**POV: Cassandra**
Sebastian rushed to us, his eyes widening at the sight of Emily covered in blood and the knife in my hands. He pushed me away from her, his gaze filled with anger. She had orchestrated everything perfectly: the white dress, the knife, the blood. I knew she wouldn’t be stupid enough to seriously harm herself, but the tight white dress made it look like she was losing liters of blood.
“Cassandra, what have you done?” he shouted, holding Emily in his arms. She seemed to be weakening, unable to stand.
“No, Sebastian, it’s not what it looks like! She… she did this to herself! She wanted to frame me!” I tried to explain, but my voice was trembling and the words came out confused. At that moment, Emily opened her eyes one last time, as if bidding farewell, and whispered:
“Alpha… I swear I tried to make amends with her, for our family, but she had a fit of jealousy when she saw me in a wedding dress. She ruined my dress and even tried to kill me.” Emily whispered with a faltering voice and then pretended to faint.
Everyone around us became concerned, thinking Emily had completely lost consciousness and needed to be hospitalized. But I had witnessed what she was capable of doing to get what she wanted.
Sebastian looked at me with contempt, not believing a word I said. “You’ve gone too far, Cassandra. This cannot continue. Your sick jealousy nearly killed my mate. From now on, you will be confined to the dungeon with no permission to leave. Neither water nor food will be provided to you for a week. That will be your punishment.”
He pushed me forcefully, making me fall to the floor on my back. “Guards!” he shouted, and two wolves entered the kitchen, looking at me with indifference.
“Take her to the east wing. Make sure she has no contact with anyone, and anyone who dares to feed Luna will be killed!” Sebastian ordered, his voice cold and indifferent.
At that moment, my false mother, Johanna, entered the kitchen. Seeing the blood-stained floor and Emily sprawled in Sebastian’s arms, she advanced towards me, her eyes filled with hatred.
“You ungrateful girl, you had the audacity to try to kill your sister after I raised you all these years. I should have killed you when you were still a child!” she shouted, every word laced with venom as she hit me.
Johanna continued to slap me, delivering kicks and punches to my body. I had no strength to defend myself, only feeling the impact of each blow. Every word, every hit dragged me deeper into despair.
“This is for betraying my trust, Cassandra!” she screamed, her voice filled with hatred. “You were never anything but a burden!”
The guards finally intervened, dragging me away as I futilely tried to protect myself. At that moment, the pack’s doctor and a nurse entered the kitchen, witnessing the brutality of the scene.
“Please stop!” the doctor pleaded, approaching Sebastian. “Even if Luna Cassandra has done something terrible, she shouldn’t be sent to the dungeon. She still has remnants of placenta that haven’t been expelled after the miscarriage she suffered,” the doctor explained urgently. “Leaving her in these conditions could condemn her to death. She needs medical care and urgent surgical intervention.”
Sebastian hesitated for a moment, his gaze shifting between Emily, who seemed weakly unconscious in his arms, and me, lying on the bloodied floor. It was then that Johanna grabbed his arm and said, “That’s not true, Alpha. The doctor and the nurse are saying this just to protect Luna. Please, my eldest daughter is a murderer who tried to kill your mate. Do justice for Emily!” Johanna caressed Emily’s hair, who stirred slightly, pretending to be weak and helpless.
“Take her to the dungeon,” Sebastian finally ordered, his voice still cold and authoritative.
“Alpha…” the doctor murmured, surprised by Sebastian’s decision, who had been excited about the arrival of the twins just a few weeks ago.
“Cassandra must remain in isolation, without water or food for seven days. If she survives that long, then she may receive medical treatment. But first, she needs to learn from her mistakes!” he snarled impatiently, carrying Emily in his arms.
---
“But... Alpha...” the nurse said nervously, seeing my condition.
“Are you questioning me, nurse?” Sebastian narrowed his eyes, his Alpha authority imposing itself. “My decision is absolute, and anyone who dares to contradict me will be killed!” he said seriously.
“Yes, Alpha…” everyone replied in unison.
“Remain silent if you don’t want to die!” I heard the doctor whispering in the nurse’s ear, forcing her to accept the situation.
As he carried Emily out of the kitchen, the guards forcibly lifted me, dragging me out of the room while I sobbed, feeling my heart shatter. Sebastian’s cruelty was unimaginable. Emily had likely done this with the intention of making him reject me and finally make her the Luna of the pack. Unfortunately, he thought that locking me in the dungeon and seeing me writhe in pain every time he had sex with her in our room would be a worse punishment.
