Losing The Rogues, Again

POV: Xander

It was a few hours after Heath and I went to the room. She was still brooding, so I cuddled her to sleep, hoping to go down to the basement she fell asleep. I didn’t plan to fall asleep in her soft embrace. Holding her so close to my heart does so much to me, I felt so calm and peaceful within me. I didn’t know when I fell asleep with her in my arms. But the moment I realized myself, I got up immediately, placing her on the bed slowly before getting up to leave the room. I tiptoed out of the room so I don’t wake her up, and I shut the door quietly.

I felt a cold chill on my skin the moment I stepped out of our bedroom. It felt like I was being watched right now, but when I looked around me, I couldn’t find anything or anyone. I looked up at the security cameras and I discovered that it was focused on me, as if someone was in the security room, watching me through the security cameras.
