*Pryce Winsley's POV*
---
"Hey, are you ready?" My grinning mate asked me as she held my left hand with her right one, and I took a deep breath and nodded my head in response.
"I don't know if I'm nervous or excited, Blair," I uttered and turned my head to look at her pretty face, and the girl chuckled.
"Well, I guess you are nercited then." She replied that it made me let out a soft laugh. Yeah, indeed.
I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I found myself standing outside a huge wooden double door. It's Cassie's porch. Damn, I can't imagine what she looks like now, or if she has a family of her own, what her job is, and everything else that I have missed for the last thirty years. That was surely longer than the years that I have lived.
And when Blair noticed that I was about to push the doorbell button, she stopped me, and I showed her a look on my face that seemed to say, "What?"
"Aren't we supposed to surprise her, babe?" She asked, which made me look at her with my unimpressed face.
"Isn't our presence in her front door so early in the morning, and also, knowing that we are alive after thirty years, not enough surprise, Blair?" I told her the obvious, and the red-eyed hybrid shook her head in response. Well, if it's me being visited by someone who just rose from death, I would be so damn surprised and would surely freak out, or I would extremely be happy, especially if it is someone so dear to me. Oh, I am missing my mom so much—also, Dad. I will surely visit him soon.
"Why don't we spice it up? Like, you know, Sweetheart, surprise her in an inhuman way. In the supernatural level kind of surprise. Do you know what I mean, Babe?" She replied while wearing an evil smile, and I looked at her weirdly. And the girl just winked at me. Hmm, I guess she is prepared whenever the witch would throw knives at us, or worse, freeze us and send us back to our graves. Damn, I can imagine the scenario.
"Alright, impress me," I told her, to which she wiggled her eyebrows in response. This is exactly what happens if you have a freak for a girlfriend and a mate at the same time. It's exciting.
After she told me the things that I needed to do for this inhuman act to surprise my best friend, we teleported inside the mansion. Yes, this is her brilliant plan. To creep inside like a damn creep. I just hope that this will end well without blood, fire, lightning, ice swords, water tornados, and other supernatural forces appearing. Damn, we could have just knocked on the door, for our freaking sake.
"Wow, look at these things here! Fancy." My amazed mate let out in awe as we stroll into the living room. Then she used her telekinetic witch ability to take the remote from the glass table fronting the couches and turned on the TV without touching anything.
"Let's go to the kitchen, Honey-bee. I'm hungry." She uttered and disappeared, and I let out a small sigh and thought of going to the kitchen to follow her. I will just let her lead the way.
Well, I am loving this teleporting stuff of being a vampire. It's like you are dreaming. Free transportation, and as quick as a wink, you are already at your destination. Well, I never thought that I could be experiencing what the characters in the fiction books that I have read before can do. It's amazing.
"What do they have here? Mmm. Ice creams? Nope. Ice pops? Nah-ah. Ice cubes? What for? She can definitely always make ice. Hmm. Frozen chicken meat and pork. Absolutely not! Let us go to the cooler section. Celery? Carrots? Butter? Eggs? No. Soda? Milk? Mhmm. Apple, Cupcake?" My girlfriend explored every compartment of the fridge and handed me an apple.
"Where is the cupcake, Blair?" I asked her as I took the cold fruit from her hand, yet I tried to look for the sweet she mentioned. That would be nice to eat for energy.
And, my mate slowly turned to look at me with her eyes blinking. What is the matter with her?
"You do know that you are my Cupcake, Pryce, don't you?" She replied, which made me raise an eyebrow in realization. Hmm. Damn this almost-three-century-old vampire-witch for calling me lots of names. But, honestly, I find it so sweet. I feel like blushing every time she pronounces them, just like the old days. I did miss her calling me those, and here she is again.
A smile slowly crept on my face when she gave me a knowing look and was about to lean in to kiss me. Oh, yes, the kiss. Of course!
But then I felt a presence of something approaching where we are that made me step back from her to see the creature clearly. Why does everyone love interrupting our intimate moments?
