Chapter 81

Atasha's POV

I saw relief in Conrad's eyes when Veronica's heart started beating again.

Tears fell from my eyes while watching the monitor and seeing Conrad happy.

I watched him walk towards Veronica's bed. He held her hands and softly caressed them.

I saw in my peripheral vision that Sebastian is looking at me so I turned my head to him and simply nod.

Sebastian talked to Conrad first for a few minutes before walking towards me.

"How is she?" I asked the moment he reached me.

"We still have to monitor her condition. If she didn't wake up within 24 hours there is a possibility that she will fall into a coma," he said. I felt heaviness in my chest when I heard that but I still believe that Veronica can make it.

"She will wake up," I said filled with hope.

Sebastian let out a deep breath and then nod his head.

"I am hoping she will," he said then tapped my shoulder before walking away.

The hospital is too busy so even though I can see on his face that he wanted to stay he chose to leav
