Chapter 7. Have you hugged enough?

Shu Ni never expected that the so-called token of trust her father gave to the Yan family was actually the gift she received when she was young.

Because the time was so long ago, Shu Ni could no longer remember what the big brother who gave her the jade pendant looked like.

She only remembered that the older brother accidentally dropped the jade pendant into a dry deep well, and because the well mouth was too narrow, he had no way to go down to pick it up.

He was extremely anxious. Even though he knew he couldn't get down, he still kept drilling into the well. Both of his arms were scratched and bloody by the rough well wall.

She was passing by and was shocked by the bloody scene. After watching for a long time, she mustered up the courage to ask, "How about letting me try?"

The older brother pursed his lips tightly and looked at her for a long time before saying, "This well is very deep and dark down there. There may be snakes."

After all, she was a newborn calf, so she said without thinking, "I'm not afraid!"

She was still young and had a small frame, so her shoulders could just fit through the narrowest part of the well.

The well was about ten meters deep. With the help of a long rope and the guidance of her older brother, she completed the first adventure of her life.

When she came out of the well, the back of her hands and calves were also scratched.

Her skin was very white and blood was oozing out, which looked even more shocking than his wounds, but she felt no pain.

She smiled and handed the jade pendant to her older brother. The corner that was broken was also broken at that time.

At the time she also said, "It fell on the mud, it didn't fall very hard."

The jade pendant was obviously a precious item. The older brother held it tightly in his palm. When she was about to go home, he stuffed the jade pendant into her hand and said stiffly, "This is for you."

Shu Ni refused, but his attitude was firm. While hanging the jade pendant around her neck, he asked her, "Will you come tomorrow?"

"Come on!" Shu Ni replied quickly.

A look flashed across his face, but he said nothing.

Unfortunately, Shu Ni did not show up in the end.

Because her sister fell ill that night.

Immersed in distant memories, Shu Ni held the jade pendant in a daze, while Yan Junci also stared at the broken corner of the jade pendant, with obscure emotions flashing in his eyes.

When talking about deceased relatives, the atmosphere became depressing. Jiang Yin suppressed her emotions and suggested , "Ni Ni, come with me outside to bask in the sun. It's a good opportunity to talk."

There were many exotic flowers and plants planted in the Yan family's backyard. Just after crossing the stone path, Shu Ni vaguely heard the shrill cry of a cat.

Jiang Yin obviously heard it too. They followed the sound and soon found the ragdoll cat struggling in the swimming pool.

"Oh, it's San'er!"

There were no sticks or anything like that around, so Shu Ni became anxious and lay down on the edge of the pool, stretching out her arms to try to get it back.

The cat was already frightened, and the more it struggled, the further away it got from the shore.

Jiang Yin was extremely anxious and told her to be careful, then ran back into the house to find help.

Shu Ni was equally anxious. Seeing the wet sleeves sticking tightly to her arms, she suddenly had an idea and thought of a way to have the best of both worlds.

When Jiang Yin led the two men out, Shu Ni had already jumped into the swimming pool, holding her cat in her arms.

The outdoor swimming pool is not as good as the heated swimming pool. Jiang Yin felt so distressed. "My Ni Ni, why are you so impulsive? Even if you want to jump into the swimming pool, you should let a man do it!"

Shu Ni handed the shivering cat to Yan Hanyu, "I'm fine."

As she expected, Yan Hanyu picked up the cat and ran into the house without even looking at her.

Yan Junci stepped forward and pulled her out of the swimming pool . Seeing that she was soaked, he took off his coat and put it on her shoulders.

Shu Ni thanked him in a low voice, her voice trembling with coldness, and she deliberately slipped her feet.

The two of them were already close to each other, and no matter how agile Yan Junci was, he couldn't hold her steady in time.

When that delicate body crashed into his arms, his back stiffened, obviously not used to such intimate contact.

The soaked top clung to her body, outlining her curves to perfection.

Although Shu Ni acted boldly and eccentrically, she couldn't help feeling shy when her body appeared so exposed in front of the opposite sex.

The blush on her cheeks spread to her ears, and she buried her face in Yan Junci's chest, at a loss for a moment.

Just when she was at a loss, Yan Junci's voice came from above her head.

"Have you hugged enough?"

Hearing this, Shu Ni lowered her head and took a half step back, her knuckles turning white from grabbing the coat with so much force.

She has sacrificed her chastity like this, why does this man seem to be unmoved?

After instructing the kitchen to prepare ginger soup, Jiang Yin hurried back and took Shu Ni to the guest bedroom to take a shower and change clothes, without noticing anything wrong with the two of them.

After taking a nice hot bath, Shu Ni finally recovered.

Her face was steamed red, and she put on a bathrobe that didn't fit her well, and huddled in the corner of the bed, thinking about random things.

Although it was a long time ago, Shu Ni couldn't have mistaken the jade pendant. She knew the origin of the jade pendant better than anyone else, so her engagement with Yan Hanyu must have been fabricated!

If this was true, she would never allow herself to become an accomplice to this scam and deceive the kind and pitiful old man for her own selfish interests.

This time I really have to find a way to cancel the engagement with Yan Hanyu!

However, once the Yan family finds out that the so-called engagement is fake, will they let it go?

When my thoughts were at their most confused, there was a knock on the door.

Thinking that it was the servant bringing in the dried clothes, Shu Ni went to open the door without thinking.

As soon as I opened the door a crack, someone outside grabbed the door handle and said, "It's me."

It's a familiar voice.

Realizing that she was not even wearing any underwear, Shu Ni couldn't help but lean towards the door.

Although this man spoke coldly and often had a sour face, he was still well-mannered and graceful.

His voice came through the two-finger-wide gap in the door, "Do you need to ask your family doctor to come and see me?"

"No need." Shu Ni replied, "I'm fine."

"OK."

After saying that, Yan Junci was about to close the door and leave.

Shu Ni called him, "Wait!"