"Mommy!!!"
It's a child that screamed at the top of his lungs out of surprise—a little boy.
"Hey there, little guy. What's your name?" Blair greeted and asked the scared child, and he seemed to breathe heavily. Uh-uh.
"You are scaring the child, Blair," I whispered to her, and she looked at me with a troubled face.
"Why? Do I look like a... Zombie." She replied, and thankfully, she realized that she is wearing partially burned clothes, and I just nodded my head at her in response. One hundred percent, My Love. And me? I do look like a damn white lady. We are a perfect couple.
"Apples. You... You... stole them." He stuttered while pointing at us, and I looked at the fruits that I have in my hold and Blair's. Yeah, we did.
"Blair, I think we better get out of here. There are people coming down the stairs." I told my mate, and she held my free hand, and I noticed that we are here now in the living room.
"They are here. I could feel them. I hear them. This is so exciting, don't you think, Baby-blue?" She let out and took a bite of her apple and sat on the couch to watch TV.
"Yeah, I hear them, too. It's Alison and Cassie, right?" I replied and sat down beside her, but we turned our heads near the door when we heard a voice.
"Mom?"
It's a girl who just walked in—a teenager.
"What is it, Hon?" It's Cassie. Oh, I missed her voice, even if it was just yesterday that I had heard it.
"Who are these people watching TV while eating apples on our couch?" The lovely girl asked and just kept looking at us.
And me? I am just smiling at her. My mate? She's just chewing the fruit in her mouth and kept staring back at the girl.
We heard footsteps that are coming here from the kitchen. And this is it. I could finally have a glimpse of them again.
Then we turned our heads to look at the newcomers.
Aww. Alison is carrying the little boy in her arms, and here is my best friend looking like she just saw ghosts. Yes, bitch, we are.
"Blair? Pryce?" Cassie muttered in disbelief and gasped when she finally saw us.
"Surprise!!!" Blair and I yelled in unison as we had planned, and I guess they were surely surprised. Like, who wouldn't be?
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV* --- Tears fell from her warm blue eyes... As expected. And damn! She looks different from the last time that I saw her. Her hair was in a ponytail, and now, it's down. Different, right? "Tell me I'm not dreaming." She began while slowly walking where Pryce and I are, and I cleared my throat as l will be the one to tell her since my mate here is also bawling her eyes out but smiling. "Sander, you are not dreaming," I told her as she said, and I went to sit on the headrest of the couch to get a better view of them. It's just a magnificent sight to see two very close friends reunited again. For Pryce, it was just yesterday, but for my cousin, it was an eternity.
*Pryce Winsley's POV* --- After meeting my best friend's family, with which we shed tears, and knowing a few important details about the things that Blair and I have missed about them, here are the two Northern Witches now discussing magical crystals of their race. "You do have your Octavia's Crystal, don't you, Blairie?" Cassie asked the inquisitive hybrid, and Blair took out her necklace to show it and replied, "Yeah." "That one makes you human if you wish to be because of the spell in it. It hides your supernatural auras and form. And it works for witches only, whether Northern or Southern. While this Mirak's Crystal, which I have acquired by the moment I turned twenty-one and was given to me by my mom, lets any witch travel to places by creating a portal if you wish to do so.
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV* --- "Mommy, are you okay?" The little boy worriedly asked his mother, who has been puking her digestive system out, and I caressed her back to soothe her feelings and help her empty her stomach from the coffee and pancake that she had eaten earlier. "I can't believe that you still lose your sh-what you have in your tummy when teleporting, Sander," I told her while trying not to say the shit-word because AC is listening. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand after cleaning herself using the water on the fountain fronting the palace. "No, I don't get dizzy when I am using the crystal in going to places, Blairie. It's only your vampire-teleporting-shit is making me vomit my freaking intestines out!" She retorted and walked to get insid
*Pryce Winsley's POV* --- I looked around while wearing a puzzled face, the same as Blair when we arrived in a place that was so familiar to me. My room. Yet, it looks like someone else's now. "Who the fudge would be settling in here without your permission, babe? And where the heck on earth are your things?" My bewildered mate cursed as she noticed the things that I had. None of these are mine. What happened here? "I don't know, Blair. I don't know. But that was a long time since we were gone." I replied as I traced my fingers on the study table where there was something that seemed to be a flat-screen, and it's attached to a keyboard. Is this what a computer looks like now? It's light, thin, and fancy.
