and a few wa

Three Years Later Izariah- “Will you hurry up already? You don’t want to be late to your own graduation!” Rachel, my new best friend and Jace’s mate yelled from the front door of the house that I lived in with Braxton. After we officially moved to the pack, we stayed in the packhouse with his father for a bit. On the day of Braxton’s graduation, which had been two years ago, he surprised me with the keys to our own house. He explained that he hadn’t wanted to live with his father or in a house that had too many bad memories. “I am coming!” I yelled from the bathroom, where I was putting the finishing touches on my hair. As I inspected my reflection, I was reminded of the first day that I met Braxton. That morning I had been running late to class and my old friend and roommate had yelled at me to hurry. I had just barely made it in time to take my finals that day. I guess no matter how many things have changed from then until now, there were still some things that were never goin

Braxton- When we arrived at the lake, where her childhood best friend died, I wasn’t sure what I could do for her. I could sense she was hurting inside, as she experienced being back here. We were all standing in a group, near the lake, no one saying a word. When she started walking forward, I decided that this was something she was going to need to face on her own. Putting my arms out, I stopped the others from following her. If she looked back then I would join her, but her gaze remained on the center of the lake. “Just wait. If she needs us then we will be there for her, but I think the best thing for her is to support her from back here.” I explained. “Do you think that it will work? What if she is never able to shift?” Jace asked. “Then I will make sure I am always by her side to protect her.” I said with certainty. “Even without a wolf, I believe she is stronger than any of us realize.” Sebastian spoke in a faraway tone that made me glance at him. His eyes were focused on

Izariah- Taking a deep breath, I gathered my courage as I opened the car door. I barely had time to close the door before I rushed by Gwenna. She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. “I knew the moment I met you that we had a connection. I never would have suspected it is because you are my sister!” She exclaimed, speaking a little too loud in my ear for my liking. I was a little confused about how she already knew that I was her sister when I hadn’t spoken a word yet. Since I had been looking forward to this moment as well, I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her just as tight. Between her and the Alpha King, she was the one that I had been the most nervous about seeing. Meeting my biological father was scary, but it wasn’t like I needed a new father, as I already had one that I absolutely adored. Having a sister, on the other hand, was something I have always dreamed of. Seeing that she was just as thrilled with the idea, I relaxed. Not wanting to break the mom

Izariah- “Chill out, I am Millie’s boyfriend.” The man spoke in a tone that indicated that he didn’t care who I was or why I was here. “Don’t lie to me. Tell me who you are, now!” I demanded. With everything that was going on, he was the least of my problems. I have already dealt with enough, so I didn’t have time to deal with a little punk too. He was probably a few years older than me, and I could sense he was an Alpha, which didn’t explain why he was in my room. “I am not lying. If you don’t believe me, you can ask her yourself. She just left to get some ice cream, but she should be back any minute.” He said with a yawn as he leaned back and went back to playing a game on his phone like he had been doing when I entered. Not sure what to do at this moment, I shifted my weight from one foot to the other. He seemed harmless, but I still didn’t believe him. I knew Millie had a crush on Sebastian, so why was this dude claiming to be her boyfriend? Just then Sebastian barged into t

Izariah- The moment we drove through the gate that surrounded the territory; I was completely speechless. Eric, who had been driving the car, had to slow down to a crawl, as members of the pack surrounded us. It took me a moment to understand that they were all celebrating. “What is going on?” I asked, not sure what the reason was for all of this. “Two things. They are welcoming their future Luna and celebrating that their old Luna is no longer here.” Braxton answered. “Do they know it is me?” I asked. I didn’t need to ask why they were celebrating Tabitha being gone, as I am sure many hadn’t liked her. There were only a select few that knew what I was though. As far as everyone else was concerned, I was still a wolfless Omega that worked with the pack doctor. Granted, no one at the pack had cared or treated me terribly over it. There had been one group of teenage girls that had made a comment about it, but it hadn’t escalated. Braxton had been with me when I heard it and he had

Izariah- “I will grant you something, but it won’t be to find another mate. If I have learned anything, is that I don’t make mistakes twice. You have shown me that you are undeserving of love, for you don’t know the meaning of love.” As my mother speaks, she walks closer to Tabitha. “I did love them!” Tabitha yells, but my mother is unfazed by her outburst. “The fact that you think that is love, shows me that I can’t allow you to love another soul. It would be wrong of me to torment anyone with the kind of love that you have to offer. No. Instead of that, I will give you something else.” My mother places her fingers against her chin and taps them a few times, appearing to be deep in thought. “What are you going to do? I promise I won’t cause anyone any more trouble if you just let me go.” By now Tabitha looked truly scared. “And what? Allow you to roam free and give you the chance to not repent for your actions? Even if I allow you to go free, you still won’t learn anything.” She

Braxton- Seeing my father enter the room, I was a little confused about why he was here. My eyes moved to Izariah, who didn’t seem surprised at all. Moving my attention back to him, I hoped that he was here to help and not to make things worse. “My love, what are you doing here?” My mother asked innocently. “Save it. I heard everything just now.” My father growled as he stomped toward her. “You don’t understand, it isn’t like that.” The panic in my mother’s voice revealed that if there was one person in this world, she both loved and feared, it was my father. My earlier assumption that she was in control of their relationship was wrong. Now that I thought about it, it had simply been my father giving in to my mother because of his love for her. I completely understood because I would do the same for Iza. Not that I would have to worry about that, because I doubted there was a single bad cell in her body. It was also apparent that my father hadn’t known about the things my mother

Izariah- “I was wrong, I won’t do it again. Please give me another chance. If I had known she was the daughter of the Moon Goddess, I wouldn’t have tried to break them up.” Braxton’s mother pleaded with my mother. “Do you honestly believe that I care? It shouldn’t matter who someone is. All that matters is that they love each other. I chose your son for my daughter, not because of who his family is or how much money he came from. I did it because I knew they would be good for each other. If we only based someone’s standing on if they were good enough, then do you think I would allow my daughter to be with someone when his mother is so awful? Despite your beliefs, I don’t think someone’s past will define who they are.” “Then you can understand that I was only doing what I thought was best for my son. I love him and I want him to succeed in life.” Luna Tabitha seemed to have given up pleading with the Moon Goddess, as she met her gaze with unwavering certainty. “Best for him?” My bi

Izariah- Unfiltered strength flowed through me, not only mine but Braxton’s as well. Had I known that having Braxton mark me would awaken my wolf, I would have let him do it sooner. Not only had I unlocked my Goddess abilities, but I have a wolf. I still had a bit to go before I could fully be who I was meant to be, but right now none of that mattered. I would figure it out in time and once I could let go of my fear of water, I knew I would be able to shift into my wolf. My birth mother had been right, but now I knew it. Full of confidence and brimming with untapped power, I held Braxton’s hand in mine as I stepped around him. The look of shock and then anger that passed over his mother’s face was everything I had hoped for and more. When she came in and assumed that he had marked Gwenna, I couldn’t wait to prove her wrong. No longer did I fear her. Compared to me, she was nothing more than a power-hungry werewolf that couldn’t hurt me or Braxton any longer. Her threats were meani
