The Beta of the Royal Pack Nicholas was patrolling and inspecting the forest with a party of three warriors when he smelled something odd. He sniffs the air, identifying the source of the odour, and then sprints in that direction. He quickly arrives at a small riverbank in Royal Pack territory, only to be greeted by a red-haired girl. For her, the term "beautiful" is an understatement. She was simply breathtaking. He and the other three warriors were in awe of her. 'Why did she, who seems to be a human girl, come straight into our Royal territory!' he wondered. He took his attention away from the lovely unconscious girl lying on the riverbank and began checking the area for something suspicious. He approached her and knelt down and saw bruises on her flat stomach, which were apparently due to her slightly elevated tee. In addition, he noticed a deep cut on her forehead. He immediately made contact with his Alpha via mind link,
"What Nick?"
"Alpha you are needed here. We found a body in our territory river. We don't know how it got here. It still seems to be breathing. It's a human girl."
"What! How did that human girl get into our territory! The witches and warlocks did put a safety barrier! Didn't they?"
"Yes Alpha, but it seems like it floated into our territory. You have to see her she is GORGEOUS!"
"Not interested Beta, do your job! Take her down in the dungeon."
"But Alpha.."
"What Beta!"
"It seems to be unconscious, there is a deep cut on her forehead and there are also bruises around her body. I think she needs medical attention."
Prince Aiden sighed running his hand through his thick hair and finally replied after thinking for a while.
"Take her to the infirmary and inform me when she wakes up for interrogation."
"Yes, Alpha."
The Beta took the girl in the infirmary while back in the castle Prince Aiden was getting restless, slightly! His beast was behaving weirdly lately. Since the day he saw that girl in that small cafe! She had beautiful hazel brown eyes, just one look and he felt himself drowning in the pool of honey of her eyes. And that smile! It was small but it was forced yet it was the most beautiful smile he ever saw, since then his wolf was restless, weird. He couldn't concentrate on anything, all though he is supposed to be introducing Victoria to the nation the day after tomorrow still he couldn't get his heart to accept Victoria nor did his beast. His beast feels disgusted whenever Victoria is with them. Victoria is not bad looking but this is not about the looks this is more than that. Only if his parents and the council understood! He lets out a deep breath making his way to his bathroom.
"Alpha?"
He was in his office trying to concentrate on his paper works when the pack doctor Riley Thomson tried to mind link him
"Yes, Riley! What is it?"
"It is about the human girl your Beta brought in this morning, Your Highness!"
"Yes, what about it?"
"She seems to be in her..heat."
"What?"
"Yes Your Highness, she is in her heat and she passed out because of the injury on her forehead."
"So you're trying to tell me the human girl might have a wolf or vampire mate?"
"Yes, Your Highness. And her second wave of heat would be soon I presume."
"Okay, I will be sending some guards."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Prince Aiden was purely confused about the new piece of information he just got. He soon minds linked his Gamma Liam telling him to send some mated warriors to guard the human girl. His beast was more restless than before now, he was almost pushing his way out because he refused to go see the human girl. But his beast thought otherwise and even threatened to go on a rampage if he didn't go right away. Prince Aiden gave up and made his way to the infirmary. As soon as he entered the infirmary corridor a beautiful mouthwatering scent hit him, it was vanilla and lavender with a hint of the smell of rain and honey. His beast was howling and jumping up and down, the scent was faint but it was more than enough to drive him crazy and ask for more. His feet took him towards the room that the girl was kept. He turned the nob pushing the door open and that heavenly scent hit him with full force. He could get knocked out by the scent he thought until his eyes land on the figure lying unconscious on the hospital bed. She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Glossy ivory skin complexion, not too pale nor too dark just perfect. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on her long eyelashes that were sweeping on her cheeks. Her delicate ears framed a button nose sitting over her puffy heart-shaped lips. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, molten red hair. In one word she was an angel placed on the surface of the world. He was smitten by her beauty and that's when the word left his mouth
"Mate!"
Dr Riley looked at her Alpha and smiled, who absolutely ignored her presence. She tried to say something but she was shut when her Alpha and soon to be king raised his hand signalled her to leave. Prince Aiden went close to his sleeping beauty and sat down on a chair by the bed. His beast came forward peaking through his eyes to see their mate
'Mate is beautiful!'
