Dead Zone

As Aleksander stood up at the Spaceship's door, waiting for it to roll up, it was easy to see Prince Dreksil's serene expression in him. Although he could have teleported inside, he anticipated Izabella to be waiting at the door with her hand on his back, embracing and kissing him passionately.

Oh, how he missed her, he reflected. He eagerly anticipated seeing her once more. And now, my queen!

As soon as he arrived, Aleksander's smile vanished and was replaced with a frown since his wife—who he had expected to be waiting for him—was not there.

"Marlo..." His gaze swept the deserted hallway as he called.

"Oh, wonderful! Now that you've returned, where is Izabella? "He queried her.

Aleksander's eyes grew wide, and he turned pale, "Really? "Marlo, you've got to be kidding me."

"I thought you were going to save her," Marlo said.

He stepped back in shock, "No," he said. His face twitched, appearing as though he wanted to cry. And then he left without a trace.
