I was not surprised when my phone rang on my way back home and I saw that it was Landon calling.

“Yes?” I questioned when I picked it up.

“Let’s meet.”

I raised an eyebrow, even if he couldn’t see me. “What for?”

“We have a lot to talk about.”

I scoffed. I was hoping to reach out to him sometime soon, but, “You tried to kill me.”

“You tried to kill me too.”

“Only because you attacked me first, you bozo.”

Landon sighed. “Still, we have a lot of shit to talk about. I’ll send you the address. Come alone.”

I scoffed. “That doesn’t sound suspicious at all.”

“I’ll be waiting.”

When he hung up, he sent the address, which was in the opposite direction of my house so I made a U-turn, calling Brielle first to let her know I wouldn’t be picking her up. After that, I called Andrei and sent him the address Landon sent to me.

I was not afraid of him but I was not stupid enough to go there alone, knowing it could be a trap. After Andrei promised he and the men would be inconspicuo
