**POV: Cassandra**

"Cassie, where is that useless girl?" I heard a deep voice sound behind the door, which was opened abruptly. "Oh my God, Luna Katy, I'm so sorry; I had no idea you were still here..." The head maid smiled awkwardly, glaring at me. "I'm sorry; I didn’t raise this maid well. I told her not to disturb you; all she had to do was serve the tea and leave, but she is so nosy, you know? Poor thing is an orphan, has no pack, abandoned by her family; she still hasn't learned her place in this pack!" The head maid said harshly, grabbing my arm angrily and dragging me toward the door with brutality.

"Let go of me; you're hurting me!" I retorted, trying to make her release my arm, but she just dug her nails into my skin, making me let out a slight groan of pain.

"You useless girl, I'm going to teach you a lesson; you'll never disobey me again. Don't worry, Luna Katy, I'm going to teach this ill-mannered maid not to bother you with nonsense ever again!" The head maid growled angr

**Alpha Xavier's POV**Ever since Cassandra left, all I do is drown myself in alcohol. The bottle is my only companion, and any motivation for anything seems to have disappeared along with her. My beta, Josh, keeps insisting that I go after the witch Ursula to find the damn document, but I’ve already sent soldiers, and they all came back empty-handed. Now, every effort seems pointless."Alpha... how are you?"Josh asked as soon as he entered the room, his gaze immediately going to the glass of liquor I was holding and the almost empty bottle beside me.How do you think I am?"I snarled, without taking my eyes off the amber liquid. "When you leave, close the door. I don’t want to hear Jade’s hysterical screams. My head is about to explode..." I pointed toward the door, irritated, while he placed yet another pile of papers on my desk.I looked at that pile as if it were a death sentence. Contracts, documents, agreements... papers that serve the plan that is in progress, but that now seem

POV Alpha XavierJosh took a deep breath, avoiding direct eye contact. He pressed his fingers to his bleeding lip and, with forced calm, replied:“Cassandra isn’t worthy of your love,” he spat the words like venom, his tone firm but full of frustration. “You need to reject her, Xavier. Get her out of your heart and move on. You can’t throw away everything we’ve fought for because of one girl!”He took a step toward the door, grabbing his coat in a quick, brusque movement, but before leaving, he continued:“The people out there, the men who fight for you... they all believe in you. They trust that you can save them from that tyrant. Even your uncle believed in you, your aunt too. But would you rather throw it all away for one girl?” He growled in anger, his gaze fixed on the ground as he tried to control his frustration. His words cut like blades. I knew he was right, but the idea of forgetting Cassandra, of just leaving her behind as if she meant nothing, consumed me from the inside o

**POV Cassandra**I remember waking up this morning, exhausted after spending the last four days by Luna Katy’s side. She was meticulous with the details — and when I made mistakes, her punishment was to lock me in a dark room, leaving me alone for hours, as if I were a child in time-out. But strangely, she never raised her voice at me. Despite the exhaustion and strictness, Katy maintained an air of kindness... Yet, deep down, I sensed something was wrong. She was too curious, always trying to pry into my past, as if she were suspicious or expecting to uncover some hidden truth."Cassie, dear, you’ve never told me about your parents," she said with a sharp sweetness, crossing her legs as I served her a cup of tea. "Tell me more about them... and how you became a rogue wolf."My throat went dry instantly, but I forced myself to smile, my hand steady as I placed the tea on the table. I had to think fast."Well, they died when I was very young," I lied, trying to keep my voice soft. "I

Pov CassandraShe smiled again, that malicious smile that always made me uncomfortable. Slowly, I saw Katy pull something from inside the sleeve of her dress—a small glass vial. My eyes immediately fixated on the clear liquid inside it. It looked harmless, but I knew that, coming from her, nothing was ever that simple.“I want you to put this in the Alpha King’s drink tonight.” Her hand extended, the vial glinting under the soft light of the room. I took it, though my fingers were trembling. My thoughts were racing. What was this? Why me? What would it do to him?"Don’t worry," Katy said, interrupting my thoughts as if she had already sensed the hesitation on my face. "It won’t kill him."I looked at her, trying to steady the tremor in my voice. "What... what is this?"“It’s just a remedy,” she said calmly, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. “It will help him sleep better. The Alpha King has many nightmares at night, you know? He refuses to take medicine; he’s stubborn.