Arriving at the dungeon, I was thrown onto the cold, damp floor like a filthy animal. Chains were fastened to my wrists and ankles, and the door slammed shut with a deafening clang. The silence that followed was oppressive, but I couldn’t allow myself to crumble. I needed to find strength, even if it was my last, to fight against the injustice surrounding me.
I closed my eyes, trying to breathe deeply despite the pain. The image of Sebastian holding Emily, the anger on his face, and Johanna’s cold words echoed in my mind. I knew I had to be strong, but I was completely devastated inside.
“Luna... Cassandra...” I heard Amber’s voice, and when I turned, she was disguised with a black hood so the guards wouldn’t recognize her.
“What are you doing here? You could get into trouble trying to help me,” I murmured, signaling her to let me rot in this place for the seven days.
“Luna, please, we need to do something. You won’t last long like this,” Amber said, her voice full of concern as she saw my real condition. She couldn’t bear hearing me moan in pain and seeing the blood dripping from my body.
“You’re right, Amber...” I whispered, breathless. “We need to find the witch Ursula. Only she will be able to help me now!”
Amber nodded, determined. “I’ll do whatever it takes, Luna. I’ll find the witch Ursula for you.” She said, holding my hands tightly through the bars to comfort me.
Sebastian had tightened security throughout the pack since Emily’s arrival at our home. His dominance as Alpha was absolute over me; I had neither the permission nor the strength to challenge him. Amber approached and administered the medication that the doctor and the nurse had secretly given her. When I felt the needle piercing my skin and the liquid being released into my bloodstream, I thanked God for still having people who cared about me.
My only hope was Ursula, who had once favored me. How could I have imagined being betrayed by the only people I thought I could trust? I had done everything to protect my family since my father’s death, and now I was bedridden, suffering from relentless pain every day.
“I swear by my life, as soon as I find Ursula, Sebastian, Emily, and my mother, I will make them all pay!” I gasped before surrendering to the medication and falling into a deep sleep.
**POV: Cassandra**“Quickly, can’t you see she’s in pain?” the doctor said, noticing my pale face and clenched jaw from the pain. The nurse immediately injected my arm with the needle, and after a long time, the morphine began to take effect, but the relief was temporary and insufficient. Days passed quickly, and I had been trapped in that dungeon for more than seven days. The remnants of the placenta still hadn’t been expelled completely, and I could die from an infection at any moment. The pack’s doctor wanted to perform an emergency intervention, but Emily, as usual, sabotaged every plan to make me suffer. She made a point of having sex every night with Sebastian in our room, preventing any attempts at nighttime surgery and intensifying my pain to the point where I could only survive on strong painkillers like morphine. As if being beaten every time she slept with him wasn’t enough, she also made a point of taunting me daily.“I’m sorry, Luna, but I can only give you another inject
**Cassandra's POV**"Bind her and tie her to the horse!" he ordered through clenched teeth, his eyes locked on me, full of hatred.A large brown wolf, marked by a scar crossing his left eye, threw the shackles to the ground. Other men hurried to put them on my wrists. The moment my hands touched the cold metal, I felt a searing pain, as if my skin were burning. I took a deep breath, biting my lower lip to stifle a scream. The shackles were polished silver, and I knew the walk to the pack would be long and excruciating. Under the scorching sun, the silver would burn my skin until it was raw."Take the prisoner and deliver the contract directly to Alpha Sebastian!" the man in polished armor ordered firmly. I looked back as I was pulled away, feeling a tear silently roll down my face."This is the contract I enforce with all the packs under my domain. Clause 14 stipulates that if the contract is violated, I can take whatever I want and eliminate whomever I desire!" he declared with a cru
**Cassandra's POV**"Hurry! Bring the basin with medicated water!" A shrill and hostile voice echoed through the room, forcing me to open my eyes. When I tried to move, I suddenly realized he was right in front of me. His polished armor gleamed under the dim light, and a black mask covered his face, hiding his expressions but not the aura of power that emanated from him."Let me do it!" he responded brusquely, snatching the cloth from the trembling maid's hands. With a swift motion, he stretched the cloth towards me, apparently to place it on my feverish forehead. When his hands rose to touch my skin, I instinctively recoiled, my body shrinking in fear. I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing for more pain."Stupid girl, I'm trying to bring down your fever!" he growled impatiently, huffing in frustration before throwing the wet cloth on me carelessly.I swallowed hard, feeling the lump in my throat. He began pacing back and forth in the room, his boots echoing heavily on the floor. There wer
**Xavier's POV**She could barely move, her body trembling more intensely as I pressed her arm against mine. I could feel her weakness, but also the intensity of fear and hatred emanating from her."So, you know who I am," she whispered, her voice trembling, as a solitary tear slid down her pain-marked face."How could I forget you?" I murmured, my lips dangerously close to hers. Inside me, my wolf growled, eager to claim her, but I forced myself to stay in control, not giving in to the temptation to act impulsively."So, you came after me... to collect my father's debt," she said, her voice weak and downcast. The despair was evident in her eyes, but it was soon replaced by intense anger. "How can you be so cruel?" she screamed, pushing me with all the strength she could muster. I stepped back, feeling the impact of the disdain in her gaze. "My father needed that medicine for my mother. She was sick, and my sister was very young at the time. Everything he did was to save her, but you.
