ATHENA

Immediately I opened my eyes, they were greeted by the warm rays of sunlight that seeped in through the open windows. This was the first time in a very long time that I was having a very good rest and my heart was actually at peace. I knew it shouldn’t be because we were not completely out of the clear, but for some strange reason, I felt completely relaxed about everything.

I sat up in bed and looked around, taking in the scene of the room as I thought about what today held. Being cooked up in the room and house all day had proven to be extremely boring but after all the recent activities that had happened, I knew exactly why I had to be in the house. A part of me was still scared that my father would do something completely crazy, for some strange reason, I couldn’t completely shake that feeling.

This was the exact same way I had felt before we learnt about the abduction of Rafael’s mother. I didn’t know what to make of it though and so I brushed it to the back of my thoughts