Every word came out shakily, and my entire body seemed to freeze under his gaze. “I have no intention of hurting you!” I quickly added, my throat dry with nervousness.I felt the grip on my neck loosen, but relief was quickly replaced by a deep chill as I looked into his eyes. Red, glowing with rage, the eyes of a wolf on the verge of attacking. His deep growl echoed through the room, and his sharp fangs glistened in the firelight. He wasn’t just angry; he was on the brink of tearing me apart.“Eat!” he ordered, the word reverberating through the air like thunder. His eyes, hard and merciless, didn’t blink as he pointed to the plate in front of me.My hands shook so much that I nearly dropped the spoon. I scooped a large amount of food and, without thinking twice, shoved it into my mouth. I chewed quickly, as if my life depended on it – and maybe i

POV Cassandra"Why would I miss that piece of shit?" he growled with wild fury, standing up so forcefully that everything on the table was knocked over. The objects flew, scattering across the floor, but he didn’t seem to care. "My father... the man everyone revered, never found me worthy of taking the throne." His laughter was bitter, mocking, and though he tried to hold back, it was obvious that the anger was about to explode. "He wanted me to abdicate. He always said that if I took the throne, I would destroy everything he built, that I would bring everyone down with me!" He shouted, his voice echoing through the room, and with a violent gesture, he ripped the curtains from the window, tearing them without remorse.I tried to maintain my composure, but the chaos he caused around me made me even more nervous. "I understand... but still, he was your father. The only reference you had," I murmured hesitantly, my words coming out almost like a whisper. His gaze was devastating, rage bu

**POV Alpha Xavier**“Dad, look at my drawing!” I shouted, running as fast as my little legs could carry me, crossing the field towards the river. My father was there, standing on the opposite bank, his posture firm and imposing, while my mother sat beside him, her hands gently resting on her round belly. Their conversation seemed serious. My father had that distant and grave look, and my mother, though trying to hide it, seemed worried. But at that moment, I was too young to understand the weight of their words.I still remembered when my father wasn’t this cold and aggressive man. Before he became the ruthless alpha that the pack knew, he would come to visit us every day at five in the afternoon. On those days, he smiled more, brought gifts, and sometimes even lifted me into the air, as if I were the most important thing in the world to him. I must have been about two years old, and those memories, though distant, were the only ones I had of the man he used to be.“Look, dad!” I sai

Pov Alpha Xavier"No, Luke, please... you're being too cruel! He's still too young!" My mother pleaded, her voice broken with worry. She knew what was coming, and fear was evident in every word. But my father, hardened by anger and frustrated expectations, had no patience left for her pleas. He no longer saw her as his companion; the only thing that still mattered to him was the promise I represented."This boy needs to start training immediately!" He growled furiously, his eyes burning with impatience. The veins on his forehead bulged, his fists clenched at his sides. "Do you want him to grow up weak and useless, just because his mother pampered him too much?" He snarled at her, showing no concern for the fear on my mother's face. "My son will be an alpha! Like me! He will be my successor, and for that, he needs to be strong. Strong enough to protect himself and you, in case someone tries to attack us while I'm not around."That was the day my personal hell began. The training sessio

I lifted my head, quickly wiping away the tears that had fallen without my permission. I couldn’t appear weak, not in front of him. And there he was, Alpha Damon, standing outside the bars, wearing that cold, mocking smile that made me want to scream."What do you want here?" **Xavier's POV**Days had passed since the dust of war had settled, and I was finally crowned king. A grand ceremony took place, filled with ancient rituals and solemn words, but for me, the most significant moment was when Cassandra, by my side, received the crown of Luna. As the weight of gold was placed upon her head, I knew that, despite everything, she was my anchor, the reason why all of this was worth it.I looked at her, admiring her strength, even after all she had endured. There was an undeniable sadness in her eyes, but also a determination that made me believe that together we could overcome anything. After the coronation, my focus shifted to rebuilding the pack. The palace, devastated by the conflicts, began to be restored. The wounded soldiers received care, and the people returned to their homes. I made it a point to visit the families who had lost loved ones, offering help and ensuring that the future would be different. I promised myself that my leadership would be ma