**Cassandra's POV**When he left my room, a shiver ran down my spine. His presence was more oppressive than I had imagined. Xavier was not just cold and authoritarian; there was something darker behind his eyes, something that made me feel my time in this place would be even harder than I feared."Please, miss, take your medicine!" insisted the maid, handing me a few pills and a glass of water.I swallowed the pills all at once. They were large, difficult to swallow, but I was already used to taking medicine to stay alive—a habit since the day Sebastian locked me in that dungeon."That's good," the young maid commented, relieved. "Now eat. The doctor said you need to recover. We were all worried that you might not make it!" She offered me a plate of soup, her eyes shining with sympathy. "By the way, my name is Jennie.""How many days was I unconscious?" I asked, surprised by the news.Jennie hesitated, biting her lower lip as if considering whether or not to tell me the truth. "Well..
**Xavier's POV**I walked slowly toward my office, each step heavy with the weight of the emotions consuming me. I knew there were important contracts and papers to review, both that afternoon and the next morning, but the anger and frustration clouding my mind made it nearly impossible to concentrate. As I approached the door, the familiar smell of whiskey filled the air, a clear indication that my beta was there, waiting for me. He was sitting in one of the chairs beside me, with one of my favorite bottles already open. He was probably waiting for me to finalize the deals we had discussed last week."How is she?" he asked, raising his eyebrows in my direction, the curiosity evident in his eyes as I entered."Stable," I replied, trying to keep my voice controlled, but unable to hide the dark shadow that colored it. "The doctor said she'll need rest for a few days and medication for at least a month. I don't know how she managed to survive in this state," I murmured, my hands clenchin
**POV Alpha Xavier**I thrust deeper into her, increasing the friction between our bodies as Jade moaned wildly in my ear. Her hands gripped my shoulders tightly, her fingers sliding down my bare back, making sure to leave her marks as she scratched my skin while I penetrated her with more intensity.I repositioned Jade on the table in my office, her breath heavy and echoing through the room. I was lost in the heat of the moment when I heard knocking on the door, followed by noises that seemed distant, almost unreal in the midst of lust."Forget it! Keep doing what you're doing!" Jade pleaded, biting her lower lip as she writhed in pleasure. Her voice carried a mixture of desperation and desire, a sound that would normally have encouraged me to continue without a second thought.I smiled, my mouth finding one of her breasts, sucking on it forcefully while stimulating her with my fingers. However, something made me uneasy. The knocking on the door continued, more insistent now, and for
**POV Cassandra**I remember staring at her, trying to find something to say, but the words simply wouldn’t come. It was as if my voice had been ripped away along with the dignity that Jade was destroying before me. An overwhelming tightness seized my chest when I saw Alpha Xavier intertwine his fingers tightly with hers, a gesture of possession that cut me deeply."Guards! Get this filthy slave out of here! She’s interrupting us!" the Alpha roared angrily, his voice resonating with a low, threatening growl. I felt his wolf emerge briefly, while Jade, with a satisfied smile, rested her head on his chest, as if savoring my humiliation.Within seconds, two huge guards appeared, and before I could react, one of them grabbed my arm, dragging me down the hallway, while the other yanked on my long dark hair, their curses echoing in my ears with every step I took.As they dragged me down the long corridor, the sound of Jade and Xavier’s moans echoed through the halls, now louder, more brazen
