ATHENA

I was walking back to the room after excusing myself from the dining table, the whole vibe around there was too much for me to take. The two of them seemed like they were just waiting for me to leave in order to start talking. I thought about eavesdropping on their conversation but then there was no point in me doing that and there was no way I could do that because of how the dining room was structured.

All I could do now was head back to the room, but then I couldn’t still shake that feeling that I knew his friend from somewhere. Ever since I saw his face, it had been on my mind like a tape that was stuck and didn’t want to play. I knew the answer was just right there but for some strange reason my brain was finding it extremely hard to assess that particular memory.

Could it have been a party? Or a gathering? Did we talk to each other?
