"Good morning everyone. I am Gabriel Moretti. You can consider me as your solicitor for today. I also happened to be Luke's best friend. We have been friends since the day we were born," Gabriel began his talk. He was standing with a swimming pool in the background and he was holding the contract that is supposed to be signed by Luke and Ruby. While Ruby and Mia were sitting on the bar stools and Luke was filling in his glass of whisky with ice cubes. He had taken off from work today, so he could drink all he wanted.
They all had gathered at Gabriel's house the next day after Luke and Ruby agreed on the proposition. Luke had promised to contact her as soon as the contract was ready. But she did not know that Luke would be this quick. He had called her late at night to inform her about today's plan. He had picked Ruby and Mia first thing in the morning and drove to Gabriel's house. Gabriel was generous enough to offer the space to discuss and sign the contract at his place because Luke's house and office are very dangerous places as there would be no privacy and it is filled with tons of spies that secretly works for Luke's stepmother, Anna.
“Too much information, dude. Anyone can guess you two are best friends since you stick together a lot,” Mia said, making Luke smirk at her words. He had no doubt that Ruby and Mia shared the same bond and friendship that he and Gabriel share.
Gabriel smirked at Mia, “Of course, just like you two.” Mia could not help but smile at him. It seemed like they shared a different kind of chemistry. Luke and Ruby paid no attention to this exchange. They were engrossed in their own worlds of thoughts.
Ruby got off from the seat and walked towards the bar to get something to drink. Earlier when Gabriel had offered she had refused but now she was thirsty and in need of some drinks. Luke noticed her and said, “No alcohol.” Ruby gave him a stern look which translated to I know that. Luke raised his hands in surrender and went back to his drinks.
“So, shall I read the contract loud and clear to everyone?” Gabriel asked and everyone nodded their heads in agreement. The contract was the main agenda anyway.
Gabriel cleared his throat before speaking, “There is a lot of legal stuff and you two can read that on your own. I will just talk about the important stuff.”
“1. Luke Sawyer and Ruby Bakers, who are to be parents soon agree to co-parent their kid. And promise to spare time from their schedules to go through the pregnancy together and be a hands on parents when the baby arrives. And they are expected to be responsible parents.
With that, Gabriel completed reading the terms and went towards the bar to grab a drink for himself. Luke sat there, simply staring at Ruby’s face. She listened to all the terms very intently. And Luke wondered what was running inside her head. He had particularly asked this personal advocate to keep the terms simple and neat. He did not want to complicate things between them.
Mia leaned towards Ruby and whispered, “The terms sound pretty good. If anything, it is more on your side.” Ruby nodded her head in agreement, "I know right. And I can't believe that I am even considering doing this."
"Chill, it is going to be fine. Remember I will always be there for you no matter what," Mia tried to ease Ruby’s tensions. Mia was actually glad that Luke was taking initiative to make things work for himself and as well as Ruby. He was being a real gentleman if anything.
Ruby walked towards Luke and tried to grab the pen from him but he pulled away for a second. He was already waiting for her. Gabriel smiled at the new parents to be and made his way towards Mia.
"You sure?" Luke asked Ruby one last time before they both jumped into their agreement. Ruby swallowed the saliva secreted in her throat and said, "Yes, I am sure." Luke smiled at her warmly for the first time. He signed the papers first and then handed the pen and papers to her. Ruby closed her eyes once to calm herself. She then took the pen from Luke's hand and signed the contract.
Gabriel looked at Luke and Ruby and smiled to himself. The new couple had signed the contract and Gabriel only hoped that they would be successful with it.
"You are smiling," Mia commented. Gabriel turned to her, "I am just happy to become an uncle soon."
Mia could not control the chuckle that left her mouth, "I can't wait to be an aunt either."
Gabriel smirked at her, realizing they were on the same boat, "So, do you have a boyfriend?"
"What if I have?" Mia challenged him. She was curious to know this handsome friend of Luke's.
Gabriel's smirk grew only wider, "Not that it matters if you truly have a boyfriend. I think I am going to sweep you off your feet anyway."