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV* --- "They're blue," I told my mate as I kept staring at her eyes, and I never thought that I would be seeing them in this color again. I missed them. I missed staring at her electric blue eyes. "What do you mean blue, Blair?" She asked, wearing a puzzled face, and I smiled as I silently wished to be in my vampire form. I just need to confirm something since I broke off from our passionate kiss when I felt her body temperature suddenly change. She's warm. And hot. Super. Especially that she is just in her two-piece now. Yeah, I got rid of her white dress without breaking our kiss. My hands are just doing their jobs flawlessly. "Human," I uttered after I felt her aura. It's purely human now.
*Pryce Winsley's POV* --- I was about to get out of bed after I felt something familiar downstairs, and I quickly grabbed the sheets to cover my nakedness when someone suddenly appeared near the bed where my mate and I are on as we are just wearing our birthday suit. And I yelled in surprise, "Cassie, what the shit?" "Oh, damn! Sorry!" She cursed and hastily turned her back on us, and I heard Blair giggled. "Hi, Prycie! Now we're even, Blairie!" My best friend cheered as she walked a distance, and my mate just laughed and replied, "Yeah, right! So expect that I would be the one to run into you next." What the heck are they talking all about? "No! You shouldn't dare." The witch coun
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV*---My tears uncontrollably fell from my eyes, staring at my mate while feeling all her emotions. I walked nearer to her as I let out a fireball on my right hand enough to light up our surroundings.I rubbed her back with my left hand to comfort her while we both looked at the tombstones before us with the names Prescilla Karstensen and Kyle Conor Winsley engraved on them, her parents.A sad sigh escaped from her, and slowly, she rested her head on my shoulder and wrapped an arm halfway around my waist."They are just being fair, don't you think, Blair?" She asked me with her low voice, and I lightly nodded my head in response. Losing someone you love is an a
*Pryce Winsley's POV* --- "Show us your beast form, Pryce." Oriana Hildebrand, the head of the Worldwide Werewolf Council, aka my grandmother, ordered while I stood in the center of the room, circled by a huge screen with people in them. Six mighty leaders of each Continental Werewolf Council, who were currently in the other parts of the world, and here with me are the queen, General Rayver- aka Ali's right-hand, and my grandmother. And honestly, all I feel is pressure. For the last ten minutes of me being in this room, it seemed like the spotlight had been on me always. I mean, I am used to being the one that leads, commands, and manages my employees at the academy, but this one is hugely different. It's pretty monstery, and damn, I am clueless as heck being one of them, a werewolf. And now, they are asking me to transform i
*Pryce Winsley's POV* --- "Everything started with me living a normal, quite luxurious human life. I was fine doing things I used to do, co-manage the academy I inherited from my mother, calling and chatting with my best friend who's a few thousand miles away from me, and meeting with my dad regularly for dinner. And my life unexpectedly turned upside down when I met a lovely but rude girl at my bookstore who had spilled my iced coffee on my chest. She is so damn mean on so many levels. Honestly, she is beautiful, but she's an insolent human being. It's a great turn-off, indeed. Well, that was my first impression of meeting Blair. I did wonder why on that very day I met her, I never thought of anything normal. She has always stayed in my mind, and I dreamed of her every dam
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh’s POV* --- “Who placed the cat inside the oven?!!!” I heard my mate’s angry voice blaring from the house, particularly in the kitchen, and I wondered what hullabaloo had happened in there this time. The cat? In the oven? That's crazy! I pulled the fishing line and the bait out of the water and kept the line to the reel of my fishing rod. I looked at the bucket beside me with only one fish swimming in it, which Pryce had fished here in our lake after almost half an hour of us doing this tedious stuff out here. She went to check on the kids, and I suppose there is some fuss going on that needs our special attention… as parents. “Bradley? Preston? Get in her

