**Pov Cassandra**

The doctor had just examined me and said that I would be fine as long as I rested for a few more days. Johanna and Jennie were visibly relieved; they had cared for me tirelessly over the past three days. Although there were still purplish bruises on my body, the pain was no longer unbearable. My wolf, Roxy, was exhausted, constantly sleeping, and I could barely communicate with her. I knew she was using all her energy to heal me from the injuries and the pain, but I also knew her power was limited by the choice I had made in the past.

"I’m so happy you’re recovering," Jennie said, her voice full of excitement, as she handed me a bowl of hot soup.

"Don’t bother her, Jennie. Let the girl rest!" Johanna scolded her, casting an irritated look at Jennie, who, as always, insisted on visiting and helping me at every moment. Johanna believed Jennie was being inconvenient, infringing on my privacy.