Ruby moaned out loudly while leaving heavy breaths, "Ah… Luke…"Luke seemed to be too immersed in kissing and sucking her neck. The young couple were now at their honeymoon destination. And Luke could not wait until they reached their hotel room. As soon as they got into the elevator, Luke let his inner desire take over him."Oh, Ruby, you are so beautiful," Luke said as his hand traced her waistline. He held her waist tightly and pulled her towards him. His hard dick touched her front.Ruby licked her lips, "You are so hard," she whispered.Luke leaned down and bit her lower lip, "You are the reason for it."The elevator dinged, making them aware that their floor had arrived.
The two days from the day Alexander announced the wedding was a roller coaster ride for everyone. Orlando was busy arranging the wedding set up at the rose garden of the Sawyer Estate. Andrea took care of the catering service and menus. Gia and Mia helped Ruby find the right dress for the wedding. Although Gia was heavily pregnant and her baby would be born anytime soon. Gabriel and Leo took the responsibility of inviting the very important guests. David took care of things at the office. Alexander simply enjoyed the time with his great grandson, baby Alex. He was very much of a hands on great grandfather, who took baby Alex on morning strolls and fed him and played with him and napped with him.It was the wedding day morning and everyone at the Sawyer Estate was busy running around making last minute arrangements. As usual, Alexander was with his great grandson, baby Alex. "Now, little boy,
Alexander had gathered everyone at the Sawyer Estate saying that he had something important to discuss. That one last matter he has to settle for everything to fall into its places. Gabriel was the last one to arrive at the estate. He seemed to be still in a hangover as the boys had partied last night. It has been four months since baby Alex was born. And the young parents had barely gotten time for themselves. So the boys and girls had divided into two groups and enjoyed themselves.Alexander made a disappointed noise in his tongue and shook his head after seeing Gabriel’s state. Gabriel looked up at Alexander with blinking eyes, “What is it, Grandpa Sawyer? Why have you gathered everyone first thing in the morning? Are you perhaps reading your will or something? If so, what are you giving me? I have worked so hard in the past one year like I have never worked in my life.”
Ruby groaned and breathed heavily. She had been having concurrent contractions for the last fifteen minutes but she was trying her best to not freak out. She held the bedspread tightly and left out a heavy moan. Her voice was pretty loud this time and that woke Luke up. He turned around and saw her in distress, “Ruby! Ruby! Are you okay?” he asked anxiously.Ruby sighed and leaned her head back, shaking her head, “I can’t… It is paining Luke. I think the baby is ready to come out.” Luke immediately bent down and checked her dress to check if any water leaked and there it was. He moved upwards and faced Ruby, “Relax, Ok. So, your water has broken. We just have to reach the hospital now. I will wake up mom and dad. And also get the car ready and get you. Stay here and I will come back soon.”Luke jumped out of the
"Your honor, my clients, Luke Sawyer, the CEO of the Sawyer Corporation and his fiancé, Ruby Bakers have accused Anna Cyprus and Robert Cyprus of money laundering from the his company and also the murder of Ruby's parents. So, we are here to debug the cases of Anna Cyprus and Robert Cyprus laundering money from the Sawyer Corporation for over 15 years and also their illegal drug shipment and selling cases. And the last charges for the murder of Christopher Bakers and Danielle Bakers."The opening statement sent chills to Anna and Robert. It was not because of the accusations regarding the money and drugs. But it was related to Ruby's parents. They were too dumb to realize that Ruby had the same last names as the people they murdered. And Robert on hand was way too dumber for leaving the newborn with a name, Ruby Bakers, and totally forgot about it for all these years.
The loud siren sound echoed in the woods. And it was not that far away from Anna hearing it. She jolted awake as soon as she heard the siren sound. She knew this might happen at any time but she was not expecting it to be this right away. She surely had prepared herself with the help of all the top attorneys that Madeleine had brought. But it still scared the shit out of her to be facing it. She quickly jumped out of the bed and ran to take a quick shower and get ready. To Anna Cyprus, her looks mattered even when she was expecting to be taken for investigation.By the time Anna had a quick shower and got ready, there were multiple knocks and continuous door bell ringing. She gracefully climbed the stairs down and unlocked the door. On the other side of the door stood two cops, one of whom she recognized from the other day at the Sawyer Estate.“Yes?&rdqu