*Pryce Winsley’s POV*---“Oh, bloody hell! Why are you both seeming like you’ve been from a war?”“What happened to you?”“Are you okay?”Our human friends greeted us as they all stood up from the couch while worry and panic were written clearly on their faces.Did they have a sleepover here and are waiting for us? But I feel so happy to know they are okay.“Well, we have actually been from a war… With monsters, ladies. Mhmm. Lots of monsters.” Blair answered them, wearing her usual big smile, and they all looked at us from head to toe and front to back. Then Andrea looked closely
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV*---“What’s the matter, Blair?” Pryce asked me, and I just showed her a sheepish smile.“Ugh, don’t bother telling me. I know you don't know how to do such a spell. Thankfully, we have you witch queen mother here to help us.” She sighed in a bit of frustration, and we both teleported to where my mom was to ask for help.We saw how the Queen of the Nwitches and the Vampire King fought the dominating hybrid challenger, and we took my mother’s attention to share our plan with her.She came closer to us, asking if we were okay. Then I let her read my mind to tell her what we wanted her to do secretly, and she nodded her head.
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh’s POV* --- “Did you kill them all that quick, Mom?” I asked my mother in shock as I saw that not a single creature around us was on their feet. The Queen of the Northern Witches turned to me, making me flinch when I saw her eyes were black. And she seemed to be murmuring something. Hold on… what in the heck happened to her? Is she okay? Or did she do some epic magic that caused the enemies to fall to the ground in an instant? Her eyes slowly came back to their blue color, and I presume she’s in herself now. “Claude, dear, are you okay? I saw what happened to you here from Pryce’s mind. She went to us just a while ago, and we were so worried. Are you
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh’s POV* --- “No! You cannot do this to me! You are going to pay---” Hera screamed in anger when her energy ball attack bounced back onto her, making her kneel when she was hit on her belly, but I cut her off, saying, “Hold up, Old Lady. Who’s the bad guy here? I don’t remember being kidnapped, tortured, and threatened with death was a bad deed. I mean… We were your victims. You should be the one paying the price you cost us.” I crossed my arms on my chest as I stood three meters close to where she was, imprisoned by the circle of salt, and she tried to send another attack by making a rock fly to my face, but it just shattered the moment it touched the boundary. “You killed my family! You took everything from me!” She belted and made some roots of the pla
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh's POV*---"What now, Princess? It's so sad to witness you being unable to do anything to save yourself. Don't worry. Damien will spare your life for last." The ugly witch taunted me, and I just laughed maniacally at her.Who the fudge is she kidding?"Oh, wow! Thank you. That's so sweet of you to worry about me. Truly! Now, should I begin to kneel, beg, and worship the king? Oh, I forgot, I cannot kneel. Why? Because my knees were under the ground already. Very funny! I'm on my knees! It's so funny. My veins could pop by laughing my ass off. Haha! Pathetic." I replied with the highest sarcasm I could offer her, and I saw how her left eye twitched in annoyance because, of course, she was not impressed. The
*Pryce Winsley’s POV* --- “Oh, My Holy Sheemiyow! Who the---? Prycie? Is that you? Is that? Oh, gosh! Does this blood on the floor belong to you? What the bloody hell happened to you?” I heard my best friend’s panicking voice booming as she had just walked in the kitchen, and I turned my back from her, putting the frozen chunks of meat in my hold on the countertop. Then I shifted into my human-vampire form to talk to her properly. I winced in pain as I could still feel pang from my partly healed wound. “What in the world is happening? Why do you have all this blood on the floor? Are you okay? Are you hurt? What happened? Let me see it!” She asked again, her eyes wide in surprise while looking at my torn gold armor