'Yes! Yes she is Denzel'
He closed his eyes and said
'Thank you Moon Goddess' He opened his eyes and could not believe the Goddess answered his prayers and sent him such an angel as his mate. He was pulled out of his thoughts when the hospital rooms door opened and his Beta walked in with a smug look on his face.
"What is the Alpha doing here!"
"None of your business." And Aiden turned his attention towards his sleeping beauty. Nick looked towards the girl.
"Man she is breathtaking, isn't she!" A loud threatening growl escaped from Aiden and Nick turned his attention towards his Alpha who looked furious and ready to shred him into pieces. Nick gulped looked at the girl then again at his Alpha who's eyes was glowing bright gold and glued towards him. An amusing smile crawled its way onto Nick's face
"She is your mate! Isn't she?"
"Yes." Aiden looked away towards his sleeping mate.
"Congratulations man!" Nick let out a small chuckle. And Aiden ignored him completely.
"Well, I'll tell the organizers to stop preparing for the introduction than?"
"Yes, cancel it. And while you leave ask them to shift her to my room."
"Yes, sir!" He mockingly gave a salute and left while Prince Aiden just rolled his eyes and turned his concentration to his sleeping beauty. He just can't wait for her to open her eyes so he could see her eyes and hear her voice.
Beta Nick was more than happy for his dear friend and Alpha, he knows how much he hated to accept Victoria and how much he prayed to find his mate. He could already see pure love and adoration in his eyes for that girl.
She felt her head heavy and heard a continuous beeping sound as she tried to wake up. The light was harsh which caused her eyes pain, after adjusting to the bright light, she finally opened her eyes to meet with a plain white ceiling. She couldn't recognize the place she was and soon her nostrils picked up the intoxicating smell that got her beast and demon purred in delight. Her beast was happy inside the cage of her mind, after three weeks she finally felt her beast. Looking around her gaze locked with the most beautiful pair of blue eyes she saw three weeks ago. His eyes lit up with relief and adoration as his eyes met her hazel brown ones. It was getting hard for her to breath as his mouthwatering scent was engulfing her and his beautiful face was lit up with a smile. No one said anything as they were just looking at each other taking in every inch of their appearance, while a thousand emotions, thought crossed their mind. Until she screamed out in agony as another wave of heat ran through her body. Her body temperature was rising rapidly and the pain was more than she could bear. Not understanding what to do panic started to set on Aiden. An emotion that never crossed his path. Thinking quickly he shouted
"Dr Riley!" And he got closer to his mate and held her hand instantly feeling tingling sparks run down his body. She felt slightly cool off from his touch and his voice as he was continuously saying sweet nothings to her telling her to hang in there. Soon the doctor was here and she felt slight fear striking her knowing she was nowhere to be able to defend herself at the moment. But her beast was far from being concerned as she was purring and loving being touched by their mate even and hearing his husky voice whispering sweet nothings.
"Alpha the pain is too much for her." Nothing went through her head as the pain was getting more and more unbearable every passing second
"Than what do you want me to do!" He shouted feeling helpless as his mate was going through so much pain and he couldn't do anything.
"It would stop if you mark and mate her but...this is not the time I understand so I think I should just put her back to sleep."
"Do whatever you must."
Soon doctor pushed some sort of liquid into his mate's body with a syringe. She faintly heard the conversation between her mate and the unknown female doctor. Her vision got blurry and soon she was engulfed with darkness yet again.
Dusk comes sooner than Aiden had expected, the last of the sun's rays cosseted behind the soft grey cloud. The street takes on the look of an old photograph, every familiar thing a shade of grey. Slowly the view fades to blackness and the night begins. After a whole day of struggle and all kind of feelings, the Prince and his beast seemed to be slightly relaxing as their mate is out of her heat and still sleeping on their bed. It had taken the Prince every ounce of self-control not to lose it and mark his mate while she was still unconscious by the effects of the thing Dr Riley used to make his mate fall asleep. But even after a hectic day, he couldn't be more delighted that he finally found his other half, his Queen. Looking out from his balcony he felt the night was a special kind of blackness, the kind that wants only to hold the stars and help them to shine all the brighter. It was a warm black that hugged you no matter what, and within its safety, he could feel his own soul all the more clearly, that innocent inborn spark.
