Thaddeus kissed Jessamine, leaving her feeling dazed.

Thaddeus's hand slid up her dress, looking for that particular soft spot of hers but stopping at her lower abdomen.

He lifted her nightgown and saw a surgical scar on her otherwise flawless skin.