The pain of childbirth had been excruciating, but nothing could compare to the wave of love that washed over me when I heard that fragile, delicate cry for the first time. My baby was here, in my arms, so small, so perfect. He was a boy. A beautiful, healthy boy, with eyes that, although newly opened, seemed to gaze directly at me. His skin, still red from the effort of entering the world, glowed under the flickering light of the flames illuminating the sky in the distance."My love... my boy..." I whispered, tears streaming down my face as I cradled him to my chest. Even with my body still aching from the pains of childbirth, I couldn’t take my eyes off him. I kissed his small forehead, feeling the warmth of his skin, and silently thanked the goddess of the moon for giving us this moment, even amid the chaos. But the moment of peace was brutally interrupted. The door was smashed open with a crash, and a group of men entered, their faces dirty and filled with hatred. **Alpha Xavier's POV**The smell of gunpowder and blood filled the air as we led the attack on the central hall. I could hear the echoes of our wolves' howls mixed with the cries of resistance from Alpha Valetim's guards. Everything was going according to plan — we were surrounding the palace, closing off all escape routes.Ahead of me, one of Valetim's army commanders trembled, his eyes darting quickly over the men surrounding him. His breathing was heavy, and I could see the sweat dripping down his face."You’re surrounded," I said firmly, my deep voice cutting through the air. "It’s no use resisting. This isn’t just a battle, it’s the revolt of the people. Your tyranny, and that of King Valetim, is over. There’s no way out for you. Surrender and open the gates."He hesitated, gripping his sword with trembling hands. I could see the conflict in his eyes — a mix of fear and desperate loyalty. Before he could respond, one of my men advanced, pressing the sharp point of a blade against

**Cassandra's POV**The months dragged on like centuries since Xavier disappeared. The last thing I heard was from some servants who claimed to have seen him working as a simple carpenter in a humble house nearby. They mocked him, calling him "The Crippled Alpha." The title had spread, and the rumors of his disability made him the subject of ridicule. His pack had abandoned him. When Valentim brought his punishment to everyone, most ran to save their own skins, including Jennie. From time to time, I would hear of hunts, captures, and the executions that followed. Valentim thought all of it was a big joke.Worse than the rumors were the photos. He sent them to me like slow poison, depicting Xavier limping, leaning on a cane, his exhausted face. Each image came with a messenger carrying gifts that piled up high in my room. They were never opened. I didn’t need to look to know they contained more insults than sincere intentions. That day, a servant entered, carrying a new batch."Luna, K

POV ALPHA XAVIERI was dragged through the dark, damp corridors of the dungeon like an animal about to be slaughtered. My wrists were bound by iron shackles that dug into my skin, causing constant pain. Two guards shoved me with every hesitation, their eyes filled with contempt. Finally, they stopped in front of a cell that smelled of urine, decay, and despair. Without ceremony, they threw me inside, and I stumbled, falling to the filthy floor. The sound of the iron door closing echoed through the dark space. I struggled to get up, wiping the blood from the corner of my lips, only to notice that the floor was infested with rats scurrying back and forth, fighting over pieces of spoiled food."Enjoy the hospitality, Cursed Alpha," one of the guards mocked. He held a plate with what looked like moldy bread and a bowl of sour broth. He pushed the food through the small opening in the cell and smiled maliciously. "This is your only meal of the day. Better save it."I didn't respond. I simp

With a swift movement, he grabbed Xavier's arm, pulling him close, and before I could even scream, the knife glinted under the light of the hall before plunging into the side of Xavier’s abdomen, just below his ribs. A muffled sound of torn flesh echoed through the hall, followed by Xavier’s scream of pain."Traitor!" Valentim roared, pointing the bloodstained knife at the guards around us.