Walking back into his room, seeing his beautiful mate sleeping peacefully on his bed was enough for him to smile unconditionally! She was looking invincible as her fierce long red hair was laid on his pillow. Her long eyelashes are touching her rosy cheeks slightly, her lips are slightly parted as she was breathing softly. He went close to her kneeling down by her side she softly planted a kiss on her forehead and made his way out of his room.

After a few hours spending in his office, his beast was getting restless staying away from his mate. And he felt that too, that mate pull! He finally got up from his chair and made his way to see his mate. There was a small smile playing on his lips that were...rare! Soon the smile vanished into the air as his nostrils picked up the scent of fire, and it didn't take long before he knew where it was coming from. Moving at an inhuman speed he was in front of his room, breaking in he found what he hoped and prayed not to!
His mate was gone and the room was on fire!

She has seen darkness before, the kind that makes our street like an old fashioned photograph, everything a shade of grey. This isn't like that. This is the darkness that robs you of your best sense and replaces it with a paralyzing fear. In this darkness, she sits, muscles cramped and unable to move. She only knows her eyes are still there because she can feel herself blink, still instinctively moisturizing the organs she has no current use for. She can't hear anything either. She guessed that should bring her heart rate down below the level of "rabbit in a snare" but it doesn't. By her genes she is a predator, she has the front-facing eyes and brain enough to hunt, but she feels like prey in this utter black. The dawn is many hours away and until that precious time, she can only wait. She doesn't know how long she's be
"Your Highness," came a deep shaky, male voice from behind. "Let me guess, you haven't found her." He said it without glancing back. "N-no Your Highness." Before the man could blink, he was pinned to the wall by his neck. Prince Aiden squeezing his neck like it was a stress ball, "How did a girl despair under your nose? huh?" He asked, in an incredibly calm voice, that sent cold shivers down the man's spine. His eyes were blood-red mixed with gold yellow, indicating his beast was at bay. "I-uh" His voice came out to be scrambled "Who made you the head warrior again? And what's your job when you're at the border? Do remind me again, will you." Aiden said clenching his jaw. The head warrior tried to wiggle out of his strong grip, but it was in vain. He could not answer as his throat was being crushed. "Did she just vanish in thin air?" He asked him again. The head warrior was now gasping for air as his lungs were g
(The conversation between the beast and their human form is talking with one's subconscious. Beast can not talk in human form when they take over the body) "Why does this have to happen to me?" She said loudly as she began to run into the forest. She took off and threw away her heels as she cursed her mate, "I'm going to make sure you fucking pay well if I Lose these pair of Louis Vuitton, you fucking Prince!" She took the medium train of her dress and started running as fast as she could, as she heard thuds of paws hitting the ground. It did not take her long to understand that they were after her. She tried to run faster, but she found herself slowing down, pushing herself to use her Vampire speed, but she couldn't reach her Vampire side as her beast kept blocking her. Her beast was forcing her to shift. She kept
"What have they done to you! I'm so sorry love!" Looking at his mate's condition, Prince Aiden said in a sorrowful tone. He removed his jacket and wrapped it around his injured comrade, who was staring at him with wide eyes. He pulled her closer to him, protectively wrapping his arm around her. The heat emitted by him was soothing to her. His voice sounded concerned, but wasn't he the one who instructed his warriors to capture her? She thought to herself. "Do you know what the sentencing is for assaulting your future Luna? or should I help you in recollecting?" His voice had a dangerously low and deep tone to it. Implying that his beast was ready to attack and rip off anyone who dared to lay their filthy hands on his mate. "But she is the one who killed five of ou
The light grew steadily outside until the curtains glowed just the same as stained glass. She stuck her head behind the fabric to survey what the day might bring. The grassy yard was slick with water, though the puddles remained quite still, no hint of rain still falling. Above the clouds were still grey but without the denseness of yesterday, allowing patches of blue to form. She walked back to her bed and sat down. The horizon was just beginning to take on gold hues, and the sun had not yet risen. She awoke an hour ago, having gotten the most sleep she had in years. There was still an hour until dawn. Throughout the hour, she tried to find her way out of this castle, or at least out of this room. She still can't believe The Prince put metal bars on the balcony, preventing her from jumping out. Did she mention the guards
It's been quite a few hours since the Alpha abandoned her in his bedroom. With each passing second, her impatience grew. She attempted to break through the door, but the guards stationed outside appear to be uninterested about her existence. She finally takes in the room after being in it for the third time. In the center of the room is a California King-size bed. A dark-grey duvet with simple white designs, a few puffy pillows, one of which bears the palace emblem, a dark marble fireplace flanked by a lounging chair of black and gold velvet, and another set of chairs placed in the massive balcony with white curtains on the door and massive tall windows. The black and grey coloured walls are flawless; there is no trace of the fire she had set the last time she managed to run.

