"You're being so obedient," Thaddeus noted.

Jessamine buried her face in his arms, smelling the sweat from his workout. She thought that was the scent of hormones.

"Why aren't you answering?" he asked.

Jessamine felt as though her heart melted. It was the first time he talked to her about his schedule while hugging her. Back when she called and asked, he would refuse to answer and find her annoying.