"Will this be all, My Lady?" Dorothy inquired as she fastened the final brooch of the Silver Royal Mantle."Yes, thank you, Dorothy." Dorothy, the new head court lady, bowed and walked out, and Seraphina smiled. Seraphina later found out that Megan had been murdered after she had discovered Freya adulterating her drinks. And soon when everything slowly fell into place Dorothy succeeded Megan.Seraphina took a final glimpse of herself in the mirror as she exhaled a deep breath. She was dressed in an A-line gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. Lace tails onto the shoulder and comes back up at the wrist. The back bodice is a lovely illusion made of lace that opens and closes with buttons and loops. The lace trails back onto the skirt. A dramatic lace border completes the hem. Her hair was styled in a simple sweet hive updo. Her look was completed with a simple necklace and diamond studs."You look stunning!" Hilda complemented as she walked in through t
"In the infirmary!" As soon as he said it, her legs carried her down the corridor, down the stairs, and into the pack infirmary on their own. She felt the dampness on her cheeks as her legs carried her towards the male her heart craved. She rushed through the grassy field, tears streaming down her cheeks, without even bothering to wipe them, and soon arrived at the infirmary. Hilda was standing on the first floor, her face glum. When she saw Seraphina, her eyes widened."Where is he?" Hilda only pointed to the door at the end of the hallway when she asked. She dashed towards the door, but a hand captured her forearm before she could break through."They're operating on him." He said this, and she turned around to face Emmerich."Tėtis!" She wrapped her arms around him and sobbed on his shoulder. He stroked her hair tenderly as he held her."It's okay, he'll be alright!" He tried to console her, but all she did was sob."Why does this always have to happen to
She was the only beating heart, the only being of warm blood and flesh in those cold, lonely halls of the castle. The walls around her were undoubtedly familiar to her in the recent past, these walls had started becoming her home, making her feel she belonged somewhere, but it was all now a strange maze. The light fell on the words that spoke to no one, unaware that their audience had vanished or that the stone floor lay silent beneath no feet except her. It was as if Goddess had stopped time, removed all the distractions so she could see it for real, see how it really was, what it really was. And all she wanted at the time was another beating heart in this deserted castle, another being of warm blood and flesh, another pair of feet to walk beside hers. Her shaky feet were giving up, unable to bear the weight of her being, of her heavy heart. Her hand clutched her chest tightly as she struggled into the first floor. His scent hit her full force
"I'm not a flower of darkness! I have seen the brighter world and I don't wish to go back to a world where light doesn't exist!" She raised her gaze and Mia shrieked. She looked down as a sharp pain sprouted on her abdomen. Seraphina's hands held a dagger as she pushed it deeper into Mia's stomach. She leaped back to Aiden, who gleefully drew her into his arms, his face solemn as he stared at Mia. Seraphina said as Mia fell to her knees."Don't think I didn't notice you were obstructing my path to Cora. You gave me no choice but to strike!""Your blade is your true nature! You will kill anyone who is an impediment! Be it the female who raised you!" Their gazes were drawn to the forest's shadows. As the man walked into the dim light, their eyes widened as if they'd seen a ghost."F-father!" Aiden stuttered.Bruce stared at Malcolm's beheaded corpse."What a pity!" He scoffed and took a step closer to Mia. He knelt and snatched her jaw."Are yo
Kendrick and the warriors rushed up the stairs to the fourth floor. He came to a standstill when he noticed the female facing him, standing there with a heart in her palm. He and the warriors raised their weapons, aiming at the female, and the rattle of their weapons drew Bruce's attention, causing him to turn around."Your Majesty!" Kendrick exclaimed in disbelief, and Bruce's face was hidden behind a menacing grimace. Bruce turned around with the female behind him, wagging his finger. When feral hisses surrounded Kendrick and his warriors, they shrieked. Bruce simply walked away as the creatures ripped the Lycans apart, their howls filling the entire hall."Liam! I need you to find and protect Seraphina. She's with Malcolm, and I suspect he'll try to use her demon. Keep an eye on her and keep her from shifting." Aiden ordered"Until my last breath!" said Liam curtly."Nicholas and I will be fighting on the front lines. No creature shall come near
An amicable, quiet evening was suddenly shattered by anguish and terror. The violent explosion rattled the entire packhouse, and the Lycan and Wolves who lived there fled in terror. The power had been cut off, and the impact had shattered the majority of the windows. The warriors had already gathered around the packhouse."Where is His Highness?" Kendrick, the head warrior, who had been moving around making sure everyone was headed to the safe house, asked another warrior."Last I heard, they're all in the conference hall!" He said this with a panicked tonality in his voice. Kendrick looked up at the building and dashed into the packhouse "The impact was on the fourth floor! Let's go!" Nearby warriors followed him into the basement, through the secured door they entered the armory."We don't know who attacked or how many there are, so bring as many weapons as you need and arm yourself! Notify the battle regiment and the border guards!" Kendrick ordered whi
"What are you so engrossed in?" Aiden inquired as he sat on the lounge chair next to Seraphina. She raised her head in surprise when she heard his voice."When did you return?" With a smile, she asked. He loosened his tie and sat down on the chair."Just a few moments ago. What are you reading?" He questioned, leaning in to read the title of the book she held in her hand."The history of Drinealia and Auhesraivia. You know, it was very harmonious back then." She sighed and closed the book."What do you mean?""What I mean is...come in!" When someone knocked on the door, she paused to let them in.Freya walked in with a cheerful smile and a tray in her hand. When she saw Aiden, her eyes widened in shock, and she instantaneously bowed her head. Seraphina had persuaded Freya not to curtsey to her, and Freya had agreed."Your Highnesses!" Seraphina gladly accepted the mug she offered."Thank you!" Seraphina thanked her, and Freya walked out,
"Training with him can't be that bad!" Aiden tried for the tenth time that morning to calm an anxious Seraphina. She'd been pacing back and forth in their chamber all morning."You've got no idea. Goddess knows how long he lived on this god-forsaken earth, and how many great warriors he trained. I had seen him train juveniles when I was a child. And it was heinous." She shuddered and hugged herself. He sighed and drew her closer, and she buried her face in his chest."You are incredible at combat, sword fighting, and many other things I am unaware of. So don't be concerned, and show him how incredible you are." He said this, and she lifted her head to look at him. She pecked his lips with a smile."You should now get going. He'll be upset if you're late." She nodded and hugged him before pulling away."I'll see you later." She said and he kissed her forehead. They said their goodbyes, and she walked away. "Tėtis?" As she stood on the open lawn surr
Every step was guarded by a Drinealia soldier. They saluted her with their heads bowed and their right fist pressed over their hearts as she passed by. She was reminded of her childhood when she used to run around the corridors of the Castle of Drinealia. The soldier came to a halt in front of a door at the far end of the corridor and knocked. With his head bowed, he stepped aside and pushed open the door for her. As attendants dressed him, the Demon King stood with his hands spread to his sides in front of a huge shining mirror, she walked in. He was dressed in black knee-length leather boots and black leather pants tucked into the boots. He was dressed in a black shirt, and two attendants carefully slipped him into a silver-gold armor vest. A brown animal skin was wrapped around his waist, and a long gold knotted belt endorsed the animal skin. The attendants delicately draped the black Royal Mantle of Drinealia over his shoulder, securing it with a silver brooch
